Ta Ha 20:134

أَهْلَكْنَٰهُم ahlaknāhum

بِعَذَابٍ biʿadhābin

لَقَالُوا۟ laqālū
surely they (would) have said V
رَبَّنَا rabbanā

لَوْلَآ lawlā

أَرْسَلْتَ arsalta
You sent V
إِلَيْنَا ilaynā
to us Prep
رَسُولًا rasūlan
a Messenger Noun
فَنَتَّبِعَ fanattabiʿa
so we (could) have followed V
ءَايَٰتِكَ āyātika
Your signs Noun
مِن min
before Prep
قَبْلِ qabli
before Noun
أَن an
[that] Prep
نَّذِلَّ nadhilla
we were humiliated V
وَنَخْزَىٰ wanakhzā
and disgraced V

If We had destroyed them through punishment before this Messenger came, they would have said, ‘Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, we could have followed Your revelations before we suffered humiliation and disgrace!’

وَلَوۡ أَنَّاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُم بِعَذَابࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ لَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا لَوۡلَاۤ أَرۡسَلۡتَ إِلَیۡنَا رَسُولࣰا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَایَـٰتِكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخۡزَىٰ ۝١٣٤

walaw annā ahlaknāhum biʿadhābin min qablihi laqālū rabbanā lawlā arsalta ilaynā rasūlan fanattabiʿa āyātika min qabli an nadhilla wanakhz
