أَفَأَصۡفَىٰكُمۡ رَبُّكُم بِٱلۡبَنِینَ وَٱتَّخَذَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِنَـٰثًاۚ إِنَّكُمۡ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوۡلًا عَظِیمࣰا ٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying
The Pilgrimage 22:75
Verb
ٱللَّهُ یَصۡطَفِی مِنَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ رُسُلࣰا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِیعُۢ بَصِیرࣱ ٧٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Allah chooses from the angels messengers and from the people. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing
قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰۤۗ ءَاۤللَّهُ خَیۡرٌ أَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ ٥٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Say, [O Muhammad], "Praise be to Allah , and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him?"
The Cow 2:130
Verb
وَمَن یَرۡغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِـۧمَ إِلَّا مَن سَفِهَ نَفۡسَهُۥۚ وَلَقَدِ ٱصۡطَفَیۡنَـٰهُ فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَاۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ١٣٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And who would be averse to the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself. And We had chosen him in this world, and indeed he, in the Hereafter, will be among the righteous

وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِـۧمُ بَنِیهِ وَیَعۡقُوبُ یَـٰبَنِیَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّینَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ ١٣٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And Abraham instructed his sons [to do the same] and [so did] Jacob, [saying], "O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except while you are Muslims."
