1 Judgment approaches
21:1 ›
۞ ٱقۡتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمۡ وَهُمۡ فِی غَفۡلَةࣲ مُّعۡرِضُونَ ۝١
Ahmed Hulusi
The time for the people to see the consequences of their deeds has drawn near! Yet they are in a heedless state within their cocoons!
iq'taraba lilnnāsi ḥisābuhum wahum fī ghaflatin muʿ'riḍūn
21:2 ›
مَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن ذِكۡرࣲ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسۡتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمۡ یَلۡعَبُونَ ۝٢
Ahmed Hulusi
They listen to every new admonition from their Rabb in mockery!
mā yatīhim min dhik'rin min rabbihim muḥ'dathin illā is'tamaʿūhu wahum yalʿabūn
21:3 ›
لَاهِیَةࣰ قُلُوبُهُمۡۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجۡوَى ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ هَلۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُكُمۡۖ أَفَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلسِّحۡرَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٣
Ahmed Hulusi
They are consumed by entertainment! Those who wrong themselves whisper among one another, “Is he not a mortal like you? Will you succumb to his magical words when you can see the truth of it?”
lāhiyatan qulūbuhum wa-asarrū l-najwā alladhīna ẓalamū hal hādhā illā basharun mith'lukum afatatūna l-siḥ'ra wa-antum tub'ṣirūn
21:4 ›
قَالَ رَبِّی یَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٤
Ahmed Hulusi
(Rasulullah saw) says, “My Rabb knows what is spoken in the heavens and the earth... He is the Sami and the Aleem.”
qāla rabbī yaʿlamu l-qawla fī l-samāi wal-arḍi wahuwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm
21:5 ›
بَلۡ قَالُوۤا۟ أَضۡغَـٰثُ أَحۡلَـٰمِۭ بَلِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُ بَلۡ هُوَ شَاعِرࣱ فَلۡیَأۡتِنَا بِءَایَةࣲ كَمَاۤ أُرۡسِلَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝٥
Ahmed Hulusi
And they say, “He only talks of delusive dreams! He is probably making them up... No, he is a poet! (If this isn’t the case, then) let him show his miracle as did the Rasuls before him!”
bal qālū aḍghāthu aḥlāmin bali if'tarāhu bal huwa shāʿirun falyatinā biāyatin kamā ur'sila l-awalūn
21:6 ›
مَاۤ ءَامَنَتۡ قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡیَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهَاۤۖ أَفَهُمۡ یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٦
Ahmed Hulusi
None of the people of the cities We destroyed before them had believed... So, how will these believe?
mā āmanat qablahum min qaryatin ahlaknāhā afahum yu'minūn
21:7 ›
وَمَاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَكَ إِلَّا رِجَالࣰا نُّوحِیۤ إِلَیۡهِمۡۖ فَسۡءَلُوۤا۟ أَهۡلَ ٱلذِّكۡرِ إِن كُنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٧
Ahmed Hulusi
And We did not disclose anyone to them with a revelation before you, other than men... If you do not know, then ask those who possess knowledge of the past.
wamā arsalnā qablaka illā rijālan nūḥī ilayhim fasalū ahla l-dhik'ri in kuntum lā taʿlamūn
21:8 ›
وَمَا جَعَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ جَسَدࣰا لَّا یَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَـٰلِدِینَ ۝٨
Ahmed Hulusi
And We did not form them (the Nabis and Rasuls) with bodies that did not need any food! Nor were they to live forever!
wamā jaʿalnāhum jasadan lā yakulūna l-ṭaʿāma wamā kānū khālidīn
21:9 ›
ثُمَّ صَدَقۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡوَعۡدَ فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَمَن نَّشَاۤءُ وَأَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ۝٩
Ahmed Hulusi
Then We fulfilled Our promise to them and We saved them and those We willed to save, and destroyed those who exceeded their bounds.
thumma ṣadaqnāhumu l-waʿda fa-anjaynāhum waman nashāu wa-ahlaknā l-mus'rifīn
21:10 ›
لَقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡ كِتَـٰبࣰا فِیهِ ذِكۡرُكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, We have revealed Knowledge to you in which there is remembrance (of your essential reality) for you! Do you not understand?
laqad anzalnā ilaykum kitāban fīhi dhik'rukum afalā taʿqilūn
2 Truth triumphed always
21:11 ›
وَكَمۡ قَصَمۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةࣲ كَانَتۡ ظَالِمَةࣰ وَأَنشَأۡنَا بَعۡدَهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِینَ ۝١١
Ahmed Hulusi
We have destroyed many wrongdoing communities and formed new communities after them.
wakam qaṣamnā min qaryatin kānat ẓālimatan wa-anshanā baʿdahā qawman ākharīn
21:12 ›
فَلَمَّاۤ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأۡسَنَاۤ إِذَا هُم مِّنۡهَا یَرۡكُضُونَ ۝١٢
Ahmed Hulusi
When they feel Our intensity, behold, they begin to flee!
falammā aḥassū basanā idhā hum min'hā yarkuḍūn
21:13 ›
لَا تَرۡكُضُوا۟ وَٱرۡجِعُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَاۤ أُتۡرِفۡتُمۡ فِیهِ وَمَسَـٰكِنِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُسۡءَلُونَ ۝١٣
Ahmed Hulusi
“Do not flee, but turn back to the places in which you became spoilt so that you may be questioned.”
lā tarkuḍū wa-ir'jiʿū ilā mā ut'rif'tum fīhi wamasākinikum laʿallakum tus'alūn
21:14 ›
قَالُوا۟ یَـٰوَیۡلَنَاۤ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٤
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Woe to us! We have indeed become wrongdoers!”
qālū yāwaylanā innā kunnā ẓālimīn
21:15 ›
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلۡكَ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ حَصِیدًا خَـٰمِدِینَ ۝١٥
Ahmed Hulusi
And they continued to argue... Until We turned them into mowed crop and extinguished fire.
famā zālat til'ka daʿwāhum ḥattā jaʿalnāhum ḥaṣīdan khāmidīn
21:16 ›
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِینَ ۝١٦
Ahmed Hulusi
And We did not create the heaven and the earth and everything in between them as a game (they have great functions)!
wamā khalaqnā l-samāa wal-arḍa wamā baynahumā lāʿibīn
21:17 ›
لَوۡ أَرَدۡنَاۤ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهۡوࣰا لَّٱتَّخَذۡنَـٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّاۤ إِن كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِینَ ۝١٧
Ahmed Hulusi
If Our wish was to create games and entertainment, surely We would have done so from within Our Own ladun. But this isn’t what We do!
law aradnā an nattakhidha lahwan la-ittakhadhnāhu min ladunnā in kunnā fāʿilīn
21:18 ›
بَلۡ نَقۡذِفُ بِٱلۡحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ فَیَدۡمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقࣱۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلۡوَیۡلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ ۝١٨
Ahmed Hulusi
On the contrary, We bring the Truth (the reality) down upon falsity (delusive ideas) and crush to pieces its system of thought... And behold, it will be destroyed and gone... Woe to you for the things you describe!
bal naqdhifu bil-ḥaqi ʿalā l-bāṭili fayadmaghuhu fa-idhā huwa zāhiqun walakumu l-waylu mimmā taṣifūn
21:19 ›
وَلَهُۥ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَمَنۡ عِندَهُۥ لَا یَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ عَنۡ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا یَسۡتَحۡسِرُونَ ۝١٩
Ahmed Hulusi
And whoever is in the heavens and the earth is for Him (to manifest His Names)! And those who are with Him are neither egotistic nor full of selfimportance, nor do they grow weary!
walahu man fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi waman ʿindahu lā yastakbirūna ʿan ʿibādatihi walā yastaḥsirūn
21:20 ›
یُسَبِّحُونَ ٱلَّیۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ لَا یَفۡتُرُونَ ۝٢٠
Ahmed Hulusi
The night and the day they glorify (tasbih) Him (by fulfilling their creational purpose) continually!
yusabbiḥūna al-layla wal-nahāra lā yafturūn
21:21 ›
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوۤا۟ ءَالِهَةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ هُمۡ یُنشِرُونَ ۝٢١
Ahmed Hulusi
Or have they taken deities on earth who can bring to life (enable the experience of one’s essential reality) those who are dead in their grave (unaware of the consciousness in their body)?
ami ittakhadhū ālihatan mina l-arḍi hum yunshirūn
21:22 ›
لَوۡ كَانَ فِیهِمَاۤ ءَالِهَةٌ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَاۚ فَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ عَمَّا یَصِفُونَ ۝٢٢
Ahmed Hulusi
Had there been within both (the heavens and the earth) gods besides Allah, surely this system would have lost its order. Allah, the Rabb of the Throne, is beyond the definitions they attribute to Him.
law kāna fīhimā ālihatun illā l-lahu lafasadatā fasub'ḥāna l-lahi rabbi l-ʿarshi ʿammā yaṣifūn
21:23 ›
لَا یُسۡءَلُ عَمَّا یَفۡعَلُ وَهُمۡ یُسۡءَلُونَ ۝٢٣
Ahmed Hulusi
He is not questioned (called to account) for what He does! But they will be questioned (they will live the consequences of their actions)!
lā yus'alu ʿammā yafʿalu wahum yus'alūn
21:24 ›
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ ءَالِهَةࣰۖ قُلۡ هَاتُوا۟ بُرۡهَـٰنَكُمۡۖ هَـٰذَا ذِكۡرُ مَن مَّعِیَ وَذِكۡرُ مَن قَبۡلِیۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ٱلۡحَقَّۖ فَهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ۝٢٤
Ahmed Hulusi
Or have they taken deities besides Him? Say, “Bring your proofs! This (“La ilaha illa Allah”) is the reminder (of the reality) of those who are with me and the reminder (of the reality) of those before me... No, most of them do not know the Truth... and thus they turn away.
ami ittakhadhū min dūnihi ālihatan qul hātū bur'hānakum hādhā dhik'ru man maʿiya wadhik'ru man qablī bal aktharuhum lā yaʿlamūna l-ḥaqa fahum muʿ'riḍūn
21:25 ›
وَمَاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِیۤ إِلَیۡهِ أَنَّهُۥ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّاۤ أَنَا۠ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ ۝٢٥
Ahmed Hulusi
And We have not disclosed any Rasul before you to whom We have not revealed, “There is no deity-god, only Me! So, become aware of your servitude to Me.”
wamā arsalnā min qablika min rasūlin illā nūḥī ilayhi annahu lā ilāha illā anā fa-uʿ'budūn
21:26 ›
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَلَدࣰاۗ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥۚ بَلۡ عِبَادࣱ مُّكۡرَمُونَ ۝٢٦
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Rahman has taken a son”! Subhan He is! On the contrary, they (Jesus and the angels who they claim to be Allah’s daughters) are His honored servants.
waqālū ittakhadha l-raḥmānu waladan sub'ḥānahu bal ʿibādun muk'ramūn
21:27 ›
لَا یَسۡبِقُونَهُۥ بِٱلۡقَوۡلِ وَهُم بِأَمۡرِهِۦ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٧
Ahmed Hulusi
Their word does not get ahead of His command! They fulfill His command.
lā yasbiqūnahu bil-qawli wahum bi-amrihi yaʿmalūn
21:28 ›
یَعۡلَمُ مَا بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ وَلَا یَشۡفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ٱرۡتَضَىٰ وَهُم مِّنۡ خَشۡیَتِهِۦ مُشۡفِقُونَ ۝٢٨
Ahmed Hulusi
He knows what is before them and behind them... They only intercede for those who have attained His pleasure... They shiver in awe of Him.
yaʿlamu mā bayna aydīhim wamā khalfahum walā yashfaʿūna illā limani ir'taḍā wahum min khashyatihi mush'fiqūn
21:29 ›
۞ وَمَن یَقُلۡ مِنۡهُمۡ إِنِّیۤ إِلَـٰهࣱ مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِیهِ جَهَنَّمَۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٢٩
Ahmed Hulusi
Whoever among them says, “I am a god besides Him,” We will make him live the consequence of this as Hell. Thus will be the result to which we will subject the wrongdoers.
waman yaqul min'hum innī ilāhun min dūnihi fadhālika najzīhi jahannama kadhālika najzī l-ẓālimīn
3 Truth of Revelation
21:30 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ كَانَتَا رَتۡقࣰا فَفَتَقۡنَـٰهُمَاۖ وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمَاۤءِ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍ حَیٍّۚ أَفَلَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٣٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Do those who deny the knowledge of the reality not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (at the sub-atomic level) and We separated them (through densified levels of perception). We have created every living thing from water (H2O)... Do they still not believe?
awalam yara alladhīna kafarū anna l-samāwāti wal-arḍa kānatā ratqan fafataqnāhumā wajaʿalnā mina l-māi kulla shayin ḥayyin afalā yu'minūn
21:31 ›
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَوَ ٰسِیَ أَن تَمِیدَ بِهِمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا فِجَاجࣰا سُبُلࣰا لَّعَلَّهُمۡ یَهۡتَدُونَ ۝٣١
Ahmed Hulusi
And We set firm mountains upon the earth (the organs in the body)... And placed wide pathways between the mountains so that they find the right way.
wajaʿalnā fī l-arḍi rawāsiya an tamīda bihim wajaʿalnā fīhā fijājan subulan laʿallahum yahtadūn
21:32 ›
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ سَقۡفࣰا مَّحۡفُوظࣰاۖ وَهُمۡ عَنۡ ءَایَـٰتِهَا مُعۡرِضُونَ ۝٣٢
Ahmed Hulusi
And We made the sky a protected ceiling... But they disregard His signs.
wajaʿalnā l-samāa saqfan maḥfūẓan wahum ʿan āyātihā muʿ'riḍūn
21:33 ›
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلَّیۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلࣱّ فِی فَلَكࣲ یَسۡبَحُونَ ۝٣٣
Ahmed Hulusi
It is HU who has created the night, the day, the Sun and the Moon. Each traverses its own orbit (in the ocean of waves – energy)!
wahuwa alladhī khalaqa al-layla wal-nahāra wal-shamsa wal-qamara kullun fī falakin yasbaḥūn
21:34 ›
وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا لِبَشَرࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ ٱلۡخُلۡدَۖ أَفَإِی۟ن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِدُونَ ۝٣٤
Ahmed Hulusi
And We have not granted eternal life to any human before you! Can it be possible that you die and they live forever?
wamā jaʿalnā libasharin min qablika l-khul'da afa-in mitta fahumu l-khālidūn
21:35 ›
كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۗ وَنَبۡلُوكُم بِٱلشَّرِّ وَٱلۡخَیۡرِ فِتۡنَةࣰۖ وَإِلَیۡنَا تُرۡجَعُونَ ۝٣٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Every soul (consciousness) will TASTE death! We test you with the good and the bad so that you discover the forces within yourself... And to Us you will be returned.
kullu nafsin dhāiqatu l-mawti wanablūkum bil-shari wal-khayri fit'natan wa-ilaynā tur'jaʿūn
21:36 ›
وَإِذَا رَءَاكَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِن یَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی یَذۡكُرُ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَهُم بِذِكۡرِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ هُمۡ كَـٰفِرُونَ ۝٣٦
Ahmed Hulusi
When those who deny the knowledge of the reality see you, all they can do is belittle you by saying, “Is this the one who talks of your gods!” Yet, when they are reminded of the Rahmaniyyah of their essence, they deny it!
wa-idhā raāka alladhīna kafarū in yattakhidhūnaka illā huzuwan ahādhā alladhī yadhkuru ālihatakum wahum bidhik'ri l-raḥmāni hum kāfirūn
21:37 ›
خُلِقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ مِنۡ عَجَلࣲۚ سَأُو۟رِیكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِی فَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ ۝٣٧
Ahmed Hulusi
Man has been created as one who wants immediate results (hasty)! I will show you My Signs (and what they mean) soon... But do not be hasty (for their formation)!
khuliqa l-insānu min ʿajalin sa-urīkum āyātī falā tastaʿjilūn
21:38 ›
وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٣٨
Ahmed Hulusi
They say, “If what you say is true, when will this promise be fulfilled?”
wayaqūlūna matā hādhā l-waʿdu in kuntum ṣādiqīn
21:39 ›
لَوۡ یَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ حِینَ لَا یَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یُنصَرُونَ ۝٣٩
Ahmed Hulusi
If only those who deny the knowledge of the reality knew the time when they would not be able to ward off the fire neither from their faces (their internal world) nor from their backs (their external world); if only they knew the time when they will not be helped!
law yaʿlamu alladhīna kafarū ḥīna lā yakuffūna ʿan wujūhihimu l-nāra walā ʿan ẓuhūrihim walā hum yunṣarūn
21:40 ›
بَلۡ تَأۡتِیهِم بَغۡتَةࣰ فَتَبۡهَتُهُمۡ فَلَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمۡ یُنظَرُونَ ۝٤٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Rather, it (the fulfillment of the promise through death, the disconnection caused by the loss of life in the body) will come to them suddenly and confound them! And they will neither have the power to ward it off nor will they be reprieved.
bal tatīhim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falā yastaṭīʿūna raddahā walā hum yunẓarūn
21:41 ›
وَلَقَدِ ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ بِرُسُلࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِینَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٤١
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, Rasuls that came before you were also mocked, but those who mocked were engulfed by all sides by the very thing they belittled.
walaqadi us'tuh'zi-a birusulin min qablika faḥāqa bi-alladhīna sakhirū min'hum mā kānū bihi yastahziūn
4 Allah deals Mercifully
21:42 ›
قُلۡ مَن یَكۡلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ۝٤٢
Ahmed Hulusi
Say, “Who, in your night and day, will protect you from the Rahman (the suffering that results from not fulfilling the requirements of the qualities pertaining to the Rahman quality in your essence)?” No, they turn away from the remembrance (dhikr) of their Rabb!
qul man yakla-ukum bi-al-layli wal-nahāri mina l-raḥmāni bal hum ʿan dhik'ri rabbihim muʿ'riḍūn
21:43 ›
أَمۡ لَهُمۡ ءَالِهَةࣱ تَمۡنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَاۚ لَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ نَصۡرَ أَنفُسِهِمۡ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا یُصۡحَبُونَ ۝٤٣
Ahmed Hulusi
Or do they have deity-gods besides Us who will protect them? Whereas they (their assumed gods) neither have the power to help themselves, nor will they be supported by Us.
am lahum ālihatun tamnaʿuhum min dūninā lā yastaṭīʿūna naṣra anfusihim walā hum minnā yuṣ'ḥabūn
21:44 ›
بَلۡ مَتَّعۡنَا هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ وَءَابَاۤءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡعُمُرُۗ أَفَلَا یَرَوۡنَ أَنَّا نَأۡتِی ٱلۡأَرۡضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنۡ أَطۡرَافِهَاۤۚ أَفَهُمُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبُونَ ۝٤٤
Ahmed Hulusi
No, We allowed them and their forefathers to benefit (from the blessings of this world). To such extent that their life span seemed too lengthy to them (as though it was never going to end)! Do they not see that We come to the earth (the body) and reduce it from its borders (so that it becomes old and tastes death)... Are they the prevalent ones?
bal mattaʿnā hāulāi waābāahum ḥattā ṭāla ʿalayhimu l-ʿumuru afalā yarawna annā natī l-arḍa nanquṣuhā min aṭrāfihā afahumu l-ghālibūn
21:45 ›
قُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلۡوَحۡیِۚ وَلَا یَسۡمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَاۤءَ إِذَا مَا یُنذَرُونَ ۝٤٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Say, “I am only warning you through the revelation.” But the deaf cannot hear the calling when they are warned!
qul innamā undhirukum bil-waḥyi walā yasmaʿu l-ṣumu l-duʿāa idhā mā yundharūn
21:46 ›
وَلَىِٕن مَّسَّتۡهُمۡ نَفۡحَةࣱ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَیَقُولُنَّ یَـٰوَیۡلَنَاۤ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٤٦
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, if only a waft of the suffering touched them from their Rabb, they would say, “Woe to us! We were indeed wrongdoers.”
wala-in massathum nafḥatun min ʿadhābi rabbika layaqūlunna yāwaylanā innā kunnā ẓālimīn
21:47 ›
وَنَضَعُ ٱلۡمَوَ ٰزِینَ ٱلۡقِسۡطَ لِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظۡلَمُ نَفۡسࣱ شَیۡءࣰاۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثۡقَالَ حَبَّةࣲ مِّنۡ خَرۡدَلٍ أَتَیۡنَا بِهَاۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَـٰسِبِینَ ۝٤٧
Ahmed Hulusi
We shall set up scales according to the measures of Uluhiyyah during the Doomsday period! No being (individual consciousness; sense of self) shall be wronged in the least. We will weigh even an action as little as a grain of mustard. We (the quality of Hasib in one’s essence) are sufficient as reckoners.
wanaḍaʿu l-mawāzīna l-qis'ṭa liyawmi l-qiyāmati falā tuẓ'lamu nafsun shayan wa-in kāna mith'qāla ḥabbatin min khardalin ataynā bihā wakafā binā ḥāsibīn
21:48 ›
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَ وَضِیَاۤءࣰ وَذِكۡرࣰا لِّلۡمُتَّقِینَ ۝٤٨
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, to Moses and Aaron We gave the Furqan (the ability and knowledge to differentiate the right from the wrong) as light and as a reminder for those who want to be protected.
walaqad ātaynā mūsā wahārūna l-fur'qāna waḍiyāan wadhik'ran lil'muttaqīn
21:49 ›
ٱلَّذِینَ یَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ مُشۡفِقُونَ ۝٤٩
Ahmed Hulusi
Those who are in awe of their Rabb... And who tremble from that Hour.
alladhīna yakhshawna rabbahum bil-ghaybi wahum mina l-sāʿati mush'fiqūn
21:50 ›
وَهَـٰذَا ذِكۡرࣱ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُۚ أَفَأَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ ۝٥٠
Ahmed Hulusi
And this, what We reveal, is a blessed reminder! Are you deniers of it?
wahādhā dhik'run mubārakun anzalnāhu afa-antum lahu munkirūn
5 Abraham — Allah always delivers Prophets
21:51 ›
۞ وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ رُشۡدَهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِۦ عَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٥١
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, We gave maturity (mature thought – the quality of being a Hanif) to Abraham before this... And We knew him well.
walaqad ātaynā ib'rāhīma rush'dahu min qablu wakunnā bihi ʿālimīn
21:52 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلتَّمَاثِیلُ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَنتُمۡ لَهَا عَـٰكِفُونَ ۝٥٢
Ahmed Hulusi
When he (Abraham) asked his father and people, “What are these statues that you worship?”
idh qāla li-abīhi waqawmihi mā hādhihi l-tamāthīlu allatī antum lahā ʿākifūn
21:53 ›
قَالُوا۟ وَجَدۡنَاۤ ءَابَاۤءَنَا لَهَا عَـٰبِدِینَ ۝٥٣
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “We saw our fathers worship them (so we are imitating them).”
qālū wajadnā ābāanā lahā ʿābidīn
21:54 ›
قَالَ لَقَدۡ كُنتُمۡ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَاۤؤُكُمۡ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٥٤
Ahmed Hulusi
(Abraham) said, “Indeed, you and your fathers have been clearly misguided!”
qāla laqad kuntum antum waābāukum fī ḍalālin mubīni
21:55 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ أَجِئۡتَنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ أَمۡ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّـٰعِبِینَ ۝٥٥
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Have you come to us as the Truth or are you playing us?”
qālū aji'tanā bil-ḥaqi am anta mina l-lāʿibīn
21:56 ›
قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمۡ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّذِی فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا۠ عَلَىٰ ذَ ٰلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِینَ ۝٥٦
Ahmed Hulusi
(Abraham) said, “No (this is not a game)! Your Rabb is the Rabb of the heavens and the earth, who created them with a specific function and system! And I bear witness to that.”
qāla bal rabbukum rabbu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi alladhī faṭarahunna wa-anā ʿalā dhālikum mina l-shāhidīn
21:57 ›
وَتَٱللَّهِ لَأَكِیدَنَّ أَصۡنَـٰمَكُم بَعۡدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا۟ مُدۡبِرِینَ ۝٥٧
Ahmed Hulusi
“By Allah, when you turn your backs and go, I will definitely devise a trap for your idols.”
watal-lahi la-akīdanna aṣnāmakum baʿda an tuwallū mud'birīn
21:58 ›
فَجَعَلَهُمۡ جُذَ ٰذًا إِلَّا كَبِیرࣰا لَّهُمۡ لَعَلَّهُمۡ إِلَیۡهِ یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٥٨
Ahmed Hulusi
So (Abraham) broke all of them into pieces except the biggest one of them, in case they wanted to resort to him for enquiry.
fajaʿalahum judhādhan illā kabīran lahum laʿallahum ilayhi yarjiʿūn
21:59 ›
قَالُوا۟ مَن فَعَلَ هَـٰذَا بِءَالِهَتِنَاۤ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٥٩
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Whoever has done this to our deities is surely a wrongdoer.”
qālū man faʿala hādhā biālihatinā innahu lamina l-ẓālimīn
21:60 ›
قَالُوا۟ سَمِعۡنَا فَتࣰى یَذۡكُرُهُمۡ یُقَالُ لَهُۥۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُ ۝٦٠
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “We had heard about a young man called Abraham talking about (the invalidity of) them.”
qālū samiʿ'nā fatan yadhkuruhum yuqālu lahu ib'rāhīm
21:61 ›
قَالُوا۟ فَأۡتُوا۟ بِهِۦ عَلَىٰۤ أَعۡیُنِ ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَشۡهَدُونَ ۝٦١
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Seize him and bring him here in front of all the people so that everyone may bear witness to this.”
qālū fatū bihi ʿalā aʿyuni l-nāsi laʿallahum yashhadūn
21:62 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ ءَأَنتَ فَعَلۡتَ هَـٰذَا بِءَالِهَتِنَا یَـٰۤإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُ ۝٦٢
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Was it you, O Abraham, who did this to our gods (statues – idols)?”
qālū a-anta faʿalta hādhā biālihatinā yāib'rāhīm
21:63 ›
قَالَ بَلۡ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِیرُهُمۡ هَـٰذَا فَسۡءَلُوهُمۡ إِن كَانُوا۟ یَنطِقُونَ ۝٦٣
Ahmed Hulusi
(Abraham) said, “No! Rather, it was the biggest one of them who did it. Ask them, if they can actually speak!”
qāla bal faʿalahu kabīruhum hādhā fasalūhum in kānū yanṭiqūn
21:64 ›
فَرَجَعُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ فَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّكُمۡ أَنتُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ۝٦٤
Ahmed Hulusi
After some thought, they said to (one another), “Indeed, it is you, yes you, who is in the wrong.”
farajaʿū ilā anfusihim faqālū innakum antumu l-ẓālimūn
21:65 ›
ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمۡ لَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتَ مَا هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ یَنطِقُونَ ۝٦٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Then, feeling confused, they went back to their previous thought and insisted, “But you know they cannot speak!”
thumma nukisū ʿalā ruūsihim laqad ʿalim'ta mā hāulāi yanṭiqūn
21:66 ›
قَالَ أَفَتَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا یَنفَعُكُمۡ شَیۡءࣰا وَلَا یَضُرُّكُمۡ ۝٦٦
Ahmed Hulusi
(Abraham) said, “So do you worship things besides Allah who can neither give you any benefit nor any harm?”
qāla afataʿbudūna min dūni l-lahi mā lā yanfaʿukum shayan walā yaḍurruku
21:67 ›
أُفࣲّ لَّكُمۡ وَلِمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٦٧
Ahmed Hulusi
“Woe to you! And woe to the things you worship besides Allah! Do you not use your intellect?”
uffin lakum walimā taʿbudūna min dūni l-lahi afalā taʿqilūn
21:68 ›
قَالُوا۟ حَرِّقُوهُ وَٱنصُرُوۤا۟ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَـٰعِلِینَ ۝٦٨
Ahmed Hulusi
They said, “Burn him (Abraham) and support your deities... if you are able to do something (then at least do this much).”
qālū ḥarriqūhu wa-unṣurū ālihatakum in kuntum fāʿilīn
21:69 ›
قُلۡنَا یَـٰنَارُ كُونِی بَرۡدࣰا وَسَلَـٰمًا عَلَىٰۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ۝٦٩
Ahmed Hulusi
We said, “O Fire... Be cool and safe (enable the state of salam) on Abraham!”
qul'nā yānāru kūnī bardan wasalāman ʿalā ib'rāhīm
21:70 ›
وَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَیۡدࣰا فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرِینَ ۝٧٠
Ahmed Hulusi
They wanted to trap him, but We rendered their plan useless!
wa-arādū bihi kaydan fajaʿalnāhumu l-akhsarīn
21:71 ›
وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّتِی بَـٰرَكۡنَا فِیهَا لِلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧١
Ahmed Hulusi
We saved him (Abraham) and Lot, and brought them to the land that We made prosperous for the people.
wanajjaynāhu walūṭan ilā l-arḍi allatī bāraknā fīhā lil'ʿālamīn
21:72 ›
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥۤ إِسۡحَـٰقَ وَیَعۡقُوبَ نَافِلَةࣰۖ وَكُلࣰّا جَعَلۡنَا صَـٰلِحِینَ ۝٧٢
Ahmed Hulusi
We bestowed him with Isaac and also gave him Jacob, and made all of them righteous.
wawahabnā lahu is'ḥāqa wayaʿqūba nāfilatan wakullan jaʿalnā ṣāliḥīn
21:73 ›
وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ أَىِٕمَّةࣰ یَهۡدُونَ بِأَمۡرِنَا وَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِمۡ فِعۡلَ ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِ وَإِقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِیتَاۤءَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا عَـٰبِدِینَ ۝٧٣
Ahmed Hulusi
We made them leaders who guided people to the reality by Our command. We revealed to them the doing of good, observance of prayer and the giving of alms... They were aware of their servitude.
wajaʿalnāhum a-immatan yahdūna bi-amrinā wa-awḥaynā ilayhim fiʿ'la l-khayrāti wa-iqāma l-ṣalati waītāa l-zakati wakānū lanā ʿābidīn
21:74 ›
وَلُوطًا ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ حُكۡمࣰا وَعِلۡمࣰا وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلۡقَرۡیَةِ ٱلَّتِی كَانَت تَّعۡمَلُ ٱلۡخَبَـٰۤىِٕثَۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَوۡمَ سَوۡءࣲ فَـٰسِقِینَ ۝٧٤
Ahmed Hulusi
As for Lot, We gave him judgment and knowledge... And We saved him from that city in which bad deeds were practiced... Indeed, they were bad people with corrupted beliefs.
walūṭan ātaynāhu ḥuk'man waʿil'man wanajjaynāhu mina l-qaryati allatī kānat taʿmalu l-khabāitha innahum kānū qawma sawin fāsiqīn
21:75 ›
وَأَدۡخَلۡنَـٰهُ فِی رَحۡمَتِنَاۤۖ إِنَّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝٧٥
Ahmed Hulusi
We admitted him into Our grace... Indeed, he was of the righteous.
wa-adkhalnāhu fī raḥmatinā innahu mina l-ṣāliḥīn
6 Righteous will inherit land
21:76 ›
وَنُوحًا إِذۡ نَادَىٰ مِن قَبۡلُ فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ فَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٧٦
Ahmed Hulusi
And Noah... He had turned to us before and We responded to him, and saved him and his people from that great distress.
wanūḥan idh nādā min qablu fa-is'tajabnā lahu fanajjaynāhu wa-ahlahu mina l-karbi l-ʿaẓīm
21:77 ›
وَنَصَرۡنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَوۡمَ سَوۡءࣲ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٧٧
Ahmed Hulusi
We had helped him against the people who denied Our signs... Indeed, they were a bad people... So, We drowned them all.
wanaṣarnāhu mina l-qawmi alladhīna kadhabū biāyātinā innahum kānū qawma sawin fa-aghraqnāhum ajmaʿīn
21:78 ›
وَدَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ إِذۡ یَحۡكُمَانِ فِی ٱلۡحَرۡثِ إِذۡ نَفَشَتۡ فِیهِ غَنَمُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكۡمِهِمۡ شَـٰهِدِینَ ۝٧٨
Ahmed Hulusi
And remember David and Solomon too... How the two of them both made a judgment concerning the field and how the sheep of the people strayed into the field (and grazed at night)... We were witnesses to their judgment.
wadāwūda wasulaymāna idh yaḥkumāni fī l-ḥarthi idh nafashat fīhi ghanamu l-qawmi wakunnā liḥuk'mihim shāhidīn
21:79 ›
فَفَهَّمۡنَـٰهَا سُلَیۡمَـٰنَۚ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَیۡنَا حُكۡمࣰا وَعِلۡمࣰاۚ وَسَخَّرۡنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلۡجِبَالَ یُسَبِّحۡنَ وَٱلطَّیۡرَۚ وَكُنَّا فَـٰعِلِینَ ۝٧٩
Ahmed Hulusi
We gave Solomon the right understanding of the matter! To each of them We gave judgment and knowledge. While David engaged in Our glorification (tasbih), We gave the mountains and the birds to his service. We were the doers.
fafahhamnāhā sulaymāna wakullan ātaynā ḥuk'man waʿil'man wasakharnā maʿa dāwūda l-jibāla yusabbiḥ'na wal-ṭayra wakunnā fāʿilīn
21:80 ›
وَعَلَّمۡنَـٰهُ صَنۡعَةَ لَبُوسࣲ لَّكُمۡ لِتُحۡصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأۡسِكُمۡۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُمۡ شَـٰكِرُونَ ۝٨٠
Ahmed Hulusi
We taught (David) the art of making shields to protect you in battle... Do you give thanks now?
waʿallamnāhu ṣanʿata labūsin lakum lituḥ'ṣinakum min basikum fahal antum shākirūn
21:81 ›
وَلِسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ ٱلرِّیحَ عَاصِفَةࣰ تَجۡرِی بِأَمۡرِهِۦۤ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّتِی بَـٰرَكۡنَا فِیهَاۚ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٨١
Ahmed Hulusi
And We subjected the storm to Solomon... Which blew with his command towards the land that bestowed prosperity! For it is We who have knowledge of all things.
walisulaymāna l-rīḥa ʿāṣifatan tajrī bi-amrihi ilā l-arḍi allatī bāraknā fīhā wakunnā bikulli shayin ʿālimīn
21:82 ›
وَمِنَ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینِ مَن یَغُوصُونَ لَهُۥ وَیَعۡمَلُونَ عَمَلࣰا دُونَ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَكُنَّا لَهُمۡ حَـٰفِظِینَ ۝٨٢
Ahmed Hulusi
And there were also devils in his (Solomon’s) service (entities that served him), who dived to the depths of the sea for him and performed other tasks... We kept a watch over them.
wamina l-shayāṭīni man yaghūṣūna lahu wayaʿmalūna ʿamalan dūna dhālika wakunnā lahum ḥāfiẓīn
21:83 ›
۞ وَأَیُّوبَ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥۤ أَنِّی مَسَّنِیَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرۡحَمُ ٱلرَّ ٰحِمِینَ ۝٨٣
Ahmed Hulusi
And remember when Job said to his Rabb, “Indeed, this ailment has thoroughly exhausted me and You are the most Rahim of the Rahim (the One who manifests the infinite qualities of your Names with Your grace [arhamurrahimeen]).”
wa-ayyūba idh nādā rabbahu annī massaniya l-ḍuru wa-anta arḥamu l-rāḥimīn
21:84 ›
فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ فَكَشَفۡنَا مَا بِهِۦ مِن ضُرࣲّۖ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ أَهۡلَهُۥ وَمِثۡلَهُم مَّعَهُمۡ رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنۡ عِندِنَا وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡعَـٰبِدِینَ ۝٨٤
Ahmed Hulusi
So We responded to him and saved him from his ailment... And, as an act of Our grace and a reminder for the worshippers (who fulfill the required practices until they attain the state of certainty), We gave his people and the like of them to him.
fa-is'tajabnā lahu fakashafnā mā bihi min ḍurrin waātaynāhu ahlahu wamith'lahum maʿahum raḥmatan min ʿindinā wadhik'rā lil'ʿābidīn
21:85 ›
وَإِسۡمَـٰعِیلَ وَإِدۡرِیسَ وَذَا ٱلۡكِفۡلِۖ كُلࣱّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِینَ ۝٨٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Ishmael, Idris, Dhul Kifl... They were all patient.
wa-is'māʿīla wa-id'rīsa wadhā l-kif'li kullun mina l-ṣābirīn
21:86 ›
وَأَدۡخَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ فِی رَحۡمَتِنَاۤۖ إِنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝٨٦
Ahmed Hulusi
We admitted them into Our grace... Indeed, they were among the righteous.
wa-adkhalnāhum fī raḥmatinā innahum mina l-ṣāliḥīn
21:87 ›
وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَـٰضِبࣰا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقۡدِرَ عَلَیۡهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِی ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ أَن لَّاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّاۤ أَنتَ سُبۡحَـٰنَكَ إِنِّی كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٨٧
Ahmed Hulusi
And Jonah... Remember how he went away in anger thinking We would not try him! Then he cried out in darkness, “There is no deity-god (there is no ‘me’) only You (the Names comprising my essential reality)! I glorify You (through my function that manifests your Names)! Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
wadhā l-nūni idh dhahaba mughāḍiban faẓanna an lan naqdira ʿalayhi fanādā fī l-ẓulumāti an lā ilāha illā anta sub'ḥānaka innī kuntu mina l-ẓālimīn
21:88 ›
فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَمِّۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُۨجِی ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨٨
Ahmed Hulusi
So We responded to him and saved him from the distress in which he had fallen! Thus We save the believers.
fa-is'tajabnā lahu wanajjaynāhu mina l-ghami wakadhālika nunjī l-mu'minīn
21:89 ›
وَزَكَرِیَّاۤ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرۡنِی فَرۡدࣰا وَأَنتَ خَیۡرُ ٱلۡوَ ٰرِثِینَ ۝٨٩
Ahmed Hulusi
And mention Zechariah when he called out to his Rabb, “My Rabb... Do not leave me on my own in life (grant me an heir)! You are the best of heirs.”
wazakariyyā idh nādā rabbahu rabbi lā tadharnī fardan wa-anta khayru l-wārithīn
21:90 ›
فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ یَحۡیَىٰ وَأَصۡلَحۡنَا لَهُۥ زَوۡجَهُۥۤۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِ وَیَدۡعُونَنَا رَغَبࣰا وَرَهَبࣰاۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَـٰشِعِینَ ۝٩٠
Ahmed Hulusi
So We responded to him and bestowed him with John and made his wife fit to bear a child... They used to hasten to do good and pray to Us in hope and fear; they were in awe.
fa-is'tajabnā lahu wawahabnā lahu yaḥyā wa-aṣlaḥnā lahu zawjahu innahum kānū yusāriʿūna fī l-khayrāti wayadʿūnanā raghaban warahaban wakānū lanā khāshiʿīn
21:91 ›
وَٱلَّتِیۤ أَحۡصَنَتۡ فَرۡجَهَا فَنَفَخۡنَا فِیهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهَا وَٱبۡنَهَاۤ ءَایَةࣰ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٩١
Ahmed Hulusi
And the one who guarded her chastity (Mary)... We breathed Our Spirit into her (the embryo in her womb – like the creation of Adam) (We created Jesus [a form of consciousness] by manifesting the special meanings of some of Our Names)... We made her and her son a sign for all the worlds.
wa-allatī aḥṣanat farjahā fanafakhnā fīhā min rūḥinā wajaʿalnāhā wa-ib'nahā āyatan lil'ʿālamīn
21:92 ›
إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُونِ ۝٩٢
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, this community of yours in one community! And I am your Rabb! So become aware of your servitude to Me!
inna hādhihi ummatukum ummatan wāḥidatan wa-anā rabbukum fa-uʿ'budūn
21:93 ›
وَتَقَطَّعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَهُم بَیۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلٌّ إِلَیۡنَا رَ ٰجِعُونَ ۝٩٣
Ahmed Hulusi
But they divided their affairs (the understanding of religion and the system) into factions... To Us they shall all return.
wataqaṭṭaʿū amrahum baynahum kullun ilaynā rājiʿūn
7 Allah always delivers Prophets
21:94 ›
فَمَن یَعۡمَلۡ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنࣱ فَلَا كُفۡرَانَ لِسَعۡیِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَـٰتِبُونَ ۝٩٤
Ahmed Hulusi
Whoever put forth a beneficial deed, as a believer, will receive the return of his deed! We record all of them!
faman yaʿmal mina l-ṣāliḥāti wahuwa mu'minun falā kuf'rāna lisaʿyihi wa-innā lahu kātibūn
21:95 ›
وَحَرَ ٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرۡیَةٍ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهَاۤ أَنَّهُمۡ لَا یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٩٥
Ahmed Hulusi
There is a prohibition on any city that We have destroyed; they shall not return!
waḥarāmun ʿalā qaryatin ahlaknāhā annahum lā yarjiʿūn
21:96 ›
حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا فُتِحَتۡ یَأۡجُوجُ وَمَأۡجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبࣲ یَنسِلُونَ ۝٩٦
Ahmed Hulusi
But when the doors of Gog and Magog are opened, they will rapidly descend from every elevated place (perhaps spaceships)!
ḥattā idhā futiḥat yajūju wamajūju wahum min kulli ḥadabin yansilūn
21:97 ›
وَٱقۡتَرَبَ ٱلۡوَعۡدُ ٱلۡحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِیَ شَـٰخِصَةٌ أَبۡصَـٰرُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ یَـٰوَیۡلَنَا قَدۡ كُنَّا فِی غَفۡلَةࣲ مِّنۡ هَـٰذَا بَلۡ كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٩٧
Ahmed Hulusi
When death draws near, behold, those who denied the knowledge of the reality will stare in horror! Woe to us! We were indeed living in our cocoon world (unaware of this reality)! No, we were indeed wrongdoers.”
wa-iq'taraba l-waʿdu l-ḥaqu fa-idhā hiya shākhiṣatun abṣāru alladhīna kafarū yāwaylanā qad kunnā fī ghaflatin min hādhā bal kunnā ẓālimīn
21:98 ›
إِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمۡ لَهَا وَ ٰرِدُونَ ۝٩٨
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, you and the things you worshipped besides Allah will be fuel for the fire of hell! You will arrive there!
innakum wamā taʿbudūna min dūni l-lahi ḥaṣabu jahannama antum lahā wāridūn
21:99 ›
لَوۡ كَانَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ ءَالِهَةࣰ مَّا وَرَدُوهَاۖ وَكُلࣱّ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝٩٩
Ahmed Hulusi
If they had really been gods they would not have entered therein! But they will all remain there forever.
law kāna hāulāi ālihatan mā waradūhā wakullun fīhā khālidūn
21:100 ›
لَهُمۡ فِیهَا زَفِیرࣱ وَهُمۡ فِیهَا لَا یَسۡمَعُونَ ۝١٠٠
Ahmed Hulusi
There will be intense stertorous moaning there for them and they will not hear anything else (as a result of their deafness to the reality in the world)!
lahum fīhā zafīrun wahum fīhā lā yasmaʿūn
21:101 ›
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ سَبَقَتۡ لَهُم مِّنَّا ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ عَنۡهَا مُبۡعَدُونَ ۝١٠١
Ahmed Hulusi
As for those to whom beauty and happiness has been bestowed from Us, they will be kept far away from Hell.
inna alladhīna sabaqat lahum minnā l-ḥus'nā ulāika ʿanhā mub'ʿadūn
21:102 ›
لَا یَسۡمَعُونَ حَسِیسَهَاۖ وَهُمۡ فِی مَا ٱشۡتَهَتۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝١٠٢
Ahmed Hulusi
They will not hear the rumbling sound of it (Hell)... They will live forever among whatever their souls desire.
lā yasmaʿūna ḥasīsahā wahum fī mā ish'tahat anfusuhum khālidūn
21:103 ›
لَا یَحۡزُنُهُمُ ٱلۡفَزَعُ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ هَـٰذَا یَوۡمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِی كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ ۝١٠٣
Ahmed Hulusi
The great horror will not scare them (as the concept of death will be removed) and the angels will greet them, saying, “This is the day that you have been promised.”
lā yaḥzunuhumu l-fazaʿu l-akbaru watatalaqqāhumu l-malāikatu hādhā yawmukumu alladhī kuntum tūʿadūn
21:104 ›
یَوۡمَ نَطۡوِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ كَطَیِّ ٱلسِّجِلِّ لِلۡكُتُبِۚ كَمَا بَدَأۡنَاۤ أَوَّلَ خَلۡقࣲ نُّعِیدُهُۥۚ وَعۡدًا عَلَیۡنَاۤۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِینَ ۝١٠٤
Ahmed Hulusi
That day We will roll up the heavens like a scroll of paper! And We will return it to a state like We first created (the heavens and earth were joined together)! This is Our promise! It is Us who will fulfill it!
yawma naṭwī l-samāa kaṭayyi l-sijili lil'kutubi kamā badanā awwala khalqin nuʿīduhu waʿdan ʿalaynā innā kunnā fāʿilīn
21:105 ›
وَلَقَدۡ كَتَبۡنَا فِی ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلذِّكۡرِ أَنَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ یَرِثُهَا عِبَادِیَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ ۝١٠٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, We have already written in the Psalms (Book of Wisdom) following the Reminder (the previous knowledge that came as reminders), “My righteous servants (the vicegerancy principle) shall inherit the earth (the administration of the body with the forces of the Names)!”
walaqad katabnā fī l-zabūri min baʿdi l-dhik'ri anna l-arḍa yarithuhā ʿibādiya l-ṣāliḥūn
21:106 ›
إِنَّ فِی هَـٰذَا لَبَلَـٰغࣰا لِّقَوۡمٍ عَـٰبِدِینَ ۝١٠٦
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, there is explanatory information in this for the worshippers (who engage in practices of purification).
inna fī hādhā labalāghan liqawmin ʿābidīn
21:107 ›
وَمَاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةࣰ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٠٧
Ahmed Hulusi
And We have revealed you only as grace to the worlds (people)!
wamā arsalnāka illā raḥmatan lil'ʿālamīn
21:108 ›
قُلۡ إِنَّمَا یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیَّ أَنَّمَاۤ إِلَـٰهُكُمۡ إِلَـٰهࣱ وَ ٰحِدࣱۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ ۝١٠٨
Ahmed Hulusi
Say, “It has been revealed to me that what you think of as god is the ONE, possessor of Uluhiyyah! So, are you Muslims (aware of your submission)?”
qul innamā yūḥā ilayya annamā ilāhukum ilāhun wāḥidun fahal antum mus'limūn
21:109 ›
فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡا۟ فَقُلۡ ءَاذَنتُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ سَوَاۤءࣲۖ وَإِنۡ أَدۡرِیۤ أَقَرِیبٌ أَم بَعِیدࣱ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ ۝١٠٩
Ahmed Hulusi
If they turn away say, “I have informed you all in fairness... I do not know if what you have been promised (death) is near or far.”
fa-in tawallaw faqul ādhantukum ʿalā sawāin wa-in adrī aqarībun am baʿīdun mā tūʿadūn
21:110 ›
إِنَّهُۥ یَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا تَكۡتُمُونَ ۝١١٠
Ahmed Hulusi
“Indeed, He knows the thoughts you reveal and that which you conceal.”
innahu yaʿlamu l-jahra mina l-qawli wayaʿlamu mā taktumūn
21:111 ›
وَإِنۡ أَدۡرِی لَعَلَّهُۥ فِتۡنَةࣱ لَّكُمۡ وَمَتَـٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِینࣲ ۝١١١
Ahmed Hulusi
“I do not know, perhaps a reprieve is a trial for you (so that you experience and see the Truth about yourselves) and a limited benefit.”
wa-in adrī laʿallahu fit'natun lakum wamatāʿun ilā ḥīni
21:112 ›
قَـٰلَ رَبِّ ٱحۡكُم بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَرَبُّنَا ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ ٱلۡمُسۡتَعَانُ عَلَىٰ مَا تَصِفُونَ ۝١١٢
Ahmed Hulusi
He said, “My Rabb, judge with Truth! Against your baseless definitions Our Rabb, the Rahman is the Mustaan (the Helper we seek)!”
qāla rabbi uḥ'kum bil-ḥaqi warabbunā l-raḥmānu l-mus'taʿānu ʿalā mā taṣifūn
