ٱلْمَحِيضِ l-maḥīḍi

فَٱعْتَزِلُوا۟ fa-iʿ'tazilū
so keep away (from) V
ٱلنِّسَآءَ l-nisāa

ٱلْمَحِيضِ l-maḥīḍi
(their) [the] menstruation Noun
وَلَا walā
And (do) not Prep
تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ taqrabūhunna
approach them V
حَتَّىٰ ḥattā
until Prep
يَطْهُرْنَ yaṭhur'na
they are cleansed V
فَإِذَا fa-idhā
Then when Noun
تَطَهَّرْنَ taṭahharna
they are purified V
فَأْتُوهُنَّ fatūhunna
then come to them V
مِنْ min
from Prep
حَيْثُ ḥaythu
where Noun
أَمَرَكُمُ amarakumu
has ordered you V
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu
Allah Noun
إِنَّ inna
Indeed Prep
ٱللَّهَ l-laha
Allah Noun
يُحِبُّ yuḥibbu
loves V
ٱلتَّوَّٰبِينَ l-tawābīna
those who turn in repentance Noun
وَيُحِبُّ wayuḥibbu
and loves V
ٱلْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ l-mutaṭahirīna
those who purify themselves Noun

They ask you [Prophet] about menstruation. Say, ‘Menstruation is a painful condition, so keep away from women during it. Do not approach them until they are cleansed; when they are cleansed, you may approach them as God has ordained. God loves those who turn to Him, and He loves those who keep themselves clean

وَیَسۡءَلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡمَحِیضِۖ قُلۡ هُوَ أَذࣰى فَٱعۡتَزِلُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَاۤءَ فِی ٱلۡمَحِیضِ وَلَا تَقۡرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ یَطۡهُرۡنَۖ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرۡنَ فَأۡتُوهُنَّ مِنۡ حَیۡثُ أَمَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحِبُّ ٱلتَّوَّ ٰبِینَ وَیُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَطَهِّرِینَ ۝٢٢٢

wayasalūnaka ʿani l-maḥīḍi qul huwa adhan fa-iʿ'tazilū l-nisāa fī l-maḥīḍi walā taqrabūhunna ḥattā yaṭhur'na fa-idhā taṭahharna fatūhunna min ḥaythu amarakumu l-lahu inna l-laha yuḥibbu l-tawābīna wayuḥibbu l-mutaṭahirīn
