لَعَلَّهُمْ laʿallahum

يَذَّكَّرُونَ yadhakkarūna

We inflicted years of drought and crop failure on Pharaoh’s people, so that they might take heed

وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَاۤ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِٱلسِّنِینَ وَنَقۡصࣲ مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَ ٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَذَّكَّرُونَ ۝١٣٠

walaqad akhadhnā āla fir'ʿawna bil-sinīna wanaqṣin mina l-thamarāti laʿallahum yadhakkarūn
