فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

faqad kadhabū fasayatīhim anbāu mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

they deny it, but the truth of what they scorned will soon hit them

فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

fa-aṣābahum sayyiātu mā ʿamilū waḥāqa bihim mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

So the evil they had done hit them and they were surrounded by the very thing they had mocked

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

wabadā lahum sayyiātu mā kasabū waḥāqa bihim mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

the evil of their deeds will become plain to them, and they will be overwhelmed by that at which they used to laugh
