وَشَرَوۡهُ بِثَمَنِۭ بَخۡسࣲ دَرَ ٰهِمَ مَعۡدُودَةࣲ وَكَانُوا۟ فِیهِ مِنَ ٱلزَّ ٰهِدِینَ ٢٠
washarawhu bithamanin bakhsin darāhima maʿdūdatin wakānū fīhi mina l-zāhidīn
and then sold him for a small price, for a few pieces of silver: so little did they value him
And they sold him for a low price, for a few dirham (silver coins). And they were of those not concerned about him.
And they sold him for a mean price: a few dirhams numbered and they were in regard to him of the indifferent
And they sold him as worthless for a few paltry dirham
(Then in Egypt) they sold him for a small price, a few dirhams, to get rid of him.
