The Book of Miscellany — Hadith #1483
وعنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " شر الطعام طعام الوليمة، يمنعها من يأتيها، ويدعى إليها من يأباها، ومن لم يجب الدعوة فقد عصى الله ورسوله" ((رواه مسلم)).
وفي رواية في " الصحيحين" عن أبي هريرة من قوله: " بئس الطعام طعام الوليمة يدعى إليها الأغنياء ويترك الفقراء"((متفق عليه)).
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The worst food is the food of the marriage banquet from which those are left out who would like to come; and to which those are invited who refuse to come. He who rejects an invitation disobeys Allah and His Messenger”..
