78
أَطَّلَعَ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَهۡدࣰا ٧٨
aṭṭalaʿa l-ghayba ami ittakhadha ʿinda l-raḥmāni ʿahda
Has he penetrated the unknown or received a pledge to that effect from the Lord of Mercy
79
كَلَّاۚ سَنَكۡتُبُ مَا یَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ مَدࣰّا ٧٩
kallā sanaktubu mā yaqūlu wanamuddu lahu mina l-ʿadhābi madda
No! We shall certainly record what he says and prolong his punishment
80
وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا یَقُولُ وَیَأۡتِینَا فَرۡدࣰا ٨٠
wanarithuhu mā yaqūlu wayatīnā farda
We shall inherit from him all that he speaks of and he will come to Us all alone
81
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةࣰ لِّیَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمۡ عِزࣰّا ٨١
wa-ittakhadhū min dūni l-lahi ālihatan liyakūnū lahum ʿizza
They have taken other gods beside God to give them strength
82
كَلَّاۚ سَیَكۡفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ وَیَكُونُونَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ضِدًّا ٨٢
kallā sayakfurūna biʿibādatihim wayakūnūna ʿalayhim ḍidda
but these gods will reject their worship and will even turn against them
83
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ تَؤُزُّهُمۡ أَزࣰّا ٨٣
alam tara annā arsalnā l-shayāṭīna ʿalā l-kāfirīna ta-uzzuhum azza
Have you [Prophet] not seen how We send devils to incite the disbelievers to sin
84
فَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمۡ عَدࣰّا ٨٤
falā taʿjal ʿalayhim innamā naʿuddu lahum ʿadda
There is no need for you to be impatient concerning them: We are counting down their [allotted] time
85
یَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ وَفۡدࣰا ٨٥
yawma naḥshuru l-mutaqīna ilā l-raḥmāni wafda
On the Day We gather the righteous as an honoured company before the Lord of Merc
86
وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدࣰا ٨٦
wanasūqu l-muj'rimīna ilā jahannama wir'da
and drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell
