أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
Striving for more distracts yo
(O mankind) you are distracted by the mutual rivalry (of piling up of worldly gains),
The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you
THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupie
Greed (for wealth and offspring) deceived and amused you!
Fierce competition for this world distracted you
Rivalry [and vainglory] distracted yo
Competing in increase of worldly goods (seeking and then boasting of the acquisition of things, wealth, pedigree, and posterity) distracts you (from the proper purpose of life)
(Mankind! your) vying with one another to excel in multiplying worldly possessions diverts you (from God and true values of life)
Gross rivalry diverts you
Greed (and rivalry) has distracted you,
Working hard to pile up wealth distracts you from higher goals
The competition for accumulating diverts you
Vying for more distracted youpl
The contention about numbers deludes yo
The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful
Competing with one another in amassing has kept you distracted,
The emulous desire of multiplying riches and children employeth you
The rivalry in worldly increase deludes yo
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying
THE DESIRE of increasing riches occupieth you
An endeavour to excell others in acquiring (wealth and possessions of this world) has kept you involved —
Rivalry diverted you
The competition of accumulating distracts you.
O mankind, you have been distracted by the rivalry of piling up worldly gains against one another
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupie
Abundance diverts you
Rivalry in worldly increase distracts you (from the remembrance of Allah)
The craving for more [worldly wealth and power] keeps you engrosse
Your greed for massive wealth and the superiority complex has made you negligent (of the Hereafter)
Hoarding has distracted you
Hoarding has distracted you.
Hoarding has distracted you.
The multiplication distracted/diverted you
YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and mor
(Gross) multiplying diverts you
Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth yo
The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God)
You are distracted by mutual competition in amassing (worldly benefits)
the competition to increase diverts you away (from serving your Lord)
(Oh men! Your obsession to attain, hoard and show off) opulence diverts you (and keeps you busy)
The competition to increase keeps diverting you away (from serving your Lord)
Multiplicity of the good things in life between wealth, conveniences and progeny divert your attention
The competition for more and more wealth preoccupied you,
Competition for more ˹gains˺ diverts you ˹from Allah˺,
Competition for riches keeps you busy,
YOUR HEARTS are taken up with worldly gai
You remain preoccupied with hoarding
Your greed for more has distracted you
Your greed for more has distracted you
You were distracted by the reproduction.
Rivalry for wordly gain distracts you
The relentless greed of material gains distracts you (from the real purpose of life). (57:20), (83:26)
Abundance diverts you
Mutual rivalry in seeking increase in worldly possessions diverts you from God
Vying for increase distracts you
The rivalry among yourselves for piling up diverts you (from your duties)
The quest for increase distracts you.
Abundance distracts you
Vying for more and more diverts you
Competition for worldly success distracts yo
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts yo
The competition about numbers diverted you
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things)
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things)
حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ
until you go into your graves
(never be satisfied) until you come to the graves (die).
Until ye visit the graves
Till you reach the grave
Even when you visited the graves...
until you went down to the graves.
until you visited [even] the graves
Until you come to the graves
Until (on your death) you embrace the graves
even till you visit the tombs
to a point that you visited the graves.
Until you are brought to your grave
Until you all visit the graves
until you visited the graves.
till ye visit the tombs
Until you confronted the graves
until you visited the graves.
until ye visit the graves
Till you visit the graves
until you visit the graves
Till ye come to the grave
until you visited the sites of burial (of your physical bodies or its remains)
until you stopped by the cemetery.
Until you visit the graves!
You will never be satisfied until you get into the grave
until you reach your graves
Until you come to the graves
till you come to the graves.
Until you embrace the graves
Until you go down to the graves
Until you visit the graves
Until you visit the graves.
Until you visit the graves.
Until you visited the cemeteries/burial places
until you go down to your graves
Till you visit the cemeteries
Until ye come to the graves

Until you visit the graveyards.
Right until you land in (your) graves
Until you visit the graves.
Until the graves become your house of detention
until you went down in your graves.
until you end up in ˹your˺ graves.
Until you enter your graves.
from the cradle to the grave
Until you go to the graves

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
No indeed! You will come to know
Nay! You will soon come to know!
Lo! presently ye shall know
But you will come to know soon; -
But no! Soon (with death) you will know.
No indeed, you will soon know!
No indeed! Soon you will know
No indeed! You will surely come to understand (when death comes to you)
Nay, (you should never hanker after worldly gains, power and position,) you shall come to know in time (that you have been chasing at a shadow)
No indeed; but soon you shall know
No way, you will know.
Only then your eyes will open up to truth
But no, you will soon know
But no! Youpl will come to know.
Not so! In the end ye shall know
Yes certainly, you will soon realise
Not at all! You will soon know.
By no means should ye thus employ your time: Hereafter shall ye know your folly
Nay! In the end you shall know
But no, indeed, you shall soon know
Nay! but in the end ye shall kno
By no means (it is of any benefit to you)! Soon you come to know (the consequences)
No indeed! You will know!
Indeed! You will soon know!
Nevertheless, soon you shall come to know
Nay, you will soon come to know
Nay, you will soon know
No, you will know.
Nay! You shall soon come to know
No indeed! You will soon learn (this reality that wealth and riches will avail you nothing)
No but you will/shall know
Nay, in time you will come to understand
Not at all! (But) eventually you will know
Nay, but ye will come to know
You shall know
No! (This is not a correct attitude.) You will soon know (the reality)
Nay! You are going to know.
No, surely not! You shall soon find out
No indeed! You will soon come to know (the dire consequences of your iniquitous deeds).
There and then will you come to know all that is in conformity with truth and verity
Surely, you will know;
But no! You will soon come to know.
But no, you will soon know,
No! But you shall learn
Indeed, you will find out
No, indeed you will soon know.
No, indeed you will soon know.
Nay, you will know.
Nay! But you will come to know
Nay! you shall soon know
Nay ! you will soon come to know the Truth
Nay! Soon you will know
But no, you soon shall know (the reality)
Indeed, you will soon know.
Indeed, you will know.
But you will know;
"No, but you will soon find out!"
No! You are going to know
Not so, soon you will know.
But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality)
But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality)
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
No indeed! In the end you will come to know
Again, Nay! You will soon come to know!
Again lo! presently ye shall know
Indeed you will come to know soon
Again no! Soon you will know.
Again no indeed, you will soon know!
Again, no indeed! Soon you will know
Again, no indeed! You will surely come to understand it (when you are raised from the dead)
Nay, again (We repeat, never should you misuse your life of probation,) you shall come to know (the consequences of it) in time
Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know
And once more, no way, you will know.
Only then you will know
Again, you will soon know
Once again: But no! Youpl will come to know.
And again not so! In the end ye shall know
Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise
Again not at all! You will soon know.
Again, by no means: Hereafter shall ye know your folly
And again Nay! In the end you shall know
Again, no indeed, you shall soon know
Nay! once more,in the end ye shall know your folly
Again (I repeat)! By no means (it is of any benefit to you)! Soon you come to know
Again, no indeed! You will know!
Again! Indeed! You will soon know!
Again, nevertheless, soon you shall come to know
nay, again, you shall soon come to know
Nay, again, you will soon know
Again, no, you will know.
Nay again! You shall soon come to know
Again (you are warned.) No! Never! You will soon learn about (your end)
Then again, you will find out
Then again, you will find out.
Then again, you will find out.
Then no but you will/shall know
And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand
Again (Literally: Thereafter) not at all! (But) eventually you will know
Nay, but ye will come to know
You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds)
Again, you will soon know
Then nay! You are going to know.
Again, be sure! You shall soon find out
And once more, you will soon come to know (the dire consequences of your evil deeds).
But indeed you will come to know what is in accordance with fact and reality
Eventually you will understand.
Again, no! You will soon come to know.
But no again, you will soon know,
No! You then shall surely learn
Most assuredly, you will find out
Certainly you will soon know.
Certainly you will soon know.
Then again nay, you will know.
Again, you shall certainly come to know
Again, Nay! You will come to know
Nay! Nay! you shall soon know
Nay again ! you will soon come to know
Indeed! Soon you will know
Again, you soon shall know
Surely, you will soon realize.
Certainly, you will know
indeed, on the contrary, you will know.
No! Surely you will come to know
Then no! You are going to know
Again, not so, soon you will know.
Again, ye soon shall know
Again, ye soon shall know
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ
No indeed! If only you knew for certain
Nay! If you knew with real knowledge (from Qur’an).
Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge
And yet if you knew with positive knowledg
No! If only you had established your certainty through knowledge (before death)...
No indeed, if you only knew with the Knowledge of Certainty,
No indeed! Were you to know with certain knowledge
No indeed! If only you knew with certainty of knowledge (then you would not disorder priorities)
No, never! if you only knew the consequences thereof with sure and certain knowledg
No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty
No way, if you knew the sure knowledge (then greed/rivalry would not have preoccupied you).
If you knew it before (you would not have devoted all your time to work, work and work to pile up wealth.
No, were you to know with certainty of mind
But no! If only youpl knew with the knowledge of certitude:
Not so! Did ye but know with certain knowledge
Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth
Not at all! If only you knew knowledge of the certitude.
By no means: If ye knew the consequence hereof with certainty of knowledge, ye would not act thus
Nay! Did you but know with certain knowledge
Indeed, did you know with certain knowledg
Nay! would that ye knew it with knowledge of certainty
By no means! Would that you know the Knowledge of certainty
No indeed! If you will know with the knowledge of certainty,
Indeed! If you only knew with certainty!
Nay! Would that you knew through the real knowledge provided to you in this Qur’an and care about your life in the Hereafter
Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do)
Nay, would that you knew with a certain knowledge
No, if you know (having) the knowledge that is certain,
Nay, if you but knew with certain knowledge!
Yes indeed! Would that you knew with the knowledge of certitude (the consequence of greed for wealth and riches and your negligence! Then, lost in the worldly pleasures, you would never forget the Hereafter like this)
No, if only you had the knowledge of certainty
No, if only you had the knowledge of certainty.
No, if only you had the knowledge of certainty.
No but if you know knowledge (of) the assurance/certainty
Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty
Not at all! (But) if you know with the knowledge of certitude
Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge
You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt
No! Only if you knew (it) with a sure knowledge
Nay! If only you knew with absolute certainty!
No, of course not! If you only knew with certainty
No indeed! If you were to know with absolute certainty (that you will be resurrected and judged, you would not have acted impiously)
No, but if only you knew the reality of what awaits those whose actions and dispositions do not accord with the divine standard, you would not succumb to illusions
If only you had knowledge of certainty.
Indeed, if you were to know ˹your fate˺ with certainty, ˹you would have acted differently˺.
For sure, if you had knowledge of the inevitable,
No! If you knew the Truth with certainty
If only you could find out for certain
Indeed, If you knew the knowledge of certainty
Indeed, If you knew the knowledge of certainty
Nay, if you know the certainty’ knowledge.
Indeed, were you to have certain knowledge ...
Nay, only if you could have certain knowledge
Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge
Nay ! if you only knew with certain knowledge
Nay! If you knew with the knowledge of certainty
No, if you were to certainly know within the mind (You would be aware!
Certainly, if only you knew with absolute certainty.
If you knew with knowledge of certainty
But if you knew with certain knowledge,
"No, if you only knew (the truth) now with certainty"
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty..
Not so, if you know the knowledge of the certainty.
Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!
Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!
لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ
You will most definitely see Hellfire
Surely, You will see the blazing fire (of hell),
Surely ye shall behold theScorch
You have indeed to behold Hell
Indeed, you will definitely see the Hell!
you will certainly see the Blazing Fire!
you would surely see hell
You will most surely see the Blazing Flame
You will certainly see the very hell-fire (in this present life by seeing the sad fate of the wicked)
you shall surely see Hell
You shall see the hellfire,
Yes, indeed you will see the Blazing Fire of Hell
You will certainly see hellfire
you will certainly see purgatory.
Ye shall surely see hell
Indeed you will see hell
You will surely see the hellfire.
Verily ye shall see hell
You shall surely see hell
that you shall surely see Hell
Surely ye shall see hell-fire
Indeed, you will notice the blazing Fire
you will, certainly, see hellfire.
You will certainly see Hell.
Because on the Day of Judgment when you shall see the hell
You will surely end up seeing Hell
You will certainly see hell
you will definitely see hell fire.
You shall surely see the Hell
(Consequent on your greed) you will surely see Hell
You would then see Hell
You would then see Hell.
You would then see Hell.
You would see/understand (E) the Hell
you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]
Indeed you will definitely see Hell-Fire
For ye will behold hell-fire
You will be shown hel
You will certainly see the Hell
You will definitely see the Hellfire.
You shall surely see hell
You will definitely see the Hellfire.
For you will see the Hell fire awaiting the unjust who failed to reason their own conclusions
You will certainly see Hell;
˹But˺ you will surely see the Hellfire.
You would see hell-fire,
you would witness Hell
You would envision Hell
you would see Hell,
you would see Hell,
You would see the Hellfire.
You shall certainly see the fire of Hell.
You would see it now, the Insurmountable Barrier (in the way of your personal development (29:54), (79:36), (82:16))
You should most certainly have seen the hell
You will surely see Hell in this very life
you would surely see Hellfire
You shall certainly see the Fire of Hell
You would indeed see Hell.
You would see the Inferno
you would surely see hellfire;
that you will surely see Hellfire (then you would change your ways)
You will surely see the Hellfire
Surely you will definitely see the Hellfire.
Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire
Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ
you will see it with the eye of certainty
and you will see it with certainty of sight,
Then ye shall surely beholdwith the surety of vision
Then you will see it with the eye of certainty
Indeed, you will most certainly see it (Hell) with the eye of certainty.
Then you will certainly see it with the Eye of Certainty.
Again, you will surely see it with the eye of certainty
Then (when you go to the other world), you will most surely see it with the eye of certainty
Again, you shall most certainly see it (in the Hereafter) with the eye of certainty
Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certaint
then you shall see it with the sure eye.
And then your eyes believe in what they see
Again, you will see it with certainty of sight
Then youpl will certainly see it with the eye of certitude.
And again ye shall surely see it with an eye of certainty
Again, indeed you will see it with certainty
Again you will surely see it with eye of the certitude.
Again, ye shall surely see it with the eye of certainty
And again you shall surely see it with an eye of certainty
Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty
Then shall ye surely see it with the eye of certainty
Again! You shall indeed see it with an eye of certainty
Again, you will see it with the eye of certainty.
Again! You will see it with certainty of sight.
and see it with the certainty of your own eye
again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty
Then you will see it with certainty of sight
Then you will definitely see it with the eye of certainty.
Then you shall surely see it with eye of certitude
Then you will certainly see it with the eye of certitude
Then you will see it with the eye of certainty
Then you would see it with the eye of certainty.
Then you would see it with the eye of certainty.
Then you will see/understand it (with) the assurance's/certainty's eye (visually)
In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty
(Again), (Literally: Thereafter) indeed you will definitely see it with the eye of certitude
Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision
and you will see it with your own eyes
then you will see it with full certitude
Then you will definitely see the Hellfire with the ‘Eye of Certainty’
Then, you would really see it with the eye of certainty
Then you will definitely see the Hellfire with the Eye of Certainty.
And you will see it with the eye of certainty
you will see it with the eye of certainty;
Again, you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
Then you will see it with your own eyes,
you would then witness it with the certainty of your very eyes
Then you would see it with the eye of certainty
then you would surely see it with the eye of certainty.
then you would surely see it with the eye of certainty.
Then you will see it, with the 'certainty' eye.
Yes, you will it with your eyes.
Finally, you will behold it with sure vision
Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty
Aye, you will surely see it with the eye of certainty Hereafter
Then you would surely see it with the eye of certainty
Again you shall see it with the certainty of sight
Then, you will see it with the certainty of sight.
Then you will see it with the eye of certainty
and you would see it with the eye of certainty.
"Yes indeed, you will certainly see it with clear vision."
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty
Then, surely you will definitely see it with the eye of the certainty.
Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight
Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight
ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ
On that Day, you will be asked about your pleasures
then, on that Day, you shall be questioned about the blessings (given in the world and how you used)!
Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights
Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures
Then indeed, at that time you will be asked about your blessings.
Then you will be asked that Day about the pleasures you enjoyed.
Then, that day, you will surely be questioned concerning the blessing
And on that Day you will most surely be questioned as to all the favors (bestowed on you)
And then on that day (of Reckoning) you shall be called to account for the favours (bestowed upon you)
then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss
Then, on that day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures (in life).
Then it will be time to ask you about how you devoted your life to worldly pleasures
Then, you will be questioned that day about the pleasure you indulged in
Then, on that day, youpl will certainly be asked about (worldly) bliss.
Then ye shall surely be asked about pleasure
Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours
Then you will most certainly be questioned that day about the blessing.
Then shall ye be examined, on that day, concerning the pleasures with which ye have amused yourselves in this life
Then you shall surely be asked about pleasure
On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures
Then shall ye on that day be taken to task concerning pleasures
Again! You shall be put to question that Day about the delights (and favour you enjoyed in your worldly life-span)
Again, you will, certainly, be asked on that day about the bliss.
You will then be questioned that day about pleasures.
- you shall believe it, but that belief is going to do you no good because - on that Day, you shall be questioned about the blessings (faculties and resources that you were given in the worldly life - as to how you used them?
Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed
Then on that day you shall certainly be questioned about the boons
Then on that day you will definitely be questioned about the comforts.
And then, on that Day, you shall surely be questioned about the bounties you enjoyed
Then on that Day, you will certainly be questioned about the bounties (given to you by Allah and the way you consumed them)
Then you will be questioned, on that Day, about the blessings
Then you would be questioned, on that Day, about the blessings.
Then you would be questioned, on that Day, about the blessings.
Then (on) that day you will be asked/questioned (E) about the blessing/goodness
and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life
Thereafter indeed you will definitely be questioned upon that Day concerning (the worldly) bliss
Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure
Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God)
Then you will be asked about all the pleasures (you enjoyed in the world)
Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned about the (eternal) bliss.
And then, you would certainly be called to account for the blessings and the bounties
Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned about the worldly pleasures you enjoyed.
There and then shall you be asked of how you used the fruits of the years you received to your comfort and to your enjoyment and content, and how you exercised your faculties divine with which Allah had endowed you and to what extent
that Day, you will be questioned about all the gifts
Then, on that Day, you will definitely be questioned about ˹your worldly˺ pleasures.
Then you will be asked that day about blessings.
Then, on that day, you shall surely be questioned about your bliss
Then you will be questioned, on that day, about the blessings you had enjoyed
And on that Day you will be asked about the pleasures you enjoyed.
And on that Day you will be asked about the pleasures you enjoyed.
Then, you will be questioned on that Day, about the Bliss.
Then, on that day, you shall be questioned about your joys and comforts
And, then, on that Day you will be questioned what you did with the boon of life. (21:13)
Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons
Then, on that day you shall be called to account for the favours bestowed upon you
Then surely you will be questioned that Day about the blessing
Then, shall you be questioned that Day about the joy (that you indulged in!
Then, on that Day, you will be questioned about the pleasures.
Then, on that Day, you will be questioned about the Bliss
Then you will be questioned about comfort on that day.
"Then, on that Day you will surely be questioned about the blessings and pleasures (you enjoyed)."
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure
Then, surely you will definitely be asked on that day about the pleasure.
Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!)
Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!)
