Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. Abdel Haleem: If you fear that you will not deal fairly with orphan girls, you may marry whichever [other] women seem good to you, two, three, or four. If you fear that you cannot be equitable [to them], then marry only one, or your slave(s): that is more likely to make you avoid bias
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And if ye fear that ye will not deal fairly by the orphans, marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four; and if ye fear that ye cannot do justice (to so many) then one (only) or (the captives) that your right hands possess. Thus it is more likely that ye will not do injustice

Abdel Haleem: Give women their bridal gift upon marriage, though if they are happy to give up some of it for you, you may enjoy it with a clear conscience
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And give unto the women (whom ye marry) free gift of their marriage portions; but if they of their own accord remit unto you a part thereof, then ye are welcome to absorb it (in your wealth)
