1 Foreign Believers

۞ قُلۡ أُوحِیَ إِلَیَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبࣰا ۝١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “It was revealed to me that a group of the Jinn listened, then they said: “Indeed we heard an amazing Quran,

qul ūḥiya ilayya annahu is'tamaʿa nafarun mina l-jini faqālū innā samiʿ'nā qur'ānan ʿajaba

یَهۡدِیۤ إِلَى ٱلرُّشۡدِ فَءَامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ وَلَن نُّشۡرِكَ بِرَبِّنَاۤ أَحَدࣰا ۝٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

it guides to the right way, so we believed in it, and we will never associate anyone with our Lord,

yahdī ilā l-rush'di faāmannā bihi walan nush'rika birabbinā aḥada

وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَـٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَـٰحِبَةࣰ وَلَا وَلَدࣰا ۝٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

and that our Lord’s majesty is great, and He did not take a spouse or a child,

wa-annahu taʿālā jaddu rabbinā mā ittakhadha ṣāḥibatan walā walada

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ یَقُولُ سَفِیهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطࣰا ۝٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

and that the fools among us used to say outrageous (lies) about God,

wa-annahu kāna yaqūlu safīhunā ʿalā l-lahi shaṭaṭa

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّاۤ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلۡإِنسُ وَٱلۡجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبࣰا ۝٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

and we assumed that humans and Jinn never lie about God.

wa-annā ẓanannā an lan taqūla l-insu wal-jinu ʿalā l-lahi kadhiba

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ یَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقࣰا ۝٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

There were men among humans who were seeking protection from Jinn's men, so they increased them in foolishness (and injustice).

wa-annahu kāna rijālun mina l-insi yaʿūdhūna birijālin mina l-jini fazādūhum rahaqa

وَأَنَّهُمۡ ظَنُّوا۟ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن یَبۡعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدࣰا ۝٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they assumed as you assumed, that God never raises anyone.

wa-annahum ẓannū kamā ẓanantum an lan yabʿatha l-lahu aḥada

وَأَنَّا لَمَسۡنَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ فَوَجَدۡنَـٰهَا مُلِئَتۡ حَرَسࣰا شَدِیدࣰا وَشُهُبࣰا ۝٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And we touched the sky, then we found it filled with tough guards and shooting flames,

wa-annā lamasnā l-samāa fawajadnāhā muli-at ḥarasan shadīdan washuhuba

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقۡعُدُ مِنۡهَا مَقَـٰعِدَ لِلسَّمۡعِۖ فَمَن یَسۡتَمِعِ ٱلۡءَانَ یَجِدۡ لَهُۥ شِهَابࣰا رَّصَدࣰا ۝٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

and we used to sit there in positions for listening, but anyone who listens now finds a shooting flame waiting for him.

wa-annā kunnā naqʿudu min'hā maqāʿida lilssamʿi faman yastamiʿi l-āna yajid lahu shihāban raṣada

وَأَنَّا لَا نَدۡرِیۤ أَشَرٌّ أُرِیدَ بِمَن فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ أَرَادَ بِهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ رَشَدࣰا ۝١٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And we do not know if badness is wanted for anyone on the earth or their Lord wants a right way for them.

wa-annā lā nadrī asharrun urīda biman fī l-arḍi am arāda bihim rabbuhum rashada

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ كُنَّا طَرَاۤىِٕقَ قِدَدࣰا ۝١١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that some of us are the righteous and some of us are otherwise, we are (following) different ways.

wa-annā minnā l-ṣāliḥūna waminnā dūna dhālika kunnā ṭarāiqa qidada

وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّاۤ أَن لَّن نُّعۡجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَن نُّعۡجِزَهُۥ هَرَبࣰا ۝١٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And we know that we will never make God powerless on the earth, and we will never escape Him by running away.

wa-annā ẓanannā an lan nuʿ'jiza l-laha fī l-arḍi walan nuʿ'jizahu haraba

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعۡنَا ٱلۡهُدَىٰۤ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ فَمَن یُؤۡمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا یَخَافُ بَخۡسࣰا وَلَا رَهَقࣰا ۝١٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. Anyone who believes in his Lord, then he should not be afraid of a reduced (reward) or any injustice.

wa-annā lammā samiʿ'nā l-hudā āmannā bihi faman yu'min birabbihi falā yakhāfu bakhsan walā rahaqa

وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلۡمُسۡلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلۡقَـٰسِطُونَۖ فَمَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ تَحَرَّوۡا۟ رَشَدࣰا ۝١٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And some of us are the submitted ones, and some of us are unjust, so whoever submits (to God) then they have pursued the right way,

wa-annā minnā l-mus'limūna waminnā l-qāsiṭūna faman aslama fa-ulāika taḥarraw rashada

وَأَمَّا ٱلۡقَـٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا۟ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبࣰا ۝١٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

and as for the unjust, they are fuel for hell.””

wa-ammā l-qāsiṭūna fakānū lijahannama ḥaṭaba

وَأَلَّوِ ٱسۡتَقَـٰمُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِیقَةِ لَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰهُم مَّاۤءً غَدَقࣰا ۝١٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if they keep on the (right) way, then We give them plenty of water to drink (and plenty of wealth and provision),

wa-allawi is'taqāmū ʿalā l-ṭarīqati la-asqaynāhum māan ghadaqa

لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِیهِۚ وَمَن یُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ یَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابࣰا صَعَدࣰا ۝١٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

so that We test them by it. And anyone who stays away from his Lord's remembrance, He puts him in a terrible punishment.

linaftinahum fīhi waman yuʿ'riḍ ʿan dhik'ri rabbihi yasluk'hu ʿadhāban ṣaʿada

وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمَسَـٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدۡعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدࣰا ۝١٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Places of worship belong to God, so do not call on anyone with God.

wa-anna l-masājida lillahi falā tadʿū maʿa l-lahi aḥada

وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ یَدۡعُوهُ كَادُوا۟ یَكُونُونَ عَلَیۡهِ لِبَدࣰا ۝١٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when God's servant stood up calling on Him (alone), they almost became a mob against him.

wa-annahu lammā qāma ʿabdu l-lahi yadʿūhu kādū yakūnūna ʿalayhi libada

2 Protection of Revelation

قُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أَدۡعُوا۟ رَبِّی وَلَاۤ أُشۡرِكُ بِهِۦۤ أَحَدࣰا ۝٢٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I only call on my Lord and I do not associate anyone with Him.”

qul innamā adʿū rabbī walā ush'riku bihi aḥada

قُلۡ إِنِّی لَاۤ أَمۡلِكُ لَكُمۡ ضَرࣰّا وَلَا رَشَدࣰا ۝٢١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I do not have power of any harm or any benefit for you.”

qul innī lā amliku lakum ḍarran walā rashada

قُلۡ إِنِّی لَن یُجِیرَنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدࣱ وَلَنۡ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلۡتَحَدًا ۝٢٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Indeed no one will ever protect me from God, and I will never find any refuge besides Him.

qul innī lan yujīranī mina l-lahi aḥadun walan ajida min dūnihi mul'taḥada

إِلَّا بَلَـٰغࣰا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَـٰلَـٰتِهِۦۚ وَمَن یَعۡصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۤ أَبَدًا ۝٢٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

(I have no responsibility) except delivering (the truth) from God and His message.” And anyone who disobeys God and His messenger, then indeed fire of hell is for him, remaining in there forever.

illā balāghan mina l-lahi warisālātihi waman yaʿṣi l-laha warasūlahu fa-inna lahu nāra jahannama khālidīna fīhā abada

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا رَأَوۡا۟ مَا یُوعَدُونَ فَسَیَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ أَضۡعَفُ نَاصِرࣰا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدࣰا ۝٢٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Until when they see what they are promised, then they are going to know who is weaker in helper and fewer in number.

ḥattā idhā ra-aw mā yūʿadūna fasayaʿlamūna man aḍʿafu nāṣiran wa-aqallu ʿadada

قُلۡ إِنۡ أَدۡرِیۤ أَقَرِیبࣱ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمۡ یَجۡعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّیۤ أَمَدًا ۝٢٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I do not know whether what you are promised is near or if my Lord has set a far-out time for it.

qul in adrī aqarībun mā tūʿadūna am yajʿalu lahu rabbī amada

عَـٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ فَلَا یُظۡهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَیۡبِهِۦۤ أَحَدًا ۝٢٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

(God is) knower of the unseen, and He does not inform anyone of His unseen

illā mani ir'taḍā min rasūlin fa-innahu yasluku min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi raṣada

إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرۡتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولࣲ فَإِنَّهُۥ یَسۡلُكُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِ یَدَیۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِۦ رَصَدࣰا ۝٢٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

except any messenger whom He approves of, then He sends an observer (a guard) in front of him and behind him,

Illa mani irtada min rasoolin fa-innahu yasluku min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi rasadan

لِّیَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ أَبۡلَغُوا۟ رِسَـٰلَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَیۡهِمۡ وَأَحۡصَىٰ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍ عَدَدَۢا ۝٢٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

so that He knows that they have delivered their Lord’s message, and He surrounds (and has complete knowledge of) whatever is with them, and He keeps count of everything.”

liyaʿlama an qad ablaghū risālāti rabbihim wa-aḥāṭa bimā ladayhim wa-aḥṣā kulla shayin ʿadada
