Verse 37:118 in Context

114 وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ۝١١٤ walaqad manannā ʿalā mūsā wahārūn We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron 115 وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُمَا وَقَوۡمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝١١٥ wanajjaynāhumā waqawmahumā mina l-karbi l-ʿaẓīm We saved them and their people from great distress 116 وَنَصَرۡنَـٰهُمۡ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ۝١١٦ wanaṣarnāhum fakānū humu l-ghālibīn We helped them, so they were the ones to succeed 117 وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمَا ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَبِینَ ۝١١٧ waātaynāhumā l-kitāba l-mus'tabīn We gave them the Scripture that makes things clear
118 وَهَدَیۡنَـٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَ ٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِیمَ ۝١١٨ wahadaynāhumā l-ṣirāṭa l-mus'taqīm We guided them to the right path
119 وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمَا فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١١٩ wataraknā ʿalayhimā fī l-ākhirīn We let them be praised by succeeding generations 120 سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ۝١٢٠ salāmun ʿalā mūsā wahārūn ‘Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!’ 121 إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١٢١ innā kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn This is how We reward those who do good 122 إِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٢٢ innahumā min ʿibādinā l-mu'minīn truly they were among Our faithful servants
