وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا هُودࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ غَلِیظࣲ ٥٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And when Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us; and We saved them from a harsh punishment
Abraham 14:17

He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment
Luqman, Lukman 31:24

نُمَتِّعُهُمۡ قَلِیلࣰا ثُمَّ نَضۡطَرُّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِیظࣲ ٢٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
We grant them enjoyment for a little; then We will force them to a massive punishment
وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِنَ ٱلنَّبِیِّـۧنَ مِیثَـٰقَهُمۡ وَمِنكَ وَمِن نُّوحࣲ وَإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَعِیسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡیَمَۖ وَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُم مِّیثَـٰقًا غَلِیظࣰا ٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We took from the prophets their covenant and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, the son of Mary; and We took from them a solemn covenant
فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِیظَ ٱلۡقَلۡبِ لَٱنفَضُّوا۟ مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِینَ ١٥٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
So by mercy from Allah , [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah . Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him]
