قَالُوا۟ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ مَا نَفۡقَهُ كَثِیرࣰا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِینَا ضَعِیفࣰاۖ وَلَوۡلَا رَهۡطُكَ لَرَجَمۡنَـٰكَۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡنَا بِعَزِیزࣲ ۝٩١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They said, "O Shu'ayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and indeed, we consider you among us as weak. And if not for your family, we would have stoned you [to death]; and you are not to us one respected."
Children of Israel, The Israelites 17:44 Verb
تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ ٱلسَّبۡعُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِیهِنَّۚ وَإِن مِّن شَیۡءٍ إِلَّا یُسَبِّحُ بِحَمۡدِهِۦ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَفۡقَهُونَ تَسۡبِیحَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِیمًا غَفُورࣰا ۝٤٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [ Allah ] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving

وَجَعَلۡنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ أَكِنَّةً أَن یَفۡقَهُوهُ وَفِیۤ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَقۡرࣰاۚ وَإِذَا ذَكَرۡتَ رَبَّكَ فِی ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ وَحۡدَهُۥ وَلَّوۡا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَدۡبَـٰرِهِمۡ نُفُورࣰا ۝٤٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn back in aversion
The Cave 18:57 Verb
وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ فَأَعۡرَضَ عَنۡهَا وَنَسِیَ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ یَدَاهُۚ إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ أَكِنَّةً أَن یَفۡقَهُوهُ وَفِیۤ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَقۡرࣰاۖ وَإِن تَدۡعُهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَلَن یَهۡتَدُوۤا۟ إِذًا أَبَدࣰا ۝٥٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord but turns away from them and forgets what his hands have put forth? Indeed, We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if you invite them to guidance - they will never be guided, then - ever
The Cave 18:93 Verb
حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا بَلَغَ بَیۡنَ ٱلسَّدَّیۡنِ وَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمَا قَوۡمࣰا لَّا یَكَادُونَ یَفۡقَهُونَ قَوۡلࣰا ۝٩٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Until, when he reached [a pass] between two mountains, he found beside them a people who could hardly understand [his] speech
