1 Opponents will perish in War

ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝١

Those who disbelieved and hindered Allah's pathway, He strayed their works.

alladhīna kafarū waṣaddū ʿan sabīli l-lahi aḍalla aʿmālahu

وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَءَامَنُوا۟ بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدࣲ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡ كَفَّرَ عَنۡهُمۡ سَیِّءَاتِهِمۡ وَأَصۡلَحَ بَالَهُمۡ ۝٢

And those who believed, and worked the righteous deeds, and believed with what was sent down upon Muhammad and it is the right from their Lord, He atoned about them, their bad deeds, and repaired their mind condition.

wa-alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti waāmanū bimā nuzzila ʿalā muḥammadin wahuwa l-ḥaqu min rabbihim kaffara ʿanhum sayyiātihim wa-aṣlaḥa bālahu

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلۡبَـٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلۡحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ یَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمۡثَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝٣

That is because those who disbelieved followed the invalid, and those who believed followed the right from their Lord. Thus, Allah cites for the people their examples.

dhālika bi-anna alladhīna kafarū ittabaʿū l-bāṭila wa-anna alladhīna āmanū ittabaʿū l-ḥaqa min rabbihim kadhālika yaḍribu l-lahu lilnnāsi amthālahu

فَإِذَا لَقِیتُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَضَرۡبَ ٱلرِّقَابِ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَثۡخَنتُمُوهُمۡ فَشُدُّوا۟ ٱلۡوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنَّۢا بَعۡدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَاۤءً حَتَّىٰ تَضَعَ ٱلۡحَرۡبُ أَوۡزَارَهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَلَوۡ یَشَاۤءُ ٱللَّهُ لَٱنتَصَرَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن لِّیَبۡلُوَا۟ بَعۡضَكُم بِبَعۡضࣲۗ وَٱلَّذِینَ قُتِلُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ فَلَن یُضِلَّ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝٤

So when you meet those who disbelieved, so strike the necks until, when you have subdued them, so bind the bonds, then either you confer favors afterwards or a ransom until the war lays down its burdens. That, and if Allah had willed, He victoried on them, but He will try some of you with some others. And those who are killed in Allah’s pathway, so He will not stray, their works.

fa-idhā laqītumu alladhīna kafarū faḍarba l-riqābi ḥattā idhā athkhantumūhum fashuddū l-wathāqa fa-immā mannan baʿdu wa-immā fidāan ḥattā taḍaʿa l-ḥarbu awzārahā dhālika walaw yashāu l-lahu la-intaṣara min'hum walākin liyabluwā baʿḍakum bibaʿḍin wa-alladhīna qutilū fī sabīli l-lahi falan yuḍilla aʿmālahu

سَیَهۡدِیهِمۡ وَیُصۡلِحُ بَالَهُمۡ ۝٥

He will guide them and will repair their mindly condition.

sayahdīhim wayuṣ'liḥu bālahu

وَیُدۡخِلُهُمُ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمۡ ۝٦

And will enter them into The Paradise, He recognized it for them.

wayud'khiluhumu l-janata ʿarrafahā lahu

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ إِن تَنصُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ یَنصُرۡكُمۡ وَیُثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَكُمۡ ۝٧

O you who have believed, if you victory Allah, He will victory you and fix your feet.

yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū in tanṣurū l-laha yanṣur'kum wayuthabbit aqdāmaku

وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَتَعۡسࣰا لَّهُمۡ وَأَضَلَّ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝٨

And those who disbelieved, so misery is for them, and He strayed their works.

wa-alladhīna kafarū fataʿsan lahum wa-aḍalla aʿmālahu

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَرِهُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝٩

That is because they hated what Allah had sent down, so He inhibited their works.

dhālika bi-annahum karihū mā anzala l-lahu fa-aḥbaṭa aʿmālahu

۞ أَفَلَمۡ یَسِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَیَنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ دَمَّرَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِمۡۖ وَلِلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ أَمۡثَـٰلُهَا ۝١٠

So have they not walked on the earth, so had observed how those before them consequence was? Allah had devastated upon them, and for the infidels is the alike of it.

afalam yasīrū fī l-arḍi fayanẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu alladhīna min qablihim dammara l-lahu ʿalayhim walil'kāfirīna amthāluh

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوۡلَى ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ لَا مَوۡلَىٰ لَهُمۡ ۝١١

That is because Allah is a Guardian of those who believed, and surely the infidels have no guardian for them.

dhālika bi-anna l-laha mawlā alladhīna āmanū wa-anna l-kāfirīna lā mawlā lahu

2 Oppressors brought low

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُدۡخِلُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُۖ وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ یَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَیَأۡكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأۡكُلُ ٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمُ وَٱلنَّارُ مَثۡوࣰى لَّهُمۡ ۝١٢

Surely, Allah will enter those who believed and worked the righteous deeds to paradises beneath which the rivers are running, and those who disbelieved are enjoying and eating as the livestock eat, and the Fire is a dwelling for them.

inna l-laha yud'khilu alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru wa-alladhīna kafarū yatamattaʿūna wayakulūna kamā takulu l-anʿāmu wal-nāru mathwan lahu

وَكَأَیِّن مِّن قَرۡیَةٍ هِیَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةࣰ مِّن قَرۡیَتِكَ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَخۡرَجَتۡكَ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُمۡ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمۡ ۝١٣

And how many among a village were stronger of power than your village which brought out you? We destroyed them, so there were no victors for them.

waka-ayyin min qaryatin hiya ashaddu quwwatan min qaryatika allatī akhrajatka ahlaknāhum falā nāṣira lahu

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ كَمَن زُیِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوۤءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَٱتَّبَعُوۤا۟ أَهۡوَاۤءَهُم ۝١٤

So is he who was on a proof from his Lord like him who his bad work was prettified to him and they follow their desires?

afaman kāna ʿalā bayyinatin min rabbihi kaman zuyyina lahu sūu ʿamalihi wa-ittabaʿū ahwāahu

مَّثَلُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِی وُعِدَ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۖ فِیهَاۤ أَنۡهَـٰرࣱ مِّن مَّاۤءٍ غَیۡرِ ءَاسِنࣲ وَأَنۡهَـٰرࣱ مِّن لَّبَنࣲ لَّمۡ یَتَغَیَّرۡ طَعۡمُهُۥ وَأَنۡهَـٰرࣱ مِّنۡ خَمۡرࣲ لَّذَّةࣲ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِینَ وَأَنۡهَـٰرࣱ مِّنۡ عَسَلࣲ مُّصَفࣰّىۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَ ٰتِ وَمَغۡفِرَةࣱ مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ كَمَنۡ هُوَ خَـٰلِدࣱ فِی ٱلنَّارِ وَسُقُوا۟ مَاۤءً حَمِیمࣰا فَقَطَّعَ أَمۡعَاۤءَهُمۡ ۝١٥

The likeness of the Paradise which the pious promised: within it are rivers of unpolluted water, and rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, and rivers of wine delightful for the drinkers, and rivers of filtered honey. And for them therein among all the fruitage, and forgiveness from their Lord. Is this like who is immortal in the Fire, and they watered a scalding water, so it cuts-up their intestines?

mathalu l-janati allatī wuʿida l-mutaqūna fīhā anhārun min māin ghayri āsinin wa-anhārun min labanin lam yataghayyar ṭaʿmuhu wa-anhārun min khamrin ladhatin lilshāribīna wa-anhārun min ʿasalin muṣaffan walahum fīhā min kulli l-thamarāti wamaghfiratun min rabbihim kaman huwa khālidun fī l-nāri wasuqū māan ḥamīman faqaṭṭaʿa amʿāahu

وَمِنۡهُم مَّن یَسۡتَمِعُ إِلَیۡكَ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا خَرَجُوا۟ مِنۡ عِندِكَ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ مَاذَا قَالَ ءَانِفًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَٱتَّبَعُوۤا۟ أَهۡوَاۤءَهُمۡ ۝١٦

And among them who are listening to you, until when they exit from your presence, they say to those who are given the knowledge, “What he said just now?” Those are the ones who over their cores Allah printed and followed their desires.

wamin'hum man yastamiʿu ilayka ḥattā idhā kharajū min ʿindika qālū lilladhīna ūtū l-ʿil'ma mādhā qāla ānifan ulāika alladhīna ṭabaʿa l-lahu ʿalā qulūbihim wa-ittabaʿū ahwāahu

وَٱلَّذِینَ ٱهۡتَدَوۡا۟ زَادَهُمۡ هُدࣰى وَءَاتَىٰهُمۡ تَقۡوَىٰهُمۡ ۝١٧

And those who are guided, He increases them in guidance, and He has given them their piety.

wa-alladhīna ih'tadaw zādahum hudan waātāhum taqwāhu

فَهَلۡ یَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأۡتِیَهُم بَغۡتَةࣰۖ فَقَدۡ جَاۤءَ أَشۡرَاطُهَاۚ فَأَنَّىٰ لَهُمۡ إِذَا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ ذِكۡرَىٰهُمۡ ۝١٨

So, do they await except that the Hour should come upon them unexpectedly? So, its indications had already come. so, how shall they be when it has come to them their Reminder?

fahal yanẓurūna illā l-sāʿata an tatiyahum baghtatan faqad jāa ashrāṭuhā fa-annā lahum idhā jāathum dhik'rāhu

فَٱعۡلَمۡ أَنَّهُۥ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِۗ وَٱللَّهُ یَعۡلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمۡ وَمَثۡوَىٰكُمۡ ۝١٩

So know that there is no god except Allah and ask forgiveness for your misdeed and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows your fluctuation, and your final dwelling.

fa-iʿ'lam annahu lā ilāha illā l-lahu wa-is'taghfir lidhanbika walil'mu'minīna wal-mu'mināti wal-lahu yaʿlamu mutaqallabakum wamathwāku

3 The Weak-hearted Ones

وَیَقُولُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَتۡ سُورَةࣱۖ فَإِذَاۤ أُنزِلَتۡ سُورَةࣱ مُّحۡكَمَةࣱ وَذُكِرَ فِیهَا ٱلۡقِتَالُ رَأَیۡتَ ٱلَّذِینَ فِی قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ یَنظُرُونَ إِلَیۡكَ نَظَرَ ٱلۡمَغۡشِیِّ عَلَیۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۖ فَأَوۡلَىٰ لَهُمۡ ۝٢٠

And those who believe say, “If only a surah is sent down.” So, when a well-judged surah is sent down, and the fighting is mentioned in it, you see those who are in their cores is a disease looking at you with the look of the one fainting upon him from death. So, woe is for them!

wayaqūlu alladhīna āmanū lawlā nuzzilat sūratun fa-idhā unzilat sūratun muḥ'kamatun wadhukira fīhā l-qitālu ra-ayta alladhīna fī qulūbihim maraḍun yanẓurūna ilayka naẓara l-maghshiyi ʿalayhi mina l-mawti fa-awlā lahu

طَاعَةࣱ وَقَوۡلࣱ مَّعۡرُوفࣱۚ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ فَلَوۡ صَدَقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَیۡرࣰا لَّهُمۡ ۝٢١

Obedience and well known say. So, when the matter was determined, so if they had been truthed Allah, it would have been goodness, for them.

ṭāʿatun waqawlun maʿrūfun fa-idhā ʿazama l-amru falaw ṣadaqū l-laha lakāna khayran lahu

فَهَلۡ عَسَیۡتُمۡ إِن تَوَلَّیۡتُمۡ أَن تُفۡسِدُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوۤا۟ أَرۡحَامَكُمۡ ۝٢٢

So would you perhaps, if you turned away, you would spoil the earth and cut your womb’s relationship?

fahal ʿasaytum in tawallaytum an tuf'sidū fī l-arḍi watuqaṭṭiʿū arḥāmaku

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمۡ وَأَعۡمَىٰۤ أَبۡصَـٰرَهُمۡ ۝٢٣

Those who Allah has cursed them. So, He made them deaf, and blinded their sight.

ulāika alladhīna laʿanahumu l-lahu fa-aṣammahum wa-aʿmā abṣārahu

أَفَلَا یَتَدَبَّرُونَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ أَمۡ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقۡفَالُهَاۤ ۝٢٤

Will they not ponder the Quran? Or are there locks upon their cores?

afalā yatadabbarūna l-qur'āna am ʿalā qulūbin aqfāluh

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱرۡتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَدۡبَـٰرِهِم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَى ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمۡ وَأَمۡلَىٰ لَهُمۡ ۝٢٥

Surely those who reverted upon their backs after the guidance have demonstrated to them, Satan has facilitated for them, and respited for them.

inna alladhīna ir'taddū ʿalā adbārihim min baʿdi mā tabayyana lahumu l-hudā l-shayṭānu sawwala lahum wa-amlā lahu

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ كَرِهُوا۟ مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ سَنُطِیعُكُمۡ فِی بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ وَٱللَّهُ یَعۡلَمُ إِسۡرَارَهُمۡ ۝٢٦

That is because they said for those who hated what Allah has sent down, “We will obey you in some of the matters.” And Allah knows their secrets.

dhālika bi-annahum qālū lilladhīna karihū mā nazzala l-lahu sanuṭīʿukum fī baʿḍi l-amri wal-lahu yaʿlamu is'rārahu

فَكَیۡفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ یَضۡرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمۡ وَأَدۡبَـٰرَهُمۡ ۝٢٧

So, how when the angels had deceased them, striking their faces and their backs?

fakayfa idhā tawaffathumu l-malāikatu yaḍribūna wujūhahum wa-adbārahu

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَاۤ أَسۡخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا۟ رِضۡوَ ٰنَهُۥ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝٢٨

That is because they followed what Allah wrathed, and they hated His satisfaction, so He inhibited their works.

dhālika bi-annahumu ittabaʿū mā askhaṭa l-laha wakarihū riḍ'wānahu fa-aḥbaṭa aʿmālahu

4 An Exhortation

أَمۡ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِینَ فِی قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَن لَّن یُخۡرِجَ ٱللَّهُ أَضۡغَـٰنَهُمۡ ۝٢٩

Or those who are in their cores a disease considered that Allah will not exit their malice out?

am ḥasiba alladhīna fī qulūbihim maraḍun an lan yukh'rija l-lahu aḍghānahu

وَلَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَأَرَیۡنَـٰكَهُمۡ فَلَعَرَفۡتَهُم بِسِیمَـٰهُمۡۚ وَلَتَعۡرِفَنَّهُمۡ فِی لَحۡنِ ٱلۡقَوۡلِۚ وَٱللَّهُ یَعۡلَمُ أَعۡمَـٰلَكُمۡ ۝٣٠

And had We willed, We could have shown them to you, and you would have recognized them with their marks. And you will recognize them by the speech tone. And Allah knows your works.

walaw nashāu la-araynākahum falaʿaraftahum bisīmāhum walataʿrifannahum fī laḥni l-qawli wal-lahu yaʿlamu aʿmālaku

وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّكُمۡ حَتَّىٰ نَعۡلَمَ ٱلۡمُجَـٰهِدِینَ مِنكُمۡ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرِینَ وَنَبۡلُوَا۟ أَخۡبَارَكُمۡ ۝٣١

And We will try you, until We know the effortful ones among you, and the patient ones, and We will try your news.

walanabluwannakum ḥattā naʿlama l-mujāhidīna minkum wal-ṣābirīna wanabluwā akhbāraku

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَشَاۤقُّوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ لَن یَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ شَیۡءࣰا وَسَیُحۡبِطُ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ۝٣٢

Surely, those who disbelieved, and hindered about Allah’s pathway, and opposed the Messenger after it was demonstrated for them the guidance, they will not harm Allah of a thing, and He will inhibit their works.

inna alladhīna kafarū waṣaddū ʿan sabīli l-lahi washāqqū l-rasūla min baʿdi mā tabayyana lahumu l-hudā lan yaḍurrū l-laha shayan wasayuḥ'biṭu aʿmālahu

۞ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَطِیعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبۡطِلُوۤا۟ أَعۡمَـٰلَكُمۡ ۝٣٣

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not invalidate your works.

yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū aṭīʿū l-laha wa-aṭīʿū l-rasūla walā tub'ṭilū aʿmālaku

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُوا۟ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارࣱ فَلَن یَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡ ۝٣٤

Surely, those who disbelieved, and hindered Allah's pathway, then died while they were infidels, So Allah will never forgive them.

inna alladhīna kafarū waṣaddū ʿan sabīli l-lahi thumma mātū wahum kuffārun falan yaghfira l-lahu lahu

فَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَتَدۡعُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّلۡمِ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَكُمۡ وَلَن یَتِرَكُمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَكُمۡ ۝٣٥

So do not be humiliated and call for peace, and you are the uppermost; and Allah is with you and will never make you quit your works.

falā tahinū watadʿū ilā l-salmi wa-antumu l-aʿlawna wal-lahu maʿakum walan yatirakum aʿmālaku

إِنَّمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعِبࣱ وَلَهۡوࣱۚ وَإِن تُؤۡمِنُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ یُؤۡتِكُمۡ أُجُورَكُمۡ وَلَا یَسۡءَلۡكُمۡ أَمۡوَ ٰلَكُمۡ ۝٣٦

Surely, the Dunya life (this world) is only a play and amusement. And if you believe and show piety, He will give you your wages, and He is not asking you, your money.

innamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā laʿibun walahwun wa-in tu'minū watattaqū yu'tikum ujūrakum walā yasalkum amwālaku

إِن یَسۡءَلۡكُمُوهَا فَیُحۡفِكُمۡ تَبۡخَلُوا۟ وَیُخۡرِجۡ أَضۡغَـٰنَكُمۡ ۝٣٧

If He asks you for it, so presses you, you would skimp, and He would get out your malice.

in yasalkumūhā fayuḥ'fikum tabkhalū wayukh'rij aḍghānaku

هَـٰۤأَنتُمۡ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ تُدۡعَوۡنَ لِتُنفِقُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن یَبۡخَلُۖ وَمَن یَبۡخَلۡ فَإِنَّمَا یَبۡخَلُ عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦۚ وَٱللَّهُ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَاۤءُۚ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوۡا۟ یَسۡتَبۡدِلۡ قَوۡمًا غَیۡرَكُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا یَكُونُوۤا۟ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُم ۝٣٨

Here you are, these being called to spend in Allah’s access. So, among you who skimp; and whoever skimp is only skimping against himself. And Allah is Al-Ghany (The Rich), and you are the poor. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another kinsfolk, then they will not be alike you.

hāantum hāulāi tud'ʿawna litunfiqū fī sabīli l-lahi faminkum man yabkhalu waman yabkhal fa-innamā yabkhalu ʿan nafsihi wal-lahu l-ghaniyu wa-antumu l-fuqarāu wa-in tatawallaw yastabdil qawman ghayrakum thumma lā yakūnū amthālaku
