(O mankind) you are distracted by the mutual rivalry (of piling up of worldly gains),
The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you
THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupie
Greed (for wealth and offspring) deceived and amused you!
Fierce competition for this world distracted you
Rivalry [and vainglory] distracted yo
Competing in increase of worldly goods (seeking and then boasting of the acquisition of things, wealth, pedigree, and posterity) distracts you (from the proper purpose of life)
(Mankind! your) vying with one another to excel in multiplying worldly possessions diverts you (from God and true values of life)
Gross rivalry diverts you
Greed (and rivalry) has distracted you,
Working hard to pile up wealth distracts you from higher goals
The competition for accumulating diverts you
Vying for more distracted youpl
The contention about numbers deludes yo
The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful
Competing with one another in amassing has kept you distracted,
The emulous desire of multiplying riches and children employeth you
The rivalry in worldly increase deludes yo
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying
THE DESIRE of increasing riches occupieth you
An endeavour to excell others in acquiring (wealth and possessions of this world) has kept you involved —
Rivalry diverted you
The competition of accumulating distracts you.
O mankind, you have been distracted by the rivalry of piling up worldly gains against one another
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupie
Abundance diverts you
Rivalry in worldly increase distracts you (from the remembrance of Allah)
The craving for more [worldly wealth and power] keeps you engrosse
Your greed for massive wealth and the superiority complex has made you negligent (of the Hereafter)
Hoarding has distracted you
Hoarding has distracted you.
Hoarding has distracted you.
The multiplication distracted/diverted you
YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and mor
(Gross) multiplying diverts you
Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth yo
The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God)
You are distracted by mutual competition in amassing (worldly benefits)
the competition to increase diverts you away (from serving your Lord)
(Oh men! Your obsession to attain, hoard and show off) opulence diverts you (and keeps you busy)
The competition to increase keeps diverting you away (from serving your Lord)
Multiplicity of the good things in life between wealth, conveniences and progeny divert your attention
The competition for more and more wealth preoccupied you,
Competition for more ˹gains˺ diverts you ˹from Allah˺,
Competition for riches keeps you busy,
YOUR HEARTS are taken up with worldly gai
You remain preoccupied with hoarding
Your greed for more has distracted you
Your greed for more has distracted you
You were distracted by the reproduction.
Rivalry for wordly gain distracts you
The relentless greed of material gains distracts you (from the real purpose of life). (57:20), (83:26)
