1 Divine Favours

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَاعِلِ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ رُسُلًا أُو۟لِیۤ أَجۡنِحَةࣲ مَّثۡنَىٰ وَثُلَـٰثَ وَرُبَـٰعَۚ یَزِیدُ فِی ٱلۡخَلۡقِ مَا یَشَاۤءُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ ۝١

Hamd belongs to Allah, the Fatir (who creates everything programmed according to its purpose) of the heavens and the earth, who discloses the angels (conscious forces driving specific functions) as Rasuls with two, three, four functions! He adds to His creation whatever He wills... Indeed, Allah is Qadir over all things.

al-ḥamdu lillahi fāṭiri l-samāwāti wal-arḍi jāʿili l-malāikati rusulan ulī ajniḥatin mathnā wathulātha warubāʿa yazīdu fī l-khalqi mā yashāu inna l-laha ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru

مَّا یَفۡتَحِ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحۡمَةࣲ فَلَا مُمۡسِكَ لَهَاۖ وَمَا یُمۡسِكۡ فَلَا مُرۡسِلَ لَهُۥ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ۝٢

If Allah wills to bestow grace upon people, no one can withhold it! And if He withholds it, none can disclose it thereafter! HU is the Aziz, the Hakim.

mā yaftaḥi l-lahu lilnnāsi min raḥmatin falā mum'sika lahā wamā yum'sik falā mur'sila lahu min baʿdihi wahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذۡكُرُوا۟ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡكُمۡۚ هَلۡ مِنۡ خَـٰلِقٍ غَیۡرُ ٱللَّهِ یَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ ۝٣

O people... Consider the blessing of Allah upon you! Is there, besides Allah, a creator who creates for you sustenance from the heaven (the data in your brain) and the body (the brain – body)? There is no deity-god, only HU! How you deviate (from the Truth)!

yāayyuhā l-nāsu udh'kurū niʿ'mata l-lahi ʿalaykum hal min khāliqin ghayru l-lahi yarzuqukum mina l-samāi wal-arḍi lā ilāha illā huwa fa-annā tu'fakūn

وَإِن یُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدۡ كُذِّبَتۡ رُسُلࣱ مِّن قَبۡلِكَۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ۝٤

If they deny you, (know that) they denied all the Rasuls before you too! The judgment regarding what transpires belongs to Allah.

wa-in yukadhibūka faqad kudhibat rusulun min qablika wa-ilā l-lahi tur'jaʿu l-umūr

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقࣱّۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَلَا یَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ۝٥

O people! Indeed, the promise of Allah is true! Let not the life of the world (the bodily life) deceive you... And let not the great deceiver (your mind) make you arrogant towards Allah!

yāayyuhā l-nāsu inna waʿda l-lahi ḥaqqun falā taghurrannakumu l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā walā yaghurrannakum bil-lahi l-gharūr

إِنَّ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنَ لَكُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّاۚ إِنَّمَا یَدۡعُوا۟ حِزۡبَهُۥ لِیَكُونُوا۟ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلسَّعِیرِ ۝٦

Indeed, the devil (the conception formed in the brain via the impulses sent by the organs in the body that your existence in confined to the body) is an enemy to you (taking you away from Allah, your essential reality)! So, take him as your enemy! It (the belief that you are only the body) invites its followers to become companions of a blazing fire!

inna l-shayṭāna lakum ʿaduwwun fa-ittakhidhūhu ʿaduwwan innamā yadʿū ḥiz'bahu liyakūnū min aṣḥābi l-saʿīr

ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱۖ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَأَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرٌ ۝٧

There is severe suffering for those who deny the knowledge of the reality. As for those who believe and fulfill the requisites of their faith, there is forgiveness and a great reward for them.

alladhīna kafarū lahum ʿadhābun shadīdun wa-alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti lahum maghfiratun wa-ajrun kabīru

2 Truth will prevail

أَفَمَن زُیِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوۤءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَرَءَاهُ حَسَنࣰاۖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُضِلُّ مَن یَشَاۤءُ وَیَهۡدِی مَن یَشَاۤءُۖ فَلَا تَذۡهَبۡ نَفۡسُكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ حَسَرَ ٰتٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمُۢ بِمَا یَصۡنَعُونَ ۝٨

(How can) the one whose bad deeds are made to seem attractive, so he thinks he is good (be equal to those who are truly good?)! Indeed, Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills... So, do not despair over those who are in loss! Indeed, Allah is Aleem of what they do (as their Creator).

afaman zuyyina lahu sūu ʿamalihi faraāhu ḥasanan fa-inna l-laha yuḍillu man yashāu wayahdī man yashāu falā tadhhab nafsuka ʿalayhim ḥasarātin inna l-laha ʿalīmun bimā yaṣnaʿūn

وَٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَرۡسَلَ ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ فَتُثِیرُ سَحَابࣰا فَسُقۡنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدࣲ مَّیِّتࣲ فَأَحۡیَیۡنَا بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ ۝٩

It is Allah who disclosed the winds (rahmani knowledge) and thus drives the clouds (the black clouds formed in one’s mind as a result of emotions and conditionings)... Then We drove them (the rahmani knowledge) to a dead land (consciousness) and gave life to the earth (the body) while it was dead! Thus is the resurrection (the return to the essence)!

wal-lahu alladhī arsala l-riyāḥa fatuthīru saḥāban fasuq'nāhu ilā baladin mayyitin fa-aḥyaynā bihi l-arḍa baʿda mawtihā kadhālika l-nushūr

مَن كَانَ یُرِیدُ ٱلۡعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ جَمِیعًاۚ إِلَیۡهِ یَصۡعَدُ ٱلۡكَلِمُ ٱلطَّیِّبُ وَٱلۡعَمَلُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُ یَرۡفَعُهُۥۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ یَمۡكُرُونَ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱۖ وَمَكۡرُ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُوَ یَبُورُ ۝١٠

Whoever desires honor (let him know first that) honor belongs entirely to Allah (one who thinks of himself as a separate being cannot have honor due to the duality he is in)! Creations, good and pure, reach Him, and are raised by fulfilling the requisites of faith (the word ‘raise’ here refers to the fulfilling of the deeds that are the requisites of one’s faith in his essential reality as they save one from the ego and enable one to reach Allah). But those who scheme bad things, for them there is a severe suffering... And their schemes will amount to nothing!

man kāna yurīdu l-ʿizata falillahi l-ʿizatu jamīʿan ilayhi yaṣʿadu l-kalimu l-ṭayibu wal-ʿamalu l-ṣāliḥu yarfaʿuhu wa-alladhīna yamkurūna l-sayiāti lahum ʿadhābun shadīdun wamakru ulāika huwa yabūr

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابࣲ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطۡفَةࣲ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰاۚ وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلۡمِهِۦۚ وَمَا یُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرࣲ وَلَا یُنقَصُ مِنۡ عُمُرِهِۦۤ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبٍۚ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ یَسِیرࣱ ۝١١

Allah created you from dust, then from a fertilized cell, then formed you as pairs (double helix DNA). No female (producer) can either become pregnant (produce) or give birth (form a new creation) outside His knowledge (what is recorded in the genetic helix)... The life span of each living being is indeed recorded in a book (the creational genetic codes)! This is certainly easy for Allah.

wal-lahu khalaqakum min turābin thumma min nuṭ'fatin thumma jaʿalakum azwājan wamā taḥmilu min unthā walā taḍaʿu illā biʿil'mihi wamā yuʿammaru min muʿammarin walā yunqaṣu min ʿumurihi illā fī kitābin inna dhālika ʿalā l-lahi yasīru

وَمَا یَسۡتَوِی ٱلۡبَحۡرَانِ هَـٰذَا عَذۡبࣱ فُرَاتࣱ سَاۤىِٕغࣱ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَـٰذَا مِلۡحٌ أُجَاجࣱۖ وَمِن كُلࣲّ تَأۡكُلُونَ لَحۡمࣰا طَرِیࣰّا وَتَسۡتَخۡرِجُونَ حِلۡیَةࣰ تَلۡبَسُونَهَاۖ وَتَرَى ٱلۡفُلۡكَ فِیهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبۡتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝١٢

Not equal are the two seas! One is sweet and quenches thirst, pleasing and easy to drink... The other is salty and bitter... From each one you eat fresh meat and extract ornaments to wear... And you see ships sailing through them, so that you seek of His bounty and are grateful.

wamā yastawī l-baḥrāni hādhā ʿadhbun furātun sāighun sharābuhu wahādhā mil'ḥun ujājun wamin kullin takulūna laḥman ṭariyyan watastakhrijūna ḥil'yatan talbasūnahā watarā l-ful'ka fīhi mawākhira litabtaghū min faḍlihi walaʿallakum tashkurūn

یُولِجُ ٱلَّیۡلَ فِی ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلࣱّ یَجۡرِی لِأَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّىۚ ذَ ٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا یَمۡلِكُونَ مِن قِطۡمِیرٍ ۝١٣

He transforms the night into the day, and the day into the night... He has given functions to the Sun and the Moon... Each one runs its course for a specified time... Thus is Allah, your Rabb! Sovereignty is for Him (for the manifestation and observation of His Names)! Those to whom you turn besides Him (assuming they exist) do not have sovereignty over the membrane of a date seed.

yūliju al-layla fī l-nahāri wayūliju l-nahāra fī al-layli wasakhara l-shamsa wal-qamara kullun yajrī li-ajalin musamman dhālikumu l-lahu rabbukum lahu l-mul'ku wa-alladhīna tadʿūna min dūnihi mā yamlikūna min qiṭ'mīri

إِن تَدۡعُوهُمۡ لَا یَسۡمَعُوا۟ دُعَاۤءَكُمۡ وَلَوۡ سَمِعُوا۟ مَا ٱسۡتَجَابُوا۟ لَكُمۡۖ وَیَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ یَكۡفُرُونَ بِشِرۡكِكُمۡۚ وَلَا یُنَبِّئُكَ مِثۡلُ خَبِیرࣲ ۝١٤

If you call out to them, they will not hear your call! And if they do, they cannot respond to you! (Furthermore) they will deny your deification of them during Doomsday... None can inform you like the One who is Habir.

in tadʿūhum lā yasmaʿū duʿāakum walaw samiʿū mā is'tajābū lakum wayawma l-qiyāmati yakfurūna bishir'kikum walā yunabbi-uka mith'lu khabīri

3 A New Generation will be raised

۞ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ أَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَاۤءُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ٱلۡحَمِیدُ ۝١٥

O people! You are in (absolute) need of Allah (for you exist with His Names)! But Allah is the Ghani, the Hamid.

yāayyuhā l-nāsu antumu l-fuqarāu ilā l-lahi wal-lahu huwa l-ghaniyu l-ḥamīd

إِن یَشَأۡ یُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ وَیَأۡتِ بِخَلۡقࣲ جَدِیدࣲ ۝١٦

If He wills he can do away with you and manifest a completely new creation (of His Names)!

in yasha yudh'hib'kum wayati bikhalqin jadīdi

وَمَا ذَ ٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِیزࣲ ۝١٧

This is not (a problem) for Allah, who is the Aziz (the possessor of irresistible force)!

wamā dhālika ʿalā l-lahi biʿazīzi

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةࣱ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ وَإِن تَدۡعُ مُثۡقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمۡلِهَا لَا یُحۡمَلۡ مِنۡهُ شَیۡءࣱ وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰۤۗ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِینَ یَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ وَمَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَإِنَّمَا یَتَزَكَّىٰ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ ۝١٨

No bearer of guilt can bear the burden of another... And if one whose burden is heavy, calls out for his burden to be carried, nothing of it will be carried... Even if it is a relative! You can only warn those who are in awe of their Rabb, their unknown, and who establish salat... Whoever purifies and cleanses himself only purifies for the benefit of his own self. The return is to Allah.

walā taziru wāziratun wiz'ra ukh'rā wa-in tadʿu muth'qalatun ilā ḥim'lihā lā yuḥ'mal min'hu shayon walaw kāna dhā qur'bā innamā tundhiru alladhīna yakhshawna rabbahum bil-ghaybi wa-aqāmū l-ṣalata waman tazakkā fa-innamā yatazakkā linafsihi wa-ilā l-lahi l-maṣīr

وَمَا یَسۡتَوِی ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡبَصِیرُ ۝١٩

Not equal are the blind and the seeing.

wamā yastawī l-aʿmā wal-baṣīr

وَلَا ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتُ وَلَا ٱلنُّورُ ۝٢٠

Nor are the darknesses (ignorance) and Nur (knowledge)!

walā l-ẓulumātu walā l-nūr

وَلَا ٱلظِّلُّ وَلَا ٱلۡحَرُورُ ۝٢١

Nor are the shade (consciousness; the forces of the Names) and the heat (the bodies)!

walā l-ẓilu walā l-ḥarūr

وَمَا یَسۡتَوِی ٱلۡأَحۡیَاۤءُ وَلَا ٱلۡأَمۡوَ ٰتُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُسۡمِعُ مَن یَشَاۤءُۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ بِمُسۡمِعࣲ مَّن فِی ٱلۡقُبُورِ ۝٢٢

And not equal are the living (through the knowledge of the reality) and the dead (those who think they will become inexistent with death)! Indeed, Allah will enable whom He wills to hear... But you do not have the function to make hear those who are in their graves (cocoons – those who are living in the world projected by their brain)!

wamā yastawī l-aḥyāu walā l-amwātu inna l-laha yus'miʿu man yashāu wamā anta bimus'miʿin man fī l-qubūr

إِنۡ أَنتَ إِلَّا نَذِیرٌ ۝٢٣

You are certainly only a warner!

in anta illā nadhīru

إِنَّاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ بَشِیرࣰا وَنَذِیرࣰاۚ وَإِن مِّنۡ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خَلَا فِیهَا نَذِیرࣱ ۝٢٤

Indeed, We have disclosed you as the Truth, as a giver of good news and as a warner! There is no community to whom a warner has not come.

innā arsalnāka bil-ḥaqi bashīran wanadhīran wa-in min ummatin illā khalā fīhā nadhīru

وَإِن یُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَبِٱلزُّبُرِ وَبِٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ ٱلۡمُنِیرِ ۝٢٥

If they deny you, (then know that) those before them also denied. Their Rasuls came to them as clear proofs and wisdom and enlightening information.

wa-in yukadhibūka faqad kadhaba alladhīna min qablihim jāathum rusuluhum bil-bayināti wabil-zuburi wabil-kitābi l-munīr

ثُمَّ أَخَذۡتُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۖ فَكَیۡفَ كَانَ نَكِیرِ ۝٢٦

Then I seized those who denied the knowledge of the reality... And how was My reproach (for denying Me)!

thumma akhadhtu alladhīna kafarū fakayfa kāna nakīr

4 The Elect

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَ ٰتࣲ مُّخۡتَلِفًا أَلۡوَ ٰنُهَاۚ وَمِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ جُدَدُۢ بِیضࣱ وَحُمۡرࣱ مُّخۡتَلِفٌ أَلۡوَ ٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِیبُ سُودࣱ ۝٢٧

Did you not see how Allah disclosed water (knowledge) from the sky... With it We produced fruits of various colors (various thoughts)... And in the mountains (beings with egos) tracts of white, red of various shades and black (various lifestyles and life paths).

alam tara anna l-laha anzala mina l-samāi māan fa-akhrajnā bihi thamarātin mukh'talifan alwānuhā wamina l-jibāli judadun bīḍun waḥum'run mukh'talifun alwānuhā wagharābību sūdu

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلدَّوَاۤبِّ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ مُخۡتَلِفٌ أَلۡوَ ٰنُهُۥ كَذَ ٰلِكَۗ إِنَّمَا یَخۡشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡعُلَمَـٰۤؤُا۟ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِیزٌ غَفُورٌ ۝٢٨

And there are also those with various colors among the creatures (different bodies – races) and cattle (animalistic properties)! Among His servants, only those who have knowledge (of what is denoted by the name Allah and who are aware of its Might) are truly in awe of Allah (realize their nothingness in respect of His magnificence)! Indeed, Allah is the Aziz, the Ghafur.

wamina l-nāsi wal-dawābi wal-anʿāmi mukh'talifun alwānuhu kadhālika innamā yakhshā l-laha min ʿibādihi l-ʿulamāu inna l-laha ʿazīzun ghafūru

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَتۡلُونَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِرࣰّا وَعَلَانِیَةࣰ یَرۡجُونَ تِجَـٰرَةࣰ لَّن تَبُورَ ۝٢٩

Indeed, those who ‘read’ Allah’s Book, establish salat and who give unrequitedly, both secretly and openly, in the way of Allah from the sustenance with which We nourish them, can be sure they have made an investment that will never incur a loss!

inna alladhīna yatlūna kitāba l-lahi wa-aqāmū l-ṣalata wa-anfaqū mimmā razaqnāhum sirran waʿalāniyatan yarjūna tijāratan lan tabūr

لِیُوَفِّیَهُمۡ أُجُورَهُمۡ وَیَزِیدَهُم مِّن فَضۡلِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ غَفُورࣱ شَكُورࣱ ۝٣٠

He gives to them what they deserve in full and increases it from His bounty... Indeed, He is the Ghafur, the Shakur.

liyuwaffiyahum ujūrahum wayazīdahum min faḍlihi innahu ghafūrun shakūru

وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مُصَدِّقࣰا لِّمَا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡهِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ لَخَبِیرُۢ بَصِیرࣱ ۝٣١

That which We have revealed to you from the knowledge (Book) of the reality and sunnatullah is the very Truth that confirms what came before it! Indeed, Allah, as the presence with His Names in His servants, is the Habir and the Basir.

wa-alladhī awḥaynā ilayka mina l-kitābi huwa l-ḥaqu muṣaddiqan limā bayna yadayhi inna l-laha biʿibādihi lakhabīrun baṣīru

ثُمَّ أَوۡرَثۡنَا ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱصۡطَفَیۡنَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَاۖ فَمِنۡهُمۡ ظَالِمࣱ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ وَمِنۡهُم مُّقۡتَصِدࣱ وَمِنۡهُمۡ سَابِقُۢ بِٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡكَبِیرُ ۝٣٢

Then We made the servants whom We chose inherit the knowledge of the reality and sunnatullah! Some of them wrong themselves (their lifestyles do not do justice to this knowledge) and some who are moderate (are in tune with their essence some times and fall into corporeality at other times) and some who, with the permission of Allah (B-iznillah; the permissibility of the Names manifesting from his essence), advance with the good they do – their lifestyles... This is surely a great bounty, supremacy!

thumma awrathnā l-kitāba alladhīna iṣ'ṭafaynā min ʿibādinā famin'hum ẓālimun linafsihi wamin'hum muq'taṣidun wamin'hum sābiqun bil-khayrāti bi-idh'ni l-lahi dhālika huwa l-faḍlu l-kabīr

جَنَّـٰتُ عَدۡنࣲ یَدۡخُلُونَهَا یُحَلَّوۡنَ فِیهَا مِنۡ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبࣲ وَلُؤۡلُؤࣰاۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمۡ فِیهَا حَرِیرࣱ ۝٣٣

They will enter Paradises of Eden (a life established upon the forces of the Names)... There they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls... There their garments will be silk.

jannātu ʿadnin yadkhulūnahā yuḥallawna fīhā min asāwira min dhahabin walu'lu-an walibāsuhum fīhā ḥarīru

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَذۡهَبَ عَنَّا ٱلۡحَزَنَۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورࣱ شَكُورٌ ۝٣٤

(Those who enter the life of the Paradise of Eden) say, “Hamd belongs to Allah (the possessor of all forces) who has removed from us all sorrow... Indeed, our Rabb is the Ghafur, the Shakur.”

waqālū l-ḥamdu lillahi alladhī adhhaba ʿannā l-ḥazana inna rabbanā laghafūrun shakūru

ٱلَّذِیۤ أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ ٱلۡمُقَامَةِ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ لَا یَمَسُّنَا فِیهَا نَصَبࣱ وَلَا یَمَسُّنَا فِیهَا لُغُوبࣱ ۝٣٥

He who, from His bounty, has settled us in an everlasting abode (a body/form by which we are enabled to experience the life of Paradise)... In it neither fatigue nor weariness can touch us.

alladhī aḥallanā dāra l-muqāmati min faḍlihi lā yamassunā fīhā naṣabun walā yamassunā fīhā lughūbu

وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمۡ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا یُقۡضَىٰ عَلَیۡهِمۡ فَیَمُوتُوا۟ وَلَا یُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابِهَاۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی كُلَّ كَفُورࣲ ۝٣٦

As for those who deny the knowledge of the reality, there is a hellish burning for them... Death will not be decreed for them, so they cannot die nor will their suffering be lightened... This is how We recompense everyone who is ungrateful (of the knowledge of the reality).

wa-alladhīna kafarū lahum nāru jahannama lā yuq'ḍā ʿalayhim fayamūtū walā yukhaffafu ʿanhum min ʿadhābihā kadhālika najzī kulla kafūri

وَهُمۡ یَصۡطَرِخُونَ فِیهَا رَبَّنَاۤ أَخۡرِجۡنَا نَعۡمَلۡ صَـٰلِحًا غَیۡرَ ٱلَّذِی كُنَّا نَعۡمَلُۚ أَوَ لَمۡ نُعَمِّرۡكُم مَّا یَتَذَكَّرُ فِیهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجَاۤءَكُمُ ٱلنَّذِیرُۖ فَذُوقُوا۟ فَمَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِینَ مِن نَّصِیرٍ ۝٣٧

They will cry therein, “Our Rabb! Take us out (from our conditionings) so we may do what is necessary, rather than what we were doing”... (They will be answered), “Did We not allow you live enough for those with the capacity to contemplate therein to contemplate? And a warner came to you! So taste (what you have prepared for yourself)! There are no helpers for the wrongdoers.”

wahum yaṣṭarikhūna fīhā rabbanā akhrij'nā naʿmal ṣāliḥan ghayra alladhī kunnā naʿmalu awalam nuʿammir'kum mā yatadhakkaru fīhi man tadhakkara wajāakumu l-nadhīru fadhūqū famā lilẓẓālimīna min naṣīri

5 Punishment due to evil deeds

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَـٰلِمُ غَیۡبِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ۝٣٨

Indeed, Allah knows the unknown of the heavens (the capacity of the brain founded on the reality of the Names) and the earth (what is contained within the brain)... Indeed, He, as the Absolute Essence of what is within your breasts (your depths), is Aleem (of the reality).

inna l-laha ʿālimu ghaybi l-samāwāti wal-arḍi innahu ʿalīmun bidhāti l-ṣudūr

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَكُمۡ خَلَـٰۤىِٕفَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَیۡهِ كُفۡرُهُۥۖ وَلَا یَزِیدُ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ كُفۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَّا مَقۡتࣰاۖ وَلَا یَزِیدُ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ كُفۡرُهُمۡ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰا ۝٣٩

It is HU who has made you vicegerents upon the earth (the caliphate attribute is ‘established’ not ‘created’. This fine distinction should be pondered upon with care!)... Whoever is ungrateful (whoever denies his vicegerency for the sake of individual values and bodily pleasures) denies (the reality) against himself! And the denial of those who deny the knowledge of the reality increases them only hatred in the sight of their Rabb!

huwa alladhī jaʿalakum khalāifa fī l-arḍi faman kafara faʿalayhi kuf'ruhu walā yazīdu l-kāfirīna kuf'ruhum ʿinda rabbihim illā maqtan walā yazīdu l-kāfirīna kuf'ruhum illā khasāra

قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ شُرَكَاۤءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِی مَاذَا خَلَقُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شِرۡكࣱ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ أَمۡ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ كِتَـٰبࣰا فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَتࣲ مِّنۡهُۚ بَلۡ إِن یَعِدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ بَعۡضُهُم بَعۡضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا ۝٤٠

Say, “Did you see your alleged partners – friends whom you worshipped besides Allah? Show me, what did they create on earth (what did they administer in your body)?”... Or do they have a share in the heavens (did they form a new understanding of knowing the self in your consciousness while you thought you were your body)? Or did We give them the knowledge of the reality (the Book) on which they are standing as evidence? On the contrary, the wrongdoers do not promise each other anything but delusion.

qul ara-aytum shurakāakumu alladhīna tadʿūna min dūni l-lahi arūnī mādhā khalaqū mina l-arḍi am lahum shir'kun fī l-samāwāti am ātaynāhum kitāban fahum ʿalā bayyinatin min'hu bal in yaʿidu l-ẓālimūna baʿḍuhum baʿḍan illā ghurūra

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُمۡسِكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ أَن تَزُولَاۚ وَلَىِٕن زَالَتَاۤ إِنۡ أَمۡسَكَهُمَا مِنۡ أَحَدࣲ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِیمًا غَفُورࣰا ۝٤١

Indeed, Allah is holding the heavens and the earth lest they cease their functions! For if they were to cease their functions none can hold them (in place) other than Him... Indeed, He is the Halim, the Ghafur.

inna l-laha yum'siku l-samāwāti wal-arḍa an tazūlā wala-in zālatā in amsakahumā min aḥadin min baʿdihi innahu kāna ḥalīman ghafūra

وَأَقۡسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهۡدَ أَیۡمَـٰنِهِمۡ لَىِٕن جَاۤءَهُمۡ نَذِیرࣱ لَّیَكُونُنَّ أَهۡدَىٰ مِنۡ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡأُمَمِۖ فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمۡ نَذِیرࣱ مَّا زَادَهُمۡ إِلَّا نُفُورًا ۝٤٢

They swore in the name of Allah (saying Billahi) with all their strength that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than (any) of the previous people... But when a warner came to them, (this) increased nothing in them except for hatred!

wa-aqsamū bil-lahi jahda aymānihim la-in jāahum nadhīrun layakūnunna ahdā min iḥ'dā l-umami falammā jāahum nadhīrun mā zādahum illā nufūra

ٱسۡتِكۡبَارࣰا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَكۡرَ ٱلسَّیِّىِٕۚ وَلَا یَحِیقُ ٱلۡمَكۡرُ ٱلسَّیِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهۡلِهِۦۚ فَهَلۡ یَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَۚ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَبۡدِیلࣰاۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَحۡوِیلًا ۝٤٣

(They turned away) in arrogance (egotistically), scheming evil... But the scheme of evil encompasses only those who scheme it! Are they awaiting one who follows a way other than the sunnah (the system and order of Allah) that the previous people followed? You will never encounter an alternative for sunnatullah. You will never find an alteration in the sunnatullah!

is'tik'bāran fī l-arḍi wamakra l-sayi-i walā yaḥīqu l-makru l-sayi-u illā bi-ahlihi fahal yanẓurūna illā sunnata l-awalīna falan tajida lisunnati l-lahi tabdīlan walan tajida lisunnati l-lahi taḥwīla

أَوَ لَمۡ یَسِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَیَنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَكَانُوۤا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةࣰۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِیُعۡجِزَهُۥ مِن شَیۡءࣲ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَلَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِیمࣰا قَدِیرࣰا ۝٤٤

Did they not travel the earth and see with insight the end met by those before them? They (the previous people) were mightier than they... Nothing in the heavens or the earth can render Allah ineffective! Indeed, Allah is the Aleem, the Qadir.

awalam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fayanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu alladhīna min qablihim wakānū ashadda min'hum quwwatan wamā kāna l-lahu liyuʿ'jizahu min shayin fī l-samāwāti walā fī l-arḍi innahu kāna ʿalīman qadīra

وَلَوۡ یُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهۡرِهَا مِن دَاۤبَّةࣲ وَلَـٰكِن یُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّىۖ فَإِذَا جَاۤءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ بَصِیرَۢا ۝٤٥

Had Allah willed to subject people to the consequences of their actions immediately, there would be no creature (human body) left (alive) on earth! But He provides respite until the end of the specified term (for their bodily life). When their death comes (their affairs in the world will end)! Indeed, Allah, with His Names, is Basir within the very existence of His servants.

walaw yuākhidhu l-lahu l-nāsa bimā kasabū mā taraka ʿalā ẓahrihā min dābbatin walākin yu-akhiruhum ilā ajalin musamman fa-idhā jāa ajaluhum fa-inna l-laha kāna biʿibādihi baṣīra
