مَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّىۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَمَّاۤ أُنذِرُوا۟ مُعۡرِضُونَ ۝٣

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

We did not create the heavens and the earth but with true purpose and for a specified term. But those who disbelieve are averse to what they are warned of

mā khalaqnā l-samāwāti wal-arḍa wamā baynahumā illā bil-ḥaqi wa-ajalin musamman wa-alladhīna kafarū ʿammā undhirū muʿ'riḍūn

46:4

قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِی مَاذَا خَلَقُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شِرۡكࣱ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِۖ ٱئۡتُونِی بِكِتَـٰبࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِ هَـٰذَاۤ أَوۡ أَثَـٰرَةࣲ مِّنۡ عِلۡمٍ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٤

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Say, .Tell me about those whom you invoke instead of Allah, (and) show me what they have created from the earth; Or have they a share in (the creation of) the heavens? Bring to me a book (revealed) before this one, or a trace of knowledge, if you are truthful

qul ara-aytum mā tadʿūna min dūni l-lahi arūnī mādhā khalaqū mina l-arḍi am lahum shir'kun fī l-samāwāti i'tūnī bikitābin min qabli hādhā aw athāratin min ʿil'min in kuntum ṣādiqīn

46:5

وَمَنۡ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن یَدۡعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَن لَّا یَسۡتَجِیبُ لَهُۥۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ وَهُمۡ عَن دُعَاۤىِٕهِمۡ غَـٰفِلُونَ ۝٥

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Who is more astray than him who invokes, instead of Allah, those who will not respond to him up to the Day of Judgement; and they are totally unaware of their prayers

waman aḍallu mimman yadʿū min dūni l-lahi man lā yastajību lahu ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati wahum ʿan duʿāihim ghāfilūn

46:6

وَإِذَا حُشِرَ ٱلنَّاسُ كَانُوا۟ لَهُمۡ أَعۡدَاۤءࣰ وَكَانُوا۟ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ كَـٰفِرِینَ ۝٦

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

and when people will be assembled (on the Day of Judgment), they will be enemies to them, and will refuse even their having worshipped them

wa-idhā ḥushira l-nāsu kānū lahum aʿdāan wakānū biʿibādatihim kāfirīn

46:7

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَایَـٰتُنَا بَیِّنَـٰتࣲ قَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمۡ هَـٰذَا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینٌ ۝٧

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

When Our verses are recited to them in all their clarity, the disbelievers say about the truth when it comes to them, .This is an open magic

wa-idhā tut'lā ʿalayhim āyātunā bayyinātin qāla alladhīna kafarū lil'ḥaqqi lammā jāahum hādhā siḥ'run mubīnu

46:8

أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ إِنِ ٱفۡتَرَیۡتُهُۥ فَلَا تَمۡلِكُونَ لِی مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَیۡءًاۖ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تُفِیضُونَ فِیهِۚ كَفَىٰ بِهِۦ شَهِیدَۢا بَیۡنِی وَبَیۡنَكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٨

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Is it that they say, .He has forged it (the Qur‘an).? Say, .If I have forged it, then you do not have any power to help me against Allah. He is well aware of what you are engaged in. He is enough as a witness between me and you, and He is the Most-Forgiving, the Very-Merciful

am yaqūlūna if'tarāhu qul ini if'taraytuhu falā tamlikūna lī mina l-lahi shayan huwa aʿlamu bimā tufīḍūna fīhi kafā bihi shahīdan baynī wabaynakum wahuwa l-ghafūru l-raḥīm

46:9

قُلۡ مَا كُنتُ بِدۡعࣰا مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَمَاۤ أَدۡرِی مَا یُفۡعَلُ بِی وَلَا بِكُمۡۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیَّ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٩

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Say, .I am not something unprecedented among the messengers, and I do not know what will be done to me or to you. I do not follow anything but what is revealed to me, and I am only a clear warner

qul mā kuntu bid'ʿan mina l-rusuli wamā adrī mā yuf'ʿalu bī walā bikum in attabiʿu illā mā yūḥā ilayya wamā anā illā nadhīrun mubīnu

46:10

قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كَانَ مِنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَفَرۡتُم بِهِۦ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدࣱ مِّنۢ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ عَلَىٰ مِثۡلِهِۦ فَءَامَنَ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یَهۡدِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٠

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Say, .Tell me, If it (the Qur‘an) is from Allah and you reject it, and a witness from the children of Isra‘il testifies about something similar to it and comes to believe (in it), while you persist in your arrogance, (then, how unjust you are!) Surely, Allah does not give guidance to the unjust people

qul ara-aytum in kāna min ʿindi l-lahi wakafartum bihi washahida shāhidun min banī is'rāīla ʿalā mith'lihi faāmana wa-is'takbartum inna l-laha lā yahdī l-qawma l-ẓālimīn

46:11

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوۡ كَانَ خَیۡرࣰا مَّا سَبَقُونَاۤ إِلَیۡهِۚ وَإِذۡ لَمۡ یَهۡتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَیَقُولُونَ هَـٰذَاۤ إِفۡكࣱ قَدِیمࣱ ۝١١

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

The disbelievers say about the believers, .Had it (Islamic faith) been a good thing, these (weak and poor) people would not have preceded us (in proceeding) towards it. Since they did not accept guidance through it (the Qur‘an), they will say, .This is a classical lie

waqāla alladhīna kafarū lilladhīna āmanū law kāna khayran mā sabaqūnā ilayhi wa-idh lam yahtadū bihi fasayaqūlūna hādhā if'kun qadīmu

46:12

وَمِن قَبۡلِهِۦ كِتَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰۤ إِمَامࣰا وَرَحۡمَةࣰۚ وَهَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبࣱ مُّصَدِّقࣱ لِّسَانًا عَرَبِیࣰّا لِّیُنذِرَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١٢

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And before this there was the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy. And this is a Book confirming (it) in Arabic tongue, so that it may warn the wrongdoers and give good news to those who are good in their deeds

wamin qablihi kitābu mūsā imāman waraḥmatan wahādhā kitābun muṣaddiqun lisānan ʿarabiyyan liyundhira alladhīna ẓalamū wabush'rā lil'muḥ'sinīn

46:13

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَقَـٰمُوا۟ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یَحۡزَنُونَ ۝١٣

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Surely, those who say, .Our Lord is Allah. and then stay firm, they will have no fear, nor shall they grieve

inna alladhīna qālū rabbunā l-lahu thumma is'taqāmū falā khawfun ʿalayhim walā hum yaḥzanūn

46:14

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا جَزَاۤءَۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٤

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Those are the people of Paradise, who will live there for ever as a reward for what they used to do

ulāika aṣḥābu l-janati khālidīna fīhā jazāan bimā kānū yaʿmalūn

46:15

وَوَصَّیۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَ ٰلِدَیۡهِ إِحۡسَـٰنًاۖ حَمَلَتۡهُ أُمُّهُۥ كُرۡهࣰا وَوَضَعَتۡهُ كُرۡهࣰاۖ وَحَمۡلُهُۥ وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥ ثَلَـٰثُونَ شَهۡرًاۚ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَبَلَغَ أَرۡبَعِینَ سَنَةࣰ قَالَ رَبِّ أَوۡزِعۡنِیۤ أَنۡ أَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَ ٰلِدَیَّ وَأَنۡ أَعۡمَلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا تَرۡضَىٰهُ وَأَصۡلِحۡ لِی فِی ذُرِّیَّتِیۤۖ إِنِّی تُبۡتُ إِلَیۡكَ وَإِنِّی مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ ۝١٥

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And We have enjoined upon man to do good to his parents. His mother carried him with difficulty and delivered him with difficulty. And his carrying and his weaning is (in) thirty months, until when he attains his maturity and reaches forty years, he says, .My Lord, grant me that I offer gratitude for the favour You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I do righteous deeds that You like. And set righteousness, for my sake, in my progeny. Of course, I repent to you, and truly I am one of those who submit to You

wawaṣṣaynā l-insāna biwālidayhi iḥ'sānan ḥamalathu ummuhu kur'han wawaḍaʿathu kur'han waḥamluhu wafiṣāluhu thalāthūna shahran ḥattā idhā balagha ashuddahu wabalagha arbaʿīna sanatan qāla rabbi awziʿ'nī an ashkura niʿ'mataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya waʿalā wālidayya wa-an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa-aṣliḥ lī fī dhurriyyatī innī tub'tu ilayka wa-innī mina l-mus'limīn

46:16

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنۡهُمۡ أَحۡسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَنَتَجَاوَزُ عَن سَیِّءَاتِهِمۡ فِیۤ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ وَعۡدَ ٱلصِّدۡقِ ٱلَّذِی كَانُوا۟ یُوعَدُونَ ۝١٦

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Such are the people from whom We accept the best of what they did, and overlook their evil deeds, (so as they will be) among the people of Paradise according to the true promise that was made to them

ulāika alladhīna nataqabbalu ʿanhum aḥsana mā ʿamilū wanatajāwazu ʿan sayyiātihim fī aṣḥābi l-janati waʿda l-ṣid'qi alladhī kānū yūʿadūn

46:17

وَٱلَّذِی قَالَ لِوَ ٰلِدَیۡهِ أُفࣲّ لَّكُمَاۤ أَتَعِدَانِنِیۤ أَنۡ أُخۡرَجَ وَقَدۡ خَلَتِ ٱلۡقُرُونُ مِن قَبۡلِی وَهُمَا یَسۡتَغِیثَانِ ٱللَّهَ وَیۡلَكَ ءَامِنۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقࣱّ فَیَقُولُ مَا هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّاۤ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٧

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And (Contrary to this is the case of) the one who said to his parents, .Fie upon you both! Do you promise to me that I shall be brought out (from the grave), while generations have passed before me?. And they (the parents) were crying for Allah‘s help, (and saying to their son,) .Woe to you. Accept the true faith. Allah‘s promise is certainly true. Then he says, .This is nothing but the tales of the ancients

wa-alladhī qāla liwālidayhi uffin lakumā ataʿidāninī an ukh'raja waqad khalati l-qurūnu min qablī wahumā yastaghīthāni l-laha waylaka āmin inna waʿda l-lahi ḥaqqun fayaqūlu mā hādhā illā asāṭīru l-awalīn

46:18

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ حَقَّ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ فِیۤ أُمَمࣲ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِینَ ۝١٨

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Such are the people on whom the word (of punishment) has come true along with the communities of the Jinn and the humans that have passed before them. Surely they were losers

ulāika alladhīna ḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l-qawlu fī umamin qad khalat min qablihim mina l-jini wal-insi innahum kānū khāsirīn

46:19

وَلِكُلࣲّ دَرَجَـٰتࣱ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا۟ۖ وَلِیُوَفِّیَهُمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَا یُظۡلَمُونَ ۝١٩

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

For each (of these two groups) there are (different) ranks because of what they did, and so that He may repay them in full for their deeds; and they will not be wronged

walikullin darajātun mimmā ʿamilū waliyuwaffiyahum aʿmālahum wahum lā yuẓ'lamūn

46:20

وَیَوۡمَ یُعۡرَضُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ أَذۡهَبۡتُمۡ طَیِّبَـٰتِكُمۡ فِی حَیَاتِكُمُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَٱسۡتَمۡتَعۡتُم بِهَا فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ تُجۡزَوۡنَ عَذَابَ ٱلۡهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَیۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَفۡسُقُونَ ۝٢٠

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And the day the disbelievers will be presented before the Fire, (it will be said to them,) .You have consumed your good things in your worldly life, and have enjoyed them. So, you will be punished today with the torment of humiliation for the arrogance you used to show on earth with no right (to do so), and for the sins you used to commit

wayawma yuʿ'raḍu alladhīna kafarū ʿalā l-nāri adhhabtum ṭayyibātikum fī ḥayātikumu l-dun'yā wa-is'tamtaʿtum bihā fal-yawma tuj'zawna ʿadhāba l-hūni bimā kuntum tastakbirūna fī l-arḍi bighayri l-ḥaqi wabimā kuntum tafsuqūn

46:21

۞ وَٱذۡكُرۡ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذۡ أَنذَرَ قَوۡمَهُۥ بِٱلۡأَحۡقَافِ وَقَدۡ خَلَتِ ٱلنُّذُرُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِ یَدَیۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦۤ أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝٢١

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And recall the brother of (the nation of) ‘Ad, when he warned his people at the long, curved sand dunes__ while many warners have passed before him and after him (with the same message)__saying, .Do not worship anyone except Allah. Surely I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day

wa-udh'kur akhā ʿādin idh andhara qawmahu bil-aḥqāfi waqad khalati l-nudhuru min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi allā taʿbudū illā l-laha innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi

46:22

قَالُوۤا۟ أَجِئۡتَنَا لِتَأۡفِكَنَا عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِنَا فَأۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَاۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝٢٢

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

They said, .Have you come to make us deviate from our gods? So bring us that with which you are threatening us, if you are truthful

qālū aji'tanā litafikanā ʿan ālihatinā fatinā bimā taʿidunā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn

46:23

قَالَ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡعِلۡمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَأُبَلِّغُكُم مَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهِۦ وَلَـٰكِنِّیۤ أَرَىٰكُمۡ قَوۡمࣰا تَجۡهَلُونَ ۝٢٣

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

He said, .The knowledge is with Allah alone, and I am conveying to you what I am sent with, but I see you are a people who act ignorantly

qāla innamā l-ʿil'mu ʿinda l-lahi wa-uballighukum mā ur'sil'tu bihi walākinnī arākum qawman tajhalūn

46:24

فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡهُ عَارِضࣰا مُّسۡتَقۡبِلَ أَوۡدِیَتِهِمۡ قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا عَارِضࣱ مُّمۡطِرُنَاۚ بَلۡ هُوَ مَا ٱسۡتَعۡجَلۡتُم بِهِۦۖ رِیحࣱ فِیهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ ۝٢٤

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

So, when they saw it as a cloud proceeding towards their valleys, they said, .This is a cloud that will bring us rain. No, it is the very thing you asked to hasten up __ a wind in which there is a painful punishment

falammā ra-awhu ʿāriḍan mus'taqbila awdiyatihim qālū hādhā ʿāriḍun mum'ṭirunā bal huwa mā is'taʿjaltum bihi rīḥun fīhā ʿadhābun alīmu

46:25

تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَیۡءِۭ بِأَمۡرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ لَا یُرَىٰۤ إِلَّا مَسَـٰكِنُهُمۡۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٢٥

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

that will destroy every thing with the command of its Lord! So they became such that nothing remained to be seen except their dwelling places. This is how We punish the guilty people

tudammiru kulla shayin bi-amri rabbihā fa-aṣbaḥū lā yurā illā masākinuhum kadhālika najzī l-qawma l-muj'rimīn

46:26

وَلَقَدۡ مَكَّنَّـٰهُمۡ فِیمَاۤ إِن مَّكَّنَّـٰكُمۡ فِیهِ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ سَمۡعࣰا وَأَبۡصَـٰرࣰا وَأَفۡءِدَةࣰ فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُمۡ سَمۡعُهُمۡ وَلَاۤ أَبۡصَـٰرُهُمۡ وَلَاۤ أَفۡءِدَتُهُم مِّن شَیۡءٍ إِذۡ كَانُوا۟ یَجۡحَدُونَ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٢٦

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And indeed We had established them in a powerful position in which We did not establish you (O people of Makkah), and had given to them ears and eyes and hearts, but neither their ears benefited them in the least, nor their eyes, nor their hearts, as they used to reject Allah‘s signs; and they were encircled by what they used to ridicule

walaqad makkannāhum fīmā in makkannākum fīhi wajaʿalnā lahum samʿan wa-abṣāran wa-afidatan famā aghnā ʿanhum samʿuhum walā abṣāruhum walā afidatuhum min shayin idh kānū yajḥadūna biāyāti l-lahi waḥāqa bihim mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

46:27

وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مَا حَوۡلَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَصَرَّفۡنَا ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٢٧

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And We have (also) destroyed (other) towns around you, while We had given to them a variety of signs, so that they might return (from disbelief)

walaqad ahlaknā mā ḥawlakum mina l-qurā waṣarrafnā l-āyāti laʿallahum yarjiʿūn

46:28

فَلَوۡلَا نَصَرَهُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قُرۡبَانًا ءَالِهَةَۢۖ بَلۡ ضَلُّوا۟ عَنۡهُمۡۚ وَذَ ٰلِكَ إِفۡكُهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡتَرُونَ ۝٢٨

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

So, why is it that they were not helped by those whom they had taken as gods beside Allah in order to attain closeness (to Him)? Instead, they vanished from them. That was, in fact, their falsity and a thing they used to fabricate

falawlā naṣarahumu alladhīna ittakhadhū min dūni l-lahi qur'bānan ālihatan bal ḍallū ʿanhum wadhālika if'kuhum wamā kānū yaftarūn

46:29

وَإِذۡ صَرَفۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَ نَفَرࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ یَسۡتَمِعُونَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوۤا۟ أَنصِتُوا۟ۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِیَ وَلَّوۡا۟ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِم مُّنذِرِینَ ۝٢٩

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

And (recall) when We directed a group of Jinns towards you, listening to the Qur‘an. So, when they attended it, they said (to each other), .Keep quiet. Then once it was over, they went back to their people as warners

wa-idh ṣarafnā ilayka nafaran mina l-jini yastamiʿūna l-qur'āna falammā ḥaḍarūhu qālū anṣitū falammā quḍiya wallaw ilā qawmihim mundhirīn

46:30

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰقَوۡمَنَاۤ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا كِتَـٰبًا أُنزِلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مُوسَىٰ مُصَدِّقࣰا لِّمَا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡهِ یَهۡدِیۤ إِلَى ٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِلَىٰ طَرِیقࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ ۝٣٠

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

They said, .O our people, we have heard a book sent down after Musa, confirming what was before it, which guides to the truth and to a straight path

qālū yāqawmanā innā samiʿ'nā kitāban unzila min baʿdi mūsā muṣaddiqan limā bayna yadayhi yahdī ilā l-ḥaqi wa-ilā ṭarīqin mus'taqīmi

46:31

یَـٰقَوۡمَنَاۤ أَجِیبُوا۟ دَاعِیَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَیُجِرۡكُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ أَلِیمࣲ ۝٣١

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

O our people, respond to Allah‘s herald, and believe in him, and (once you do that,) Allah will forgive your sins for you, and will save you from a painful punishment

yāqawmanā ajībū dāʿiya l-lahi waāminū bihi yaghfir lakum min dhunūbikum wayujir'kum min ʿadhābin alīmi

46:32

وَمَن لَّا یُجِبۡ دَاعِیَ ٱللَّهِ فَلَیۡسَ بِمُعۡجِزࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَیۡسَ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ أَوۡلِیَاۤءُۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٣٢

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

The one who does not respond to Allah‘s herald is not (able) to frustrate (Allah by escaping) in the land, and for him there are no supporters besides Him. Such people are in open error

waman lā yujib dāʿiya l-lahi falaysa bimuʿ'jizin fī l-arḍi walaysa lahu min dūnihi awliyāu ulāika fī ḍalālin mubīni

46:33

أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَلَمۡ یَعۡیَ بِخَلۡقِهِنَّ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یُحۡـِۧیَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۚ بَلَىٰۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ ۝٣٣

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

Have they not seen that Allah who has created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation, does have power to give life to the dead? Yes of course, He is powerful to do every thing

awalam yaraw anna l-laha alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa walam yaʿya bikhalqihinna biqādirin ʿalā an yuḥ'yiya l-mawtā balā innahu ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru

46:34

وَیَوۡمَ یُعۡرَضُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ أَلَیۡسَ هَـٰذَا بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَاۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ ۝٣٤

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

The day the disbelievers will be presented to the Fire, (it will be said to them,) .Is this not true?. They will say, .Yes of course, Our Lord!. He will say, .Then taste the punishment, for you used to disbelieve

wayawma yuʿ'raḍu alladhīna kafarū ʿalā l-nāri alaysa hādhā bil-ḥaqi qālū balā warabbinā qāla fadhūqū l-ʿadhāba bimā kuntum takfurūn

46:35

فَٱصۡبِرۡ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلۡعَزۡمِ مِنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِل لَّهُمۡۚ كَأَنَّهُمۡ یَوۡمَ یَرَوۡنَ مَا یُوعَدُونَ لَمۡ یَلۡبَثُوۤا۟ إِلَّا سَاعَةࣰ مِّن نَّهَارِۭۚ بَلَـٰغࣱۚ فَهَلۡ یُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٣٥

Muhammad Taqi Usmani

So, (O prophet,) observe patience, as the resolute messengers observed patience, and be not in haste about them. The Day they will see what they are promised, (it will be) as if they did not stay (in the world) more than an hour in a single day. This is a message. So, none will be destroyed except the sinners

fa-iṣ'bir kamā ṣabara ulū l-ʿazmi mina l-rusuli walā tastaʿjil lahum ka-annahum yawma yarawna mā yūʿadūna lam yalbathū illā sāʿatan min nahārin balāghun fahal yuh'laku illā l-qawmu l-fāsiqūn
