وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ صُعَيْرٍ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ مَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ.
Mu'allaq (suspended chain): the early portion of the chain is intentionally omitted in the original text.
Narrated `Abdullah bin Tha`laba bin Su`air whose face was rubbed by the Prophet during the year of the Conquest (of Makkah).
