وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی رَحِیمࣱ وَدُودࣱ ۝٩٠

wa-is'taghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi inna rabbī raḥīmun wadūdu

۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَـٰلِحًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ

wa-ilā thamūda akhāhum ṣāliḥan qāla yāqawmi uʿ'budū l-laha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu huwa ansha-akum mina l-arḍi wa-is'taʿmarakum fīhā fa-is'taghfirūhu thumma tūbū ilayhi inna rabbī qarībun mujību

To the Thamud, We sent their brother, Salih. He said, ‘My people, worship God. You have no god other than Him. It was He who brought you into being from the earth and made you inhabit it, so ask forgiveness from Him, and turn back to Him: my Lord is near, and ready to answer.’

وَيَـٰقَوْمِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ

wayāqawmi is'taghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi yur'sili l-samāa ʿalaykum mid'rāran wayazid'kum quwwatan ilā quwwatikum walā tatawallaw muj'rimīn

My people, ask forgiveness from your Lord, and return to Him. He will send down for you rain in abundance from the sky, and give you extra strength. Do not turn away and be lost in your sins.’
