لَیۡسَ لَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ شَیۡءٌ أَوۡ یَتُوبَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ أَوۡ یُعَذِّبَهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ ظَـٰلِمُونَ ۝١٢٨
laysa laka mina l-amri shayon aw yatūba ʿalayhim aw yuʿadhibahum fa-innahum ẓālimūn
64 Translations
Whether God relents towards them or punishes them is not for you [Prophet] to decide: they are wrongdoers
The decision is not for you (Muhammad) whether He turns in Mercy to them or punishes them; surely, they are wrongdoers.
Not with thee is aught of the affair: He shall either relent toward them or torment them, for verily they are wrong-doers
You have no say in the matter if He pardon them or punish them, for they are unjust
It is not for you to judge; He will accept their repentance if He wills, or cause them suffering. For indeed, they are the wrongdoers.
You have no part in the affair. Either He will turn towards them or He will punish them, for they are wrongdoers.
You have no hand in the matter, whether He accepts their repentance or punishes them, for they are indeed wrongdoers
(O Messenger, you are a servant charged with a certain duty, therefore) it is not a matter for you whether He turns towards them in mercy (to accept their repentance for their unbelief, and grants them faith) or punishes them because they are wrongdoers
(O Prophet!) You have no say whatsoever in the matter, (it is upto Him alone) whether He turns towards them with mercy or punishes them because they are certainly wrongdoers
No part of the matter is thine, whether He turns towards them again, or chastises them; for they are evildoers
Nothing is up to you, He either accepts their repentance or punishes them. They are indeed wrongdoers.
You (Mohammad) are not in charge of anything. It is up to God alone to decide to either forgive them or punish them for them so unjust
Not for you, but for God, is the decision. Whether He turns in mercy to them, or punishes them, for they are indeed wrongdoers
Yousg have nothing (to say) regarding this matter: whether He accepts their repentance or punishes them, for they are certainly unjust.
Thou hast nothing to do with the affair at all, whether He turn towards them again or punish them; for, verily, they are unjust
This matter is not for you to decide - whether He guides them to repent or punishes them, for they are the unjust
From the command you have no part. Whether He accept their repentance or punish them - for they anyway are indeed those who have done wrong to their own souls.
It is no business of thine; whether God be turned unto them, or whether he punish them; they are surely unjust doers
It (the concern, responsibility or decision) is not for you whether He turns towards them again or punish them; for, verily, they are evil-doers
No part of the matter is yours whether He turns towards them or punishes them. They are harmdoers
It is none of thy concern whether He be turned unto them in kindness or chastise them: for verily they are wrongful doers
Not for you (is the responsibility) in the matter in any way whether He turns to them (in mercy) or punishes them because certainly they are transgressors
It is none of thy affair at all if He turns to them in forgiveness or He punishes them, for, truly, they are ones who are unjust.
It is not your concern whether (Allah) accepts their repentance or punishes them. They surely are sinners.
Not for thee, (but for Allah), is the decision: Whether He turn in mercy to them, or punish them; for they are indeed wrong-doers.
(O Messenger!) It is not for you to decide whether He will accept their repentance or chastise them, for they surely are wrongdoers
Thou has no concern in the matter whether He turns to them (mercifully) or chastises them; surely they are wrongdoers
There is nothing for you in this affair whether He turns to them (mercifully) or punishes them because they are unjust.
It was not for you to decide whether to pardon them, or punish them. But they did indeed do wrong.h
(O Beloved! Now) this matter is not your concern, whether Allah enables them to repent or torments them, because they are the transgressors
You will have no say in the matter, for He may pardon them, or punish them; for they are wicked

(It) is not to you from the matter/affair a thing, or He forgives on them or He tortures them, so then they are unjust/oppressors
[And] it is in no wise for thee [O Prophet] to decide whether He shall accept their repentance or chastise them - for, behold, they are but wrongdoers
You have nothing to do concerning the Command, (i.e. My Command) whether He relents towards them or torments them, as surely they are unjust
It is no concern at all of thee (Muhammad) whether He relent toward them or punish them; for they are evil-doers
(Muhammad), it is not your concern whether He forgives them or punishes them for they are unjust
You have no authority in the matter, unless Allah forgives them or punishes them, as they are unjust
(O’ Muhammad) let it not be your concern, whether Allâh is going to forgive them, or whether He is going to chastise them, for indeed, they are grossly unfair and morally wrong.
It isn´t your concern at all (Oh Muhammad, SAW) whether He (relents and) turns to them (in forgiveness), or inflicts a (severe) punishment upon them. They certainly are the wrong doers
Do not let it be your concern. It is up to Allah to forgive or punish them, for they have voluntarily and consciously abandoned the Knowledge of the Truth in favour of their own whims.
It is none of your concern nor is it the concern of your people O Muhammad whether Allah reduces your enemy's number and their land or the extent of their power and wealth or whether He effects their defeat or relents and pardons their offence or requites them with retributive punishment. They are a wrongful people
It isn’t your concern whether Allah forgives them or punishes them; they are wrongdoers.
You ˹O Prophet˺ have no say in the matter. It is up to Allah to turn to them in mercy or punish them, for indeed they are wrongdoers.

Not for you, [O Muhammad, but for Allah ], is the decision whether He should [cut them down] or forgive them or punish them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers
