Bulugh al-Maram:The Book of Prayer:Hadith 242

وَلِلْبَيْهَقِيِّ نَحْوُهُ : عَنْ عَلِيٍّ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ 1‏ .‏‏1 ‏- صحيح موقوفا .‏ رواه البيهقي (2/19)‏ ولفظه : "المؤذن أملك بالأذان ، والإمام أملك بالإقامة ".‏

al-Baihaqi has reported a similar narration from the saying of ‘Ali (RA).
