1 Consequences of Rejection
77:1 ›
وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَـٰتِ عُرۡفࣰا ۝١
Ahmed Hulusi
By those disclosed one after another;
wal-mur'salāti ʿur'fa
77:2 ›
فَٱلۡعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصۡفࣰا ۝٢
Ahmed Hulusi
That blow about violently;
fal-ʿāṣifāti ʿaṣfa
77:3 ›
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَ ٰتِ نَشۡرࣰا ۝٣
Ahmed Hulusi
Who bring to life and cause to rise;
wal-nāshirāti nashra
77:4 ›
فَٱلۡفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرۡقࣰا ۝٤
Ahmed Hulusi
Who choose and separate;
fal-fāriqāti farqa
77:5 ›
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِیَـٰتِ ذِكۡرًا ۝٥
Ahmed Hulusi
And those who disclose the reminder (the forces that manifest in consciousness; the Exalted Assembly [Mala-i Ala]. The word ‘ilqa’ or ‘liqa’ [disclosure] is like ‘nafh’ [breath] in that it goes outward from within; it is an explicit projection experienced in the consciousness. In the sequence: the Hidden [Reflection of Attributes], the Secret [Reflection of Names], the Spirit [Fuad: Reflectors of the Names], the Heart [Consciousness] and the Self [Identity – Individual consciousness]. It looks to the reflections from the spirit to the heart. ‘Vicegerent’ [Khalifa] – ‘Man’ is the totality of all of these states or one who incorporates all of these states is called a true ‘Man’).
fal-mul'qiyāti dhik'ra
77:6 ›
عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا ۝٦
Ahmed Hulusi
To excuse (pardon misdeeds) or to warn.
innamā tūʿadūna lawāqiʿu
77:7 ›
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَ ٰقِعࣱ ۝٧
Ahmed Hulusi
What you are promised will definitely be fulfilled!
Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun
77:8 ›
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ ۝٨
Ahmed Hulusi
When the stars are extinguished,
fa-idhā l-nujūmu ṭumisa
77:9 ›
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ فُرِجَتۡ ۝٩
Ahmed Hulusi
And the sky is split open,
wa-idhā l-samāu furija
77:10 ›
وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ ۝١٠
Ahmed Hulusi
And the mountains are blown away,
wa-idhā l-jibālu nusifa
77:11 ›
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ ۝١١
Ahmed Hulusi
And the Rasuls (not the Nabis) take their new positions.
wa-idhā l-rusulu uqqita
77:12 ›
لِأَیِّ یَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ ۝١٢
Ahmed Hulusi
For which day were they postponed?
li-ayyi yawmin ujjila
77:13 ›
لِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ۝١٣
Ahmed Hulusi
For the time of sorting!
liyawmi l-faṣl
77:14 ›
وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا یَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ۝١٤
Ahmed Hulusi
And do you know what the time of sorting is?
wamā adrāka mā yawmu l-faṣl
77:15 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝١٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to those who denied (life after death) at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:16 ›
أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٦
Ahmed Hulusi
Did We not destroy the former people?
alam nuh'liki l-awalīn
77:17 ›
ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١٧
Ahmed Hulusi
Then We will make the later ones follow them (they too will be destroyed).
thumma nut'biʿuhumu l-ākhirīn
77:18 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٨
Ahmed Hulusi
Thus do We deal with the guilty!
kadhālika nafʿalu bil-muj'rimīn
77:19 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝١٩
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:20 ›
أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاۤءࣲ مَّهِینࣲ ۝٢٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Did We not create you from a simple water?
alam nakhluqkkum min māin mahīni
77:21 ›
فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ فِی قَرَارࣲ مَّكِینٍ ۝٢١
Ahmed Hulusi
We formed it in a safe place (the womb),
fajaʿalnāhu fī qarārin makīni
77:22 ›
إِلَىٰ قَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٢٢
Ahmed Hulusi
For a known time!
ilā qadarin maʿlūmi
77:23 ›
فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَـٰدِرُونَ ۝٢٣
Ahmed Hulusi
Thus We determined it! And excellent determiners We are!
faqadarnā faniʿ'ma l-qādirūn
77:24 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٢٤
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:25 ›
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا ۝٢٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Did We not make the earth a place of gathering?
alam najʿali l-arḍa kifāta
77:26 ›
أَحۡیَاۤءࣰ وَأَمۡوَ ٰتࣰا ۝٢٦
Ahmed Hulusi
For the living and the dead!
aḥyāan wa-amwāta
77:27 ›
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتࣲ وَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰكُم مَّاۤءࣰ فُرَاتࣰا ۝٢٧
Ahmed Hulusi
We formed therein elevated (grand, majestic) mountains that are firm and made you drink sweet water.
wajaʿalnā fīhā rawāsiya shāmikhātin wa-asqaynākum māan furāta
77:28 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٢٨
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:29 ›
ٱنطَلِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٢٩
Ahmed Hulusi
Proceed to that which you denied!
inṭaliqū ilā mā kuntum bihi tukadhibūn
77:30 ›
ٱنطَلِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلࣲّ ذِی ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبࣲ ۝٣٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Proceed to the shadow of the trident (let your faith in the trinity [God-the Son and the Holy Spirit] save you now)!
inṭaliqū ilā ẓillin dhī thalāthi shuʿabi
77:31 ›
لَّا ظَلِیلࣲ وَلَا یُغۡنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ ۝٣١
Ahmed Hulusi
It will neither shade you (from the Fire) nor save you from the blazing flame (different sensations of burning)!
lā ẓalīlin walā yugh'nī mina l-lahab
77:32 ›
إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِی بِشَرَرࣲ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ ۝٣٢
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, it shoots sparks as big as palaces!
innahā tarmī bishararin kal-qaṣr
77:33 ›
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتࣱ صُفۡرࣱ ۝٣٣
Ahmed Hulusi
Sparks like giant golden ropes!
ka-annahu jimālatun ṣuf'ru
77:34 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٣٤
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:35 ›
هَـٰذَا یَوۡمُ لَا یَنطِقُونَ ۝٣٥
Ahmed Hulusi
This is the day they shall not speak.
hādhā yawmu lā yanṭiqūn
77:36 ›
وَلَا یُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَیَعۡتَذِرُونَ ۝٣٦
Ahmed Hulusi
Nor will they be given permission to present excuses.
walā yu'dhanu lahum fayaʿtadhirūn
77:37 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٣٧
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:38 ›
هَـٰذَا یَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَـٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٣٨
Ahmed Hulusi
This is the time of sorting! We have brought you and the former ones together.
hādhā yawmu l-faṣli jamaʿnākum wal-awalīn
77:39 ›
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَیۡدࣱ فَكِیدُونِ ۝٣٩
Ahmed Hulusi
So, if you have a trick, try your trick against Me now!
fa-in kāna lakum kaydun fakīdūn
2 Consequences of Rejection
77:40 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٤٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:41 ›
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی ظِلَـٰلࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ۝٤١
Ahmed Hulusi
Indeed, the protected ones will be among shades and springs.
inna l-mutaqīna fī ẓilālin waʿuyūni
77:42 ›
وَفَوَ ٰكِهَ مِمَّا یَشۡتَهُونَ ۝٤٢
Ahmed Hulusi
With every fruit they desire.
wafawākiha mimmā yashtahūn
77:43 ›
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشۡرَبُوا۟ هَنِیۤءَۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٤٣
Ahmed Hulusi
“Eat and drink with joy as the result of your deeds!”
kulū wa-ish'rabū hanīan bimā kuntum taʿmalūn
77:44 ›
إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝٤٤
Ahmed Hulusi
Thus We respite the doers of good (in whose observation there is none but the Truth).
innā kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn
77:45 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٤٥
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:46 ›
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِیلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ ۝٤٦
Ahmed Hulusi
“Eat and enjoy yourself for a little (in this world)... Indeed, you are guilty!”
kulū watamattaʿū qalīlan innakum muj'rimūn
77:47 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٤٧
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:48 ›
وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُوا۟ لَا یَرۡكَعُونَ ۝٤٨
Ahmed Hulusi
And when they are told, “Bow,” they do not bow!
wa-idhā qīla lahumu ir'kaʿū lā yarkaʿūn
77:49 ›
وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٤٩
Ahmed Hulusi
Woe to the deniers at that time!
waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn
77:50 ›
فَبِأَیِّ حَدِیثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٥٠
Ahmed Hulusi
Then in what word will they believe after (this big news given by the Quran)?
fabi-ayyi ḥadīthin baʿdahu yu'minūn
