ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ شَاۤقُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥۚ وَمَن یُشَاقِقِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِیدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ۝١٣
dhālika bi-annahum shāqqū l-laha warasūlahu waman yushāqiqi l-laha warasūlahu fa-inna l-laha shadīdu l-ʿiqāb
Abdel Haleem: That was because they opposed God and His Messenger, and if anyone opposes God and His Messenger, God punishes them severely
