Verse 26:217 in Context

213 فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُعَذَّبِینَ ۝٢١٣ falā tadʿu maʿa l-lahi ilāhan ākhara fatakūna mina l-muʿadhabīn So [Prophet] do not invoke any gods beside God, or you will incur punishment 214 وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِیرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِینَ ۝٢١٤ wa-andhir ʿashīrataka l-aqrabīn Warn your nearest kinsfol 215 وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٢١٥ wa-ikh'fiḍ janāḥaka limani ittabaʿaka mina l-mu'minīn and lower your wing tenderly over the believers who follow you 216 فَإِنۡ عَصَوۡكَ فَقُلۡ إِنِّی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢١٦ fa-in ʿaṣawka faqul innī barīon mimmā taʿmalūn If they disobey you, say, ‘I bear no responsibility for your actions.’
217 وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ۝٢١٧ watawakkal ʿalā l-ʿazīzi l-raḥīm Put your trust in the Almighty, the Merciful
218 ٱلَّذِی یَرَىٰكَ حِینَ تَقُومُ ۝٢١٨ alladhī yarāka ḥīna taqūm who sees you when you stand up [for prayer] 219 وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِی ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٢١٩ wataqallubaka fī l-sājidīn and sees your movements among the worshippers 220 إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٢٢٠ innahu huwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing 221 هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ۝٢٢١ hal unabbi-ukum ʿalā man tanazzalu l-shayāṭīn Shall I tell you who the jinn come down to
