Abu Mas’ud al-Jurayri related to him that a man asked al-Hasan about reading, “In the Name of Allah, the All-Merciful, Most Merciful.” He said, “That should be put at the beginning of letters.”

Chain Data Audit In Progress
Narrator-chain data on this hadith is being actively audited against canonical sources (sunnah.com, dorar.net). Some chains in our database may differ from the canonical isnad pending review. Treat the family tree below as a working analysis, not a definitive scholarly source.
About these grades Grades shown above reflect specific scholars' assessments of the chain of transmission (isnad). They do not judge the Prophet's words. In Sunni tradition, all Companions of the Prophet are held to be upright (al-Sahaba kulluhum 'udul); any weakness in a chain originates with a later transmitter or a break in the chain, not with the Companion.
