33
وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذۡ أَدۡبَرَ ٣٣
wa-al-layli idh adbar
By the departing night
34
وَٱلصُّبۡحِ إِذَاۤ أَسۡفَرَ ٣٤
wal-ṣub'ḥi idhā asfar
By the shining dawn
35
إِنَّهَا لَإِحۡدَى ٱلۡكُبَرِ ٣٥
innahā la-iḥ'dā l-kubar
It is one of the mightiest things
36
نَذِیرࣰا لِّلۡبَشَرِ ٣٦
nadhīran lil'bashar
a warning to all mortals
37
لِمَن شَاۤءَ مِنكُمۡ أَن یَتَقَدَّمَ أَوۡ یَتَأَخَّرَ ٣٧
liman shāa minkum an yataqaddama aw yata-akhar
to those of you who choose to go ahead and those who lag behind
38
كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ رَهِینَةٌ ٣٨
kullu nafsin bimā kasabat rahīnatu
Every soul is held in pledge for its deeds
39
إِلَّاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبَ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ٣٩
illā aṣḥāba l-yamīn
but the Companions of the Right will sta
40
فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ یَتَسَاۤءَلُونَ ٤٠
fī jannātin yatasāalūn
in Gardens and as
41
عَنِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ٤١
mā salakakum fī saqar
about the guilty
