The Forgiver, The Forgiving One 40:37

أَسْبَٰبَ asbāba

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ l-samāwāti
(to) the heavens Noun
فَأَطَّلِعَ fa-aṭṭaliʿa
so I may look V
إِلَىٰٓ ilā
at Prep
إِلَٰهِ ilāhi
(the) God Noun
مُوسَىٰ mūsā
(of) Musa Noun
وَإِنِّى wa-innī
and indeed, I Prep
لَأَظُنُّهُۥ la-aẓunnuhu
[I] surely think him V
كَٰذِبًا kādhiban
(to be) a liar Noun
وَكَذَٰلِكَ wakadhālika
And thus Noun
زُيِّنَ zuyyina
was made fair-seeming V
لِفِرْعَوْنَ lifir'ʿawna
to Firaun Noun
سُوٓءُ sūu
(the) evil Noun
عَمَلِهِۦ ʿamalihi
(of) his deed Noun
وَصُدَّ waṣudda
and he was averted V
عَنِ ʿani
from Prep
ٱلسَّبِيلِ l-sabīli
the way Noun
وَمَا wamā
And not Prep
كَيْدُ kaydu
(was the) plot Noun
فِرْعَوْنَ fir'ʿawna
(of) Firaun Noun
إِلَّا illā
except Prep
فِى fī
in Prep
تَبَابٍ tabābin
ruin Noun

to the heavens to look for this God of Moses. I am convinced that he is lying.’ In this way the evil of Pharaoh’s deed was made alluring to him and he was barred from the right path- his scheming led only to ruin

Arabic Text

أَسۡبَـٰبَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَىٰۤ إِلَـٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّی لَأَظُنُّهُۥ كَـٰذِبࣰاۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ زُیِّنَ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ سُوۤءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَصُدَّ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِیلِۚ وَمَا كَیۡدُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِلَّا فِی تَبَابࣲ ۝٣٧

asbāba l-samāwāti fa-aṭṭaliʿa ilā ilāhi mūsā wa-innī la-aẓunnuhu kādhiban wakadhālika zuyyina lifir'ʿawna sūu ʿamalihi waṣudda ʿani l-sabīli wamā kaydu fir'ʿawna illā fī tabābi
