فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِی رَبِّی حُكۡمࣰا وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٢١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers
Abdel Haleem: and I fled from you in fear; later my Lord gave me wisdom and made me one of His messengers
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him)

قُل لَّن یَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلۡفِرَارُ إِن فَرَرۡتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ أَوِ ٱلۡقَتۡلِ وَإِذࣰا لَّا تُمَتَّعُونَ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا ۝١٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Say, [O Muhammad], "Never will fleeing benefit you if you should flee from death or killing; and then [if you did], you would not be given enjoyment [of life] except for a little."
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], say, ‘Running away will not benefit you. If you manage to escape death or slaughter, you will only be permitted to enjoy [life] for a short while.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Say: Flight will not avail you if ye flee from death or killing, and then ye dwell in comfort but a little while
The Winnowing Winds, The Scatterers 51:50 Verb
فَفِرُّوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّی لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٥٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So flee to Allah . Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner
Abdel Haleem: [So, say to them, Prophet], ‘Quickly, turn to God- I am sent by Him to give you clear warning

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ ٱلَّذِی تَفِرُّونَ مِنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَـٰقِیكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَـٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ فَیُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."
Abdel Haleem: so say, ‘The death you run away from will come to meet you and you will be returned to the One who knows the unseen as well as the seen: He will tell you everything you have done.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do

وَتَحۡسَبُهُمۡ أَیۡقَاظࣰا وَهُمۡ رُقُودࣱۚ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمۡ ذَاتَ ٱلۡیَمِینِ وَذَاتَ ٱلشِّمَالِۖ وَكَلۡبُهُم بَـٰسِطࣱ ذِرَاعَیۡهِ بِٱلۡوَصِیدِۚ لَوِ ٱطَّلَعۡتَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ لَوَلَّیۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِرَارࣰا وَلَمُلِئۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ رُعۡبࣰا ۝١٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror
Abdel Haleem: You would have thought they were awake, though they lay asleep. We turned them over, to the right and the left, with their dog stretching out its forelegs at the entrance. If you had seen them, you would have turned and run away, filled with fear of them
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And thou wouldst have deemed them waking though they were asleep, and We caused them to turn over to the right and the left, and their dog stretching out his paws on the threshold. If thou hadst observed them closely thou hadst assuredly turned away from them in flight, and hadst been filled with awe of them

وَإِذۡ قَالَت طَّاۤىِٕفَةࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ یَـٰۤأَهۡلَ یَثۡرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمۡ فَٱرۡجِعُوا۟ۚ وَیَسۡتَءۡذِنُ فَرِیقࣱ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلنَّبِیَّ یَقُولُونَ إِنَّ بُیُوتَنَا عَوۡرَةࣱ وَمَا هِیَ بِعَوۡرَةٍۖ إِن یُرِیدُونَ إِلَّا فِرَارࣰا ۝١٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee
Abdel Haleem: Some of them said, ‘People of Yathrib, you will not be able to withstand [the attack], so go back!’ Some of them asked the Prophet’s permission to leave, saying, ‘Our houses are exposed,’ even though they were not- they just wanted to run away
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when a party of them said: O folk of Yathrib! There is no stand (possible) for you, therefor turn back. And certain of them (even) sought permission of the Prophet, saying: Our homes lie open (to the enemy). And they lay not open. They but wished to flee

Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"
Abdel Haleem: on that Day man will say, ‘Where can I escape?’
