Verse 37:107 in Context

103 فَلَمَّاۤ أَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلۡجَبِینِ ۝١٠٣ falammā aslamā watallahu lil'jabīn When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on the side of his face 104 وَنَـٰدَیۡنَـٰهُ أَن یَـٰۤإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُ ۝١٠٤ wanādaynāhu an yāib'rāhīm We called out to him, ‘Abraham 105 قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ ٱلرُّءۡیَاۤۚ إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١٠٥ qad ṣaddaqta l-ru'yā innā kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn you have fulfilled the dream.’ This is how We reward those who do good 106 إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡبَلَـٰۤؤُا۟ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝١٠٦ inna hādhā lahuwa l-balāu l-mubīn it was a test to prove [their true characters]
107 وَفَدَیۡنَـٰهُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝١٠٧ wafadaynāhu bidhib'ḥin ʿaẓīmi We ransomed his son with a momentous sacrifice
108 وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَیۡهِ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١٠٨ wataraknā ʿalayhi fī l-ākhirīn and We let him be praised by succeeding generations 109 سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ۝١٠٩ salāmun ʿalā ib'rāhīm ‘Peace be upon Abraham!’ 110 كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١١٠ kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn This is how We reward those who do good 111 إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١١١ innahu min ʿibādinā l-mu'minīn truly he was one of Our faithful servants
