ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ l-malāikatu

يَٰمَرْيَمُ yāmaryamu

إِنَّ inna

ٱللَّهَ l-laha
Allah Noun
ٱصْطَفَىٰكِ iṣ'ṭafāki
(has) chosen you V
وَطَهَّرَكِ waṭahharaki
and purified you V
وَٱصْطَفَىٰكِ wa-iṣ'ṭafāki
and chosen you V
عَلَىٰ ʿalā
over Prep
نِسَآءِ nisāi
(the) women Noun
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds Noun

The angels said to Mary: ‘Mary, God has chosen you and made you pure: He has truly chosen you above all women

وَإِذۡ قَالَتِ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ یَـٰمَرۡیَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَٱصۡطَفَىٰكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَاۤءِ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٤٢

wa-idh qālati l-malāikatu yāmaryamu inna l-laha iṣ'ṭafāki waṭahharaki wa-iṣ'ṭafāki ʿalā nisāi l-ʿālamīn
