وَلَوْ walaw
And if Prep
We willed V
لَطَمَسْنَا laṭamasnā
We (would have) surely obliterated V
[over] Prep
their eyes Noun
then they (would) race V
ٱلصِّرَٰطَ l-ṣirāṭa
(to find) the path Noun
then how Noun
يُبْصِرُونَ yub'ṣirūna
(could) they see V

If it had been Our will, We could have taken away their sight. They would have struggled to find the way, but how could they have seen it

وَلَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَطَمَسۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ أَعۡیُنِهِمۡ فَٱسۡتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَ ٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ یُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٦٦

walaw nashāu laṭamasnā ʿalā aʿyunihim fa-is'tabaqū l-ṣirāṭa fa-annā yub'ṣirūn
