وَإِذَاۤ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ضَرَّاۤءَ مَسَّتۡهُمۡ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكۡرࣱ فِیۤ ءَایَاتِنَاۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَسۡرَعُ مَكۡرًاۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا یَكۡتُبُونَ مَا تَمۡكُرُونَ ۝٢١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And when We give the people a taste of mercy after adversity has touched them, at once they conspire against Our verses. Say, " Allah is swifter in strategy." Indeed, Our messengers record that which you conspir
Abdel Haleem: No sooner do We let people taste some mercy after some hardship has afflicted them, than they begin to scheme against Our revelations. Say, ‘God schemes even faster.’ Our messengersrecord all your scheming
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy after some adversity which had afflicted them, behold! they have some plot against Our revelations. Say: Allah is more swift in plotting. Lo! Our messengers write down that which ye plot
The Thunder 13:41 Noun
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّا نَأۡتِی ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنۡ أَطۡرَافِهَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ یَحۡكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكۡمِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝٤١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: Do they not see how We come to [their] land and shrink its borders? God decides- no one can reverse His decision- and He is swift in reckoning
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? (When) Allah doometh there is none that can postpone His doom, and He is swift at reckoning
Abraham 14:51 Noun
لِیَجۡزِیَ ٱللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفۡسࣲ مَّا كَسَبَتۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝٥١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So that Allah will recompense every soul for what it earned. Indeed, Allah is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: [All will be judged] so that God may reward each soul as it deserves: God is swift in His reckoning
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: That Allah may repay each soul what it hath earned. Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning
The Light 24:39 Noun
وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ أَعۡمَـٰلُهُمۡ كَسَرَابِۭ بِقِیعَةࣲ یَحۡسَبُهُ ٱلظَّمۡءَانُ مَاۤءً حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَهُۥ لَمۡ یَجِدۡهُ شَیۡءࣰا وَوَجَدَ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ فَوَفَّىٰهُ حِسَابَهُۥۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝٣٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing but finds Allah before Him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: But the deeds of those who disbelieve are like a mirage in a desert: the thirsty person thinks there will be water but, when he gets there, he finds only God, who pays him his account in full- God is swift in reckoning
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are as a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one supposeth it to be water till he cometh unto it and findeth it naught, and findeth, in the place thereof, Allah Who payeth him his due; and Allah is swift at reckoning
The Cow 2:202 Noun
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمۡ نَصِیبࣱ مِّمَّا كَسَبُوا۟ۚ وَٱللَّهُ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝٢٠٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Those will have a share of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: They will have the share they have worked for: God is swift in reckoning
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: For them there is in store a goodly portion out of that which they have earned. Allah is swift at reckoning
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:19 Noun
إِنَّ ٱلدِّینَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡإِسۡلَـٰمُۗ وَمَا ٱخۡتَلَفَ ٱلَّذِینَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَاۤءَهُمُ ٱلۡعِلۡمُ بَغۡیَۢا بَیۡنَهُمۡۗ وَمَن یَكۡفُرۡ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝١٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account
Abdel Haleem: True Religion, in God’s eyes, is islam: [devotion to Him alone]. Those who were given the Scripture disagreed out of rivalry, only after they had been given knowledge- if anyone denies God’s revelations, God is swift to take account
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:199 Noun
وَإِنَّ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لَمَن یُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡكُمۡ وَمَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡهِمۡ خَـٰشِعِینَ لِلَّهِ لَا یَشۡتَرُونَ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنࣰا قَلِیلًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝١٩٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, [being] humbly submissive to Allah . They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: Some of the People of the Book believe in God, in what has been sent down to you and in what was sent down to them: humbling themselves before God, they would never sell God’s revelation for a small price. These people will have their rewards with their Lord: God is swift in reckoning
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And lo! of the People of the Scripture there are some who believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto you and that which was revealed unto them, humbling themselves before Allah. They purchase not a trifling gain at the price of the revelations of Allah. Verily their reward is with their Lord. Lo! Allah is swift to take account
The Forgiver, The Forgiving One 40:17 Noun
ٱلۡیَوۡمَ تُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡۚ لَا ظُلۡمَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: Today each soul will be rewarded for whatever it has done; today no injustice will be done. God is swift in reckoning.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: This day is each soul requited that which it hath earned; no wrong (is done) this day. Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning
The Letter Qaf 50:44 Noun
یَوۡمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ عَنۡهُمۡ سِرَاعࣰاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ حَشۡرٌ عَلَیۡنَا یَسِیرࣱ ۝٤٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us
Abdel Haleem: on the Day when the earth will be torn apart, letting them rush out- that gathering will be easy for Us
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make)
The Table, The Table Spread 5:4 Noun
یَسۡءَلُونَكَ مَاذَاۤ أُحِلَّ لَهُمۡۖ قُلۡ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتُ وَمَا عَلَّمۡتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِینَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّاۤ أَمۡسَكۡنَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ وَٱذۡكُرُوا۟ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡهِۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah ." Indeed, Allah is swift in account
Abdel Haleem: They ask you, Prophet, what is lawful for them. Say, ‘All good things are lawful for you.’ [This includes] what you have taught your birds and beasts of prey to catch, teaching them as God has taught you, so eat what they catch for you, but first pronounce God’s name over it. Be mindful of God: He is swift to take account
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They ask thee (O Muhammad) what is made lawful for them. Say: (all) good things are made lawful for you. And those beasts and birds of prey which ye have trained as hounds are trained, ye teach them that which Allah taught you; so eat of that which they catch for you and mention Allah's name upon it, and observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is swift to take account
Cattle, Livestock 6:165 Noun
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَكُمۡ خَلَـٰۤىِٕفَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعۡضَكُمۡ فَوۡقَ بَعۡضࣲ دَرَجَـٰتࣲ لِّیَبۡلُوَكُمۡ فِی مَاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَغَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمُۢ ۝١٦٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful
Abdel Haleem: It is He who made you successors on the earth and raises some of you above others in rank, to test you through what He gives you. [Prophet], your Lord is swift in punishment, yet He is most forgiving and merciful
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He it is Who hath placed you as viceroys of the earth and hath exalted some of you in rank above others, that He may try you by (the test of) that which He hath given you. Lo! Thy Lord is swift in prosecution, and Lo! He verily is Forgiving, Merciful
Cattle, Livestock 6:62 Noun
ثُمَّ رُدُّوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوۡلَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ وَهُوَ أَسۡرَعُ ٱلۡحَـٰسِبِینَ ۝٦٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Then they His servants are returned to Allah , their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of accountants
Abdel Haleem: Then they will all be returned to God, their true Lord. The Judgement truly belongs to Him, and He is the swiftest of reckoners
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Then are they restored unto Allah, their Lord, the Just. Surely His is the judgment. And He is the most swift of reckoners
The Ascending Stairways, The Ladders 70:43 Noun
یَوۡمَ یَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعࣰا كَأَنَّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ نُصُبࣲ یُوفِضُونَ ۝٤٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening
Abdel Haleem: the Day they will rush out of their graves as if rallying to a flag
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:167 Noun
وَإِذۡ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكَ لَیَبۡعَثَنَّ عَلَیۡهِمۡ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ مَن یَسُومُهُمۡ سُوۤءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَسَرِیعُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَغَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝١٦٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And [mention] when your Lord declared that He would surely [continue to] send upon them until the Day of Resurrection those who would afflict them with the worst torment. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful
Abdel Haleem: And then your Lord declared that, until the Day of Resurrection, He would send people against them to inflict terrible suffering on them. Your Lord is swift in punishment but He is most forgiving and merciful
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And (remember) when thy Lord proclaimed that He would raise against them till the Day of Resurrection those who would lay on them a cruel torment. Lo! verily thy Lord is swift in prosecution and lo! verily He is Forgiving, Merciful

The Prophets 21:90 Verb
فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ یَحۡیَىٰ وَأَصۡلَحۡنَا لَهُۥ زَوۡجَهُۥۤۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِ وَیَدۡعُونَنَا رَغَبࣰا وَرَهَبࣰاۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَـٰشِعِینَ ۝٩٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive
Abdel Haleem: We answered him––We gave him John, and cured his wife of barrenness- they were always keen to do good deeds. They called upon Us out of longing and awe, and humbled themselves before Us
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Then We heard his prayer, and bestowed upon him John, and adjusted his wife (to bear a child) for him. Lo! they used to vie one with the other in good deeds, and they cried unto Us in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Us
The Believers 23:56 Verb
نُسَارِعُ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِۚ بَل لَّا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝٥٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive
Abdel Haleem: We race to give them good things? They really have no idea
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not
The Believers 23:61 Verb
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِ وَهُمۡ لَهَا سَـٰبِقُونَ ۝٦١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein
Abdel Haleem: are the ones who race toward good things, and they will be the first to get them
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:114 Verb
یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡیَوۡمِ ٱلۡءَاخِرِ وَیَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَیَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَیُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝١١٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and hasten to good deeds. And those are among the righteous
Abdel Haleem: who believe in God and the Last Day, who order what is right and forbid what is wrong, who are quick to do good deeds. These people are among the righteou
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency, and vie one with another in good works. These are of the righteous
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:133 Verb
۞ وَسَارِعُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ ۝١٣٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteou
Abdel Haleem: Hurry towards your Lord’s forgiveness and a Garden as wide as the heavens and earth prepared for the righteous
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And vie one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil)
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:176 Verb
وَلَا یَحۡزُنكَ ٱلَّذِینَ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡكُفۡرِۚ إِنَّهُمۡ لَن یَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ شَیۡءࣰاۗ یُرِیدُ ٱللَّهُ أَلَّا یَجۡعَلَ لَهُمۡ حَظࣰّا فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِیمٌ ۝١٧٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And do not be grieved, [O Muhammad], by those who hasten into disbelief. Indeed, they will never harm Allah at all. Allah intends that He should give them no share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], do not be grieved by those who are quick to disbelieve. They will not harm God in the least; it is God’s will that they will have no share in the Hereafter- a terrible torment awaits them
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Let not their conduct grieve thee, who run easily to disbelief, for lo! they injure Allah not at all. It is Allah's Will to assign them no portion in the Hereafter, and theirs will be an awful doom
The Table, The Table Spread 5:41 Verb
۞ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا یَحۡزُنكَ ٱلَّذِینَ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡكُفۡرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ قَالُوۤا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفۡوَ ٰهِهِمۡ وَلَمۡ تُؤۡمِن قُلُوبُهُمۡۛ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ هَادُوا۟ۛ سَمَّـٰعُونَ لِلۡكَذِبِ سَمَّـٰعُونَ لِقَوۡمٍ ءَاخَرِینَ لَمۡ یَأۡتُوكَۖ یُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلۡكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦۖ یَقُولُونَ إِنۡ أُوتِیتُمۡ هَـٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمۡ تُؤۡتَوۡهُ فَٱحۡذَرُوا۟ۚ وَمَن یُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتۡنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمۡلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَیۡءًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَمۡ یُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن یُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمۡۚ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَا خِزۡیࣱۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِیمࣱ ۝٤١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] usages, saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah - never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah . Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment
Abdel Haleem: Messenger, do not be grieved by those who race to surpass one another in disbelief- those who say with their mouths, ‘We believe,’ but have no faith in their hearts, and the Jews who listen eagerly to lies and to those who have not even met you, who distort the meanings of [revealed] words and say [to each other], ‘If you are given this ruling, accept it, but if you are not, then beware!’––if God intends some people to be so misguided, you will be powerless against God on their behalf. These are the ones whose hearts God does not intend to cleanse- a disgrace for them in this world, and then a heavy punishment in the Hereafter
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: O Messenger! Let not them grieve thee who vie one with another in the race to disbelief, of such as say with their mouths: "We believe," but their hearts believe not, and of the Jews: listeners for the sake of falsehood, listeners on behalf of other folk who come not unto thee, changing words from their context and saying: If this be given unto you, receive it, but if this be not given unto you, then beware! He whom Allah doometh unto sin, thou (by thine efforts) wilt avail him naught against Allah. Those are they for whom the Will of Allah is that He cleanse not their hearts. Theirs in the world will be ignominy, and in the Hereafter an awful doom
The Table, The Table Spread 5:52 Verb
فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِینَ فِی قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضࣱ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِیهِمۡ یَقُولُونَ نَخۡشَىٰۤ أَن تُصِیبَنَا دَاۤىِٕرَةࣱۚ فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن یَأۡتِیَ بِٱلۡفَتۡحِ أَوۡ أَمۡرࣲ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦ فَیُصۡبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَاۤ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِیۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ نَـٰدِمِینَ ۝٥٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into [association with] them, saying, "We are afraid a misfortune may strike us." But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful
Abdel Haleem: yet you [Prophet] will see the perverse at heart rushing to them for protection, saying, ‘We are afraid fortune may turn against us.’ But God may well bring about a triumph or some other event of His own making: then they will rue the secrets they harboured in their hearts
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And thou seest those in whose heart is a disease race toward them, saying: We fear lest a change of fortune befall us. And it may happen that Allah will vouchsafe (unto thee) the victory, or a commandment from His presence. Then will they repent them of their secret thoughts

وَتَرَىٰ كَثِیرࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَ ٰنِ وَأَكۡلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحۡتَۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٦٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And you see many of them hastening into sin and aggression and the devouring of [what is] unlawful. How wretched is what they have been doing
Abdel Haleem: You [Prophet] see many of them rushing into sin and hostility and consuming what is unlawful. How evil their practices are
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And thou seest many of them vying one with another in sin and transgression and their devouring of illicit gain. Verily evil is what they do
