وعن أبي موسى الأشعري رضي الله عنه قال: سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رجلا يُثني على رجل ويُطريه في المدحة، فقال: "أهلكتم، أو قطعتم ظهر الرجل" ((متفق عليه)). (23).
The Prophet (ﷺ) heard a person lauding another person or praising him too much. Thereupon he said, “You killed the man,” or he said, “You ruined the man.”.
