إِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهۡلِهِۦۤ إِنِّیۤ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارࣰا سَءَاتِیكُم مِّنۡهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوۡ ءَاتِیكُم بِشِهَابࣲ قَبَسࣲ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَصۡطَلُونَ ۝٧
idh qāla mūsā li-ahlihi innī ānastu nāran saātīkum min'hā bikhabarin aw ātīkum bishihābin qabasin laʿallakum taṣṭalūn
64 Translations
Moses said to his family, ‘I have seen a fire. I will bring you news from there, or a burning stick for you to warm yourselves.’
(Remember) when Moses said to his family: “Surely! I have seen a fire, I will bring you some information from it, or I will bring you a burning brand so that you may warm yourselves.”
Recall what time Musa said unto his household: verily I perceive a fire afar; I shall forthwith bring you tidings thereof, or bring unto you a brand lighted therefrom, haply ye may warm yourselves
(Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves."
When Moses said to his people, “I have perceived a fire... I will either bring news from it or a burning ember with which you can warm yourselves.”
When Musa said to his people, ´I can make out a fire. I will bring you news from it or at least a burning brand so that hopefully you will be able to warm yourselves.´
When Moses said to his family, ‘Indeed I descry a fire! I will bring you some news from it, or bring you a firebrand so that you may warm yourselves.’
(Remember and recount to them) when Moses (while traveling in the desert saw a fire and) said to his family: "I perceive a fire far off. (Wait here,) I will bring you from there some information (about where we are and the way we should take), or bring you at least a burning brand so that you may (kindle a fire and) warm yourselves."
(Recall) when Moses said to his companions, `Surely I see with feelings of warmth, of love, something like a fire. I will soon bring you some important information from there or at least bring you a flaming brand so that you may warm yourselves.
When Moses said to his people 'I observe a fire, and will bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that haply you shall warm yourselves.
(Remember) when Moses said to his family: “I noticed a fire, I am going to bring some news from it, or I bring a burning stick of it so that you may warm yourselves.”
Once, out in the desert, Moses saw the flames of a fire afar. He said to his folk: “Wait for me so that I go and see what it is all about and perhaps bring some fire to warm you up.”
Behold, Moses said to his family, “I perceive a fire, soon I will bring you from there some knowledge, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, so that you may warn yourselves
Recall when Moses said to his family, “I have surely glimpsed a fire. I will bring you some news from it, or bring you a firebrand, a borrowed flame, that you may warm yourselves.”
When Moses said to his people, 'Verily, I perceive a fire, I will bring you therefrom news; or I will bring you a burning brand; haply ye may be warned.
(Remember) when Moosa said to his wife, “I have sighted a fire; I will soon bring its news to you, or bring for you an ember from it so that you may warm yourselves.”
When Moses said to his family, “I have indeed perceived a fire and I will soon bring you from it a news [about the way] or I will bring you a burning brand so that you perhaps may warm yourselves.”
Remember when Moses said unto his family, verily I perceive fire: I will bring you tidings thereof, or I will bring you a lighted brand, that ye may be warmed
(Remember) When Moses said to his people, "Verily, I perceive a fire, I will bring you there from news; or I will bring you a burning brand that you may be warmed."
When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves.
Bear in mind when Moses said to his family, "I have perceived a fire; I will bring you tidings from it, or will bring you a blazing brand, that ye may warm you."
(Bring to mind) when Musa said to his family: “Verily, I have noticed a fire, soon I will approach you therefrom with some information or I come to you with a burning brand so that you may warm yourself.”
Mention when Moses said to his people: Truly, I, I observed a fire! I will bring you news from it or I will approach you with a flaming firebrand so that perhaps you would warm yourselves.
Moses said to his family, “Verily, I have seen a fire [in the distance]. I will bring from it some information, or I will bring you a burning branch so you may warm yourselves.”
Relate to them the story of Moses, when he said to his family: "I have seen a fire; soon I may either bring you some information from there or a lighted torch to warm yourselves with."
(Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves."
When Moses said to his family: Surely I see a fire; I will bring you news thence, or bring you therefrom a burning brand, so that you may warm yourselves
When Musa said to his family, "I perceive a fire, I will bring information to you from it or I will come to you with a flaming and burning brand, so that you may warm yourselves."
When Moses said to his family, "I do indeed see a fire. I shall bring you from there some information, or bring you a burning brand so that you warm yourselves therewith."
(Recall that incident) when Musa (Moses) said to his wife: ‘I have seen a fire (or I have perceived a flash of love and liking in the fire). Soon I shall bring you some news from it (for which we have been wandering in deserts and forests since long), or I shall bring (you also from there) some burning brand so that you (too) may feel the burn (of its heat).
And Moses said to his family: "I have seen a fire, I will bring you from there some news or I will bring you a burning piece so that you may be warmed."
And Moses said to his family: "I have seen a fire, I will bring you from there some news or I will bring you a burning piece so that you may be warmed.
And Moses said to his family: "I have seen a fire, I will bring you from there some news or I will bring you a burning piece so that you may be warmed."
When/if Moses said to his family/relation : "That I, I perceived/saw a fire, I will come to you from it with a news/information , or I come to you with a flame flame/torch , maybe/perhaps you warm (yourselves)"
Lo! [While lost in the desert,] Moses said to his family: “Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]; I may bring you from there some tiding [as to which way we are to pursue], or bring you [at least] a burning brand so that you might warm yourselves.”
As Musa (Moses) said to his family, "Surely I perceive a fire. Soon I will come up to you with news of it, or come up to you with a flaming brand that possibly you would warm yourselves."
(Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves
Moses said to his family, "I have seen some fire. I shall bring you some news about it or some fire so that you can warmyourselves"
(Remember) when Musa said to his family, .I have noticed a fire. I shall bring to you some news from it, or bring to you a live ember, so that you may warm yourselves
(Mention) when ‘Moses’ said unto his family: "Surely I see a fire. I will bring you news thence, or I will bring you a burning torch, so that you may warm yourselves.
(Remember) when Musa said to his family, "I notice a fire at a distance. I will get you some information from there, or (at least) get you a live coal so you may stay warm."
And (mention) when Moses said to his family: "Surely I see in the distance a fire, I will go and bring you news from there, or I will bring you a burning torch so that you may warm yourselves.
Mussa said to his family: I have just seen a fire, you stay here, I might be able to fetch you some information relative to the direction we pursue or fetch you a brand from the burning wood to kindle a fire to warm you up
Remember when Musa said to his wife, “I’ve seen a fire. I will bring you some news from there, or fetch you a burning coal so you can warm yourself.”
˹Remember˺ when Moses said to his family, “I have spotted a fire. I will either bring you some directions from there, or a burning torch so you may warm yourselves.”
When Musa (Moses) said to his family: I noticed a fire, I will bring you news from there or will bring you a glowing ember so you can warm yourselves.
Tell of Moses, who said to his people: ‘I can descry a fire. I will go and bring you news and a lighted torch to warm yourselves with.‘
Recall that Moses said to his family, "I see a fire; let me bring you news therefrom, or a torch to warm you."
[Mention] when Moses said to his family, "I think I see a fire. I will bring you information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."
[Mention] when Moses said to his family, “I think I see a fire. I will bring you information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves.”
When Moses said for his family, “I have familiarized a fire. I will bring you news from it; or bring you a burning flame, perhaps you may warm up.”
(Remember) When Moses said unto his family: �Verily I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that you warm yourselves
Moses said to his family: 'I perceive a fire. I will bring you from there some information, or else, I will bring you a burning brand so that you may warm yourselves.'
(Moses was also given a clear book. When he and his family were in a cold and dark valley), Moses said, "Behold, I see a fire. I may bring you news from there (about our location). Or bring you a burning torch so that you might warm yourselves." (28:29)
When Musa said to his family: Surely I see fire; I will bring to you from it some news, or I will bring to you therefrom a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves
Call to mind when Moses said to his family, `I perceive a fire. I will bring you from there some news of great import, or I will bring you a flaming brand that you may warm yourselves.
[Remember] when Moses said unto his family, “Verily, I perceive a fire. I shall bring you some news therefrom, or a brand, that haply you may warm yourselves.
(Remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his household: "Surely, I see a fire; Soon I will bring you some news from there, or I will bring you a burning piece to light our (own fire) fuel, so that you may warm yourselves."
When Moses said to his family, “I noticed a fire. I will bring you news from it, or a burning torch to warm yourselves.”
When Moses said to his family, 'I have glimpsed a fire. I will bring you some news from it; or bring you a firebrand, that you may warm yourselves.'
[Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."
When Moses said to his family, 'Indeed, I perceive a fire, I will bring you news from it or I will bring you a burning firebrand; perhaps you may warm yourselves.'
Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warn yourselves
