Verse 19:92 in Context

88
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَلَدࣰا ٨٨
waqālū ittakhadha l-raḥmānu walada
The disbelievers say, ‘The Lord of Mercy has offspring.’
89
لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتُمۡ شَیۡءًا إِدࣰّا ٨٩
laqad ji'tum shayan idda
How terrible is this thing you assert
90
تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ یَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا ٩٠
takādu l-samāwātu yatafaṭṭarna min'hu watanshaqqu l-arḍu watakhirru l-jibālu hadda
it almost causes the heavens to be torn apart, the earth to split asunder, the mountains to crumble to pieces
91
أَن دَعَوۡا۟ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ وَلَدࣰا ٩١
an daʿaw lilrraḥmāni walada
that they attribute offspring to the Lord of Mercy
92
وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ أَن یَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا ٩٢
wamā yanbaghī lilrraḥmāni an yattakhidha walada
It does not befit the Lord of Mercy [to have offspring]
93
إِن كُلُّ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّاۤ ءَاتِی ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَبۡدࣰا ٩٣
in kullu man fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi illā ātī l-raḥmāni ʿabda
there is no one in the heavens or earth who will not come to the Lord of Mercy as a servant
94
لَّقَدۡ أَحۡصَىٰهُمۡ وَعَدَّهُمۡ عَدࣰّا ٩٤
laqad aḥṣāhum waʿaddahum ʿadda
He has counted them all: He has numbered them exactly
95
وَكُلُّهُمۡ ءَاتِیهِ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فَرۡدًا ٩٥
wakulluhum ātīhi yawma l-qiyāmati farda
and they will each return to Him on the Day of Resurrection all alone
96
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَیَجۡعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وُدࣰّا ٩٦
inna alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti sayajʿalu lahumu l-raḥmānu wudda
But the Lord of Mercy will give love to those who believe and do righteous deeds
