Verse 26:101 in Context

97
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ ٩٧
tal-lahi in kunnā lafī ḍalālin mubīni
‘We were clearly misguide
98
إِذۡ نُسَوِّیكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ٩٨
idh nusawwīkum birabbi l-ʿālamīn
when we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds
99
وَمَاۤ أَضَلَّنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ٩٩
wamā aḍallanā illā l-muj'rimūn
It was the evildoers who led us astray
100
فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِینَ ١٠٠
famā lanā min shāfiʿīn
and now we have no intercesso
101
وَلَا صَدِیقٍ حَمِیمࣲ ١٠١
walā ṣadīqin ḥamīmi
and no true friend
102
فَلَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةࣰ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ١٠٢
falaw anna lanā karratan fanakūna mina l-mu'minīn
If only we could live our lives again, we would be true believers!’
103
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ١٠٣
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
There truly is a sign in this, though most of them do not believe
104
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ١٠٤
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
your Lord alone is the Almighty, the Merciful
105
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ١٠٥
kadhabat qawmu nūḥin l-mur'salīn
The people of Noah, too, called the messengers liars
