وَٱلرَّسُولُ wal-rasūlu
while the Messenger Noun
يَدْعُوكُمْ yadʿūkum
was calling you V
فِىٓ fī

أُخْرَىٰكُمْ ukh'rākum
(from) behind you Noun
فَأَثَٰبَكُمْ fa-athābakum
So (He) repaid you V
غَمًّۢا ghamman
(with) distress Noun
بِغَمٍّ bighammin
on distress Noun
لِّكَيْلَا likaylā
so that not Prep
تَحْزَنُوا۟ taḥzanū
you grieve V
عَلَىٰ ʿalā
over Prep
مَا mā

فَاتَكُمْ fātakum
escaped you V
وَلَا walā

مَآ mā
what Noun
أَصَٰبَكُمْ aṣābakum
(had) befallen you V
وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu
And Allah Noun
خَبِيرٌۢ khabīrun
(is) All-Aware Noun
بِمَا bimā
of what Noun
تَعْمَلُونَ taʿmalūna
you do V

You fled without looking back while the Messenger was calling out to you from behind, and God rewarded you with sorrow for sorrow. [He has now forgiven you] so that you may not grieve for what you missed or for what happened to you. God is well aware of everything you do

۞ إِذۡ تُصۡعِدُونَ وَلَا تَلۡوُۥنَ عَلَىٰۤ أَحَدࣲ وَٱلرَّسُولُ یَدۡعُوكُمۡ فِیۤ أُخۡرَىٰكُمۡ فَأَثَـٰبَكُمۡ غَمَّۢا بِغَمࣲّ لِّكَیۡلَا تَحۡزَنُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا مَاۤ أَصَـٰبَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِیرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٥٣

idh tuṣ'ʿidūna walā talwūna ʿalā aḥadin wal-rasūlu yadʿūkum fī ukh'rākum fa-athābakum ghamman bighammin likaylā taḥzanū ʿalā mā fātakum walā mā aṣābakum wal-lahu khabīrun bimā taʿmalūn
