Mishkat al-Masabih:Business Transactions:Hadith 2886
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ»

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, “Life-tenancy of a house is a gift.”
