أَثُمَّ إِذَا مَا وَقَعَ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦۤۚ ءَاۤلۡءَـٰنَ وَقَدۡ كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ۝٥١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] for it impatien
Abdel Haleem: Will you believe in it, when it actually happens?’ It will be said, ‘Now [you believe], when [before] you sought to hasten it?’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Is it (only) then, when it hath befallen you, that ye will believe? What! (Believe) now, when (until now) ye have been hastening it on (through disbelief)
The Rock, Stoneland, Rock City 15:29 Verb
فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ ۝٢٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
Abdel Haleem: When I have fashioned him and breathed My spirit into him, bow down before him,’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him
The Pilgrimage 22:65 Verb
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلۡفُلۡكَ تَجۡرِی فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَیُمۡسِكُ ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِٱلنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٦٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allah , to the people, is Kind and Merciful
Abdel Haleem: Have you not considered how God has made everything on the earth of service to you? That ships sail the sea at His command? That He keeps the heavens from falling down on the earth without His permission? God is most compassionate and most merciful to mankind
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Hast thou not seen how Allah hath made all that is in the earth subservient unto you? And the ship runneth upon the sea by His command, and He holdeth back the heaven from falling on the earth unless by His leave. Lo! Allah is, for mankind, Full of Pity, Merciful
The Ant, The Ants 27:82 Verb
۞ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ أَخۡرَجۡنَا لَهُمۡ دَاۤبَّةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا لَا یُوقِنُونَ ۝٨٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]
Abdel Haleem: When the verdict is given against them, We shall bring a creature out of the earth, which will tell them that people had no faith in Our revelations
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations
The Ant, The Ants 27:85 Verb
وَوَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَیۡهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا۟ فَهُمۡ لَا یَنطِقُونَ ۝٨٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the decree will befall them for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak
Abdel Haleem: The verdict will be given against them because of their wrongdoing: they will not speak
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And the Word will be fulfilled concerning them because they have done wrong, and they will not speak
The Letter Sad 38:72 Verb
فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ ۝٧٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
Abdel Haleem: When I have shaped him and breathed from My Spirit into him, bow down before him.’

Women 4:100 Verb
۞ وَمَن یُهَاجِرۡ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ یَجِدۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُرَ ٰغَمࣰا كَثِیرࣰا وَسَعَةࣰۚ وَمَن یَخۡرُجۡ مِنۢ بَیۡتِهِۦ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ یُدۡرِكۡهُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ فَقَدۡ وَقَعَ أَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣰا رَّحِیمࣰا ۝١٠٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him - his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah . And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful
Abdel Haleem: and if anyone leaves home as a migrant towards God and His Messenger and is then overtaken by death, his reward from God is sure. God is most forgiving and most merciful
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Whoso migrateth for the cause of Allah will find much refuge and abundance in the earth, and whoso forsaketh his home, a fugitive unto Allah and His messenger, and death overtaketh him, his reward is then incumbent on Allah. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful
The Event, The Inevitable, That Which is Coming 56:1 Verb
۞ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): When the Occurrence occurs
Abdel Haleem: When that which is coming arrives
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: When the event befalleth
The Table, The Table Spread 5:91 Verb
إِنَّمَا یُرِیدُ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ أَن یُوقِعَ بَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡعَدَ ٰوَةَ وَٱلۡبَغۡضَاۤءَ فِی ٱلۡخَمۡرِ وَٱلۡمَیۡسِرِ وَیَصُدَّكُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ ۝٩١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist
Abdel Haleem: With intoxicants and gambling, Satan seeks only to incite enmity and hatred among you, and to stop you remembering God and prayer. Will you not give them up
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Satan seeketh only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of strong drink and games of chance, and to turn you from remembrance of Allah and from (His) worship. Will ye then have done
The Reality, The Inevitable 69:15 Verb
فَیَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur
Abdel Haleem: on that Day the Great Event will come to pass
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Then, on that day will the Event befall
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:118 Verb
فَوَقَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١١٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing
Abdel Haleem: The truth was confirmed and what they had produced came to nothing
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thus was the Truth vindicated and that which they were doing was made vain
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:134 Verb
وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلرِّجۡزُ قَالُوا۟ یَـٰمُوسَى ٱدۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَۖ لَىِٕن كَشَفۡتَ عَنَّا ٱلرِّجۡزَ لَنُؤۡمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرۡسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝١٣٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And when the punishment descended upon them, they said, "O Moses, invoke for us your Lord by what He has promised you. If you [can] remove the punishment from us, we will surely believe you, and we will send with you the Children of Israel."
Abdel Haleem: They would say, whenever a plague struck them, ‘Moses, pray to your Lord for us by virtue of the promise He has made to you: if you relieve us of the plague, we will believe you and let the Children of Israel go with you,’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when the terror fell on them they cried: O Moses! Pray for us unto thy Lord, because He hath a covenant with thee. If thou removest the terror from us we verily will trust thee and will let the Children of Israel go with thee
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:71 Verb
قَالَ قَدۡ وَقَعَ عَلَیۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ رِجۡسࣱ وَغَضَبٌۖ أَتُجَـٰدِلُونَنِی فِیۤ أَسۡمَاۤءࣲ سَمَّیۡتُمُوهَاۤ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَاۤؤُكُم مَّا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلۡطَـٰنࣲۚ فَٱنتَظِرُوۤا۟ إِنِّی مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِینَ ۝٧١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [Hud] said, "Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."
Abdel Haleem: He said, ‘You are already set to receive your Lord’s loathing and anger. Are you arguing with me about mere names you and your forefathers invented, names for which God has given no sanction? Just wait; I too am waiting.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: Terror and wrath from your Lord have already fallen on you. Would ye wrangle with me over names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which no warrant from Allah hath been revealed? Then await (the consequence), lo! I (also) am of those awaiting (it)

The Cave 18:53 Noun
وَرَءَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ٱلنَّارَ فَظَنُّوۤا۟ أَنَّهُم مُّوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمۡ یَجِدُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مَصۡرِفࣰا ۝٥٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall therein. And they will not find from it a way elsewhere
Abdel Haleem: The evildoers will see the Fire and they will realize that they are about to fall into it: they will find no escape from it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And the guilty behold the Fire and know that they are about to fall therein, and they find no way of escape thence
Council, Consultation, The Counsel 42:22 Noun
تَرَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ مُشۡفِقِینَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا۟ وَهُوَ وَاقِعُۢ بِهِمۡۗ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فِی رَوۡضَاتِ ٱلۡجَنَّاتِۖ لَهُم مَّا یَشَاۤءُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡكَبِیرُ ۝٢٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they have earned, and it will [certainly] befall them. And those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in lush regions of the gardens [in Paradise] having whatever they will in the presence of their Lord. That is what is the great bounty
Abdel Haleem: you will see them fearful because of what they have done: punishment is bound to fall on them- but those who believe and do good deeds will be in the flowering meadows of the Gardens. They will have whatever they wish from their Lord: this is the great bounty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thou seest the wrong-doers fearful of that which they have earned, and it will surely befall them, while those who believe and do good works (will be) in flowering meadows of the Gardens, having what they wish from their Lord. This is the great preferment
The Winnowing Winds, The Scatterers 51:6 Noun
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّینَ لَوَ ٰقِعࣱ ۝٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And indeed, the recompense is to occur
Abdel Haleem: the Judgement will come––
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And lo! the judgment will indeed befall
The Mount, The Mountain 52:7 Noun
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَ ٰقِعࣱ ۝٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], your Lord’s punishment is coming––
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! the doom of thy Lord will surely come to pass

The Event, The Inevitable, That Which is Coming 56:2 Noun
لَیۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۝٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): There is, at its occurrence, no denial
Abdel Haleem: no one will be able to deny it has come
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: There is no denying that it will befall
The Event, The Inevitable, That Which is Coming 56:75 Noun
۞ فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَ ٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٧٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Then I swear by the setting of the stars
Abdel Haleem: I swear by the positions of the stars
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Nay, I swear by the places of the stars
The Reality, The Inevitable 69:15 Noun
فَیَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١٥

The Emissaries, Winds Sent Forth 77:7 Noun
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَ ٰقِعࣱ ۝٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, what you are promised is to occur
Abdel Haleem: what you are promised will come to pass
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Surely that which ye are promised will befall
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:171 Noun
۞ وَإِذۡ نَتَقۡنَا ٱلۡجَبَلَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَأَنَّهُۥ ظُلَّةࣱ وَظَنُّوۤا۟ أَنَّهُۥ وَاقِعُۢ بِهِمۡ خُذُوا۟ مَاۤ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰكُم بِقُوَّةࣲ وَٱذۡكُرُوا۟ مَا فِیهِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٧١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And [mention] when We raised the mountain above them as if it was a dark cloud and they were certain that it would fall upon them, [and Allah said], "Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that you might fear Allah ."
Abdel Haleem: When We made the mountain loom high above them like a shadow, and they thought it would fall on them, We said, ‘Hold fast to what We have given you, and remember what it contains, so that you may remain conscious of God.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when We shook the Mount above them as it were a covering, and they supposed that it was going to fall upon them (and We said): Hold fast that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein, that ye may ward off (evil)
