حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، سَمِعَ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ الشَّنَئِيَّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لاَ يُغْنِي عَنْهُ زَرْعًا وَلاَ ضَرْعًا، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ ". فَقَالَ السَّائِبُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ إِيْ وَرَبِّ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةِ.
That he heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying, “If somebody keeps a dog that is neither used for farm work nor for guarding the livestock, he will lose one Qirat (of the reward) of his good deeds everyday.”
