وَحَدَّثَنِي بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ - عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ رُمِيَ أُبَىٌّ يَوْمَ الأَحْزَابِ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ فَكَوَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏

Jabir b. ‘Abdillah reported that on the day of Ahzab Ubayy received the wound of an arrow in his medial arm vein. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) cauterised it.
