The Table, The Table Spread 5:107

عُثِرَ ʿuthira
it is discovered V
عَلَىٰٓ ʿalā

أَنَّهُمَا annahumā

ٱسْتَحَقَّآ is'taḥaqqā
(were) guilty V
إِثْمًا ith'man
(of) sin Noun
فَـَٔاخَرَانِ faākharāni
then (let) two others Noun
يَقُومَانِ yaqūmāni
stand V
مَقَامَهُمَا maqāmahumā
(in) their place Noun
مِنَ mina
from Prep
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna
those who Noun
ٱسْتَحَقَّ is'taḥaqqa
have a lawful right V
عَلَيْهِمُ ʿalayhimu
over them Prep
ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِ l-awlayāni
the former two Noun
فَيُقْسِمَانِ fayuq'simāni
and let them both swear V
بِٱللَّهِ bil-lahi
by Allah Noun
لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ lashahādatunā
Surely our testimony Noun
أَحَقُّ aḥaqqu
(is) truer Noun
مِن min
than Prep
شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا shahādatihimā
testimony of the other two Noun
وَمَا wamā
and not Prep
ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ iʿ'tadaynā
we have transgressed V
إِنَّآ innā
Indeed, we Prep
إِذًا idhan
then Prep
لَّمِنَ lamina
(will be) of Prep
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers Noun

If it is discovered that these two are guilty [of perjury], two of those whose rights have been usurped have a better right to bear witness in their place. Let them swear by God, ‘Our testimony is truer than theirs. We have said nothing but the truth, for that would make us wrongdoers’

Arabic Text

فَإِنۡ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰۤ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسۡتَحَقَّاۤ إِثۡمࣰا فَءَاخَرَانِ یَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱسۡتَحَقَّ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَوۡلَیَـٰنِ فَیُقۡسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَـٰدَتُنَاۤ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَـٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعۡتَدَیۡنَاۤ إِنَّاۤ إِذࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٠٧

fa-in ʿuthira ʿalā annahumā is'taḥaqqā ith'man faākharāni yaqūmāni maqāmahumā mina alladhīna is'taḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l-awlayāni fayuq'simāni bil-lahi lashahādatunā aḥaqqu min shahādatihimā wamā iʿ'tadaynā innā idhan lamina l-ẓālimīn
