1 Not a Madman's Message
68:1 ›
۞ نۤۚ وَٱلۡقَلَمِ وَمَا یَسۡطُرُونَ ۝١
Bakhtiari Nejad
N. (Nun.) By the pen and what they write,
noon wal-qalami wamā yasṭurūn
68:2 ›
مَاۤ أَنتَ بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجۡنُونࣲ ۝٢
Bakhtiari Nejad
by your Lord's grace, you are not a madman.
mā anta biniʿ'mati rabbika bimajnūni
68:3 ›
وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجۡرًا غَیۡرَ مَمۡنُونࣲ ۝٣
Bakhtiari Nejad
And indeed, an unending reward is for you.
wa-inna laka la-ajran ghayra mamnūni
68:4 ›
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝٤
Bakhtiari Nejad
And you are indeed on a great manner/character (by means of Quran).
wa-innaka laʿalā khuluqin ʿaẓīmi
68:5 ›
فَسَتُبۡصِرُ وَیُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٥
Bakhtiari Nejad
So, you are going to see and they will see,
fasatub'ṣiru wayub'ṣirūn
68:6 ›
بِأَییِّكُمُ ٱلۡمَفۡتُونُ ۝٦
Bakhtiari Nejad
which of you is the crazy one.
bi-ayyikumu l-maftūn
68:7 ›
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِیلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلۡمُهۡتَدِینَ ۝٧
Bakhtiari Nejad
Indeed, your Lord knows best who is lost from His way, and He knows best who the guided ones are.
inna rabbaka huwa aʿlamu biman ḍalla ʿan sabīlihi wahuwa aʿlamu bil-muh'tadīn
68:8 ›
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٨
Bakhtiari Nejad
So, do not obey the deniers.
falā tuṭiʿi l-mukadhibīn
68:9 ›
وَدُّوا۟ لَوۡ تُدۡهِنُ فَیُدۡهِنُونَ ۝٩
Bakhtiari Nejad
They wish that you would be flexible (to appease them), then they would be flexible.
waddū law tud'hinu fayud'hinūn
68:10 ›
وَلَا تُطِعۡ كُلَّ حَلَّافࣲ مَّهِینٍ ۝١٠
Bakhtiari Nejad
So, do not obey any insignificant oath taker,
walā tuṭiʿ kulla ḥallāfin mahīni
68:11 ›
هَمَّازࣲ مَّشَّاۤءِۭ بِنَمِیمࣲ ۝١١
Bakhtiari Nejad
slandering, going around (spreading) malicious lies,
hammāzin mashāin binamīmi
68:12 ›
مَّنَّاعࣲ لِّلۡخَیۡرِ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِیمٍ ۝١٢
Bakhtiari Nejad
preventing the good, exceeding the limits, sinful,
mannāʿin lil'khayri muʿ'tadin athīmi
68:13 ›
عُتُلِّۭ بَعۡدَ ذَ ٰلِكَ زَنِیمٍ ۝١٣
Bakhtiari Nejad
ill-mannered (and despicable), and after all this mean (and notorious),
an kāna dhā mālin wabanīn
68:14 ›
أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالࣲ وَبَنِینَ ۝١٤
Bakhtiari Nejad
even if he is wealthy and has many children.
An kana tha malin wabaneena
68:15 ›
إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِ ءَایَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٥
Bakhtiari Nejad
When Our verses are read to him, he says: “Stories of the earlier ones.”
idhā tut'lā ʿalayhi āyātunā qāla asāṭīru l-awalīn
68:16 ›
سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلۡخُرۡطُومِ ۝١٦
Bakhtiari Nejad
We are going to brand him on the nose.
sanasimuhu ʿalā l-khur'ṭūm
68:17 ›
إِنَّا بَلَوۡنَـٰهُمۡ كَمَا بَلَوۡنَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ إِذۡ أَقۡسَمُوا۟ لَیَصۡرِمُنَّهَا مُصۡبِحِینَ ۝١٧
Bakhtiari Nejad
Indeed, We test them as We tested the owners of the garden when they swore they shall pick it in the morning,
innā balawnāhum kamā balawnā aṣḥāba l-janati idh aqsamū layaṣrimunnahā muṣ'biḥīn
68:18 ›
وَلَا یَسۡتَثۡنُونَ ۝١٨
Bakhtiari Nejad
with no exceptions.
walā yastathnūn
68:19 ›
فَطَافَ عَلَیۡهَا طَاۤىِٕفࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمۡ نَاۤىِٕمُونَ ۝١٩
Bakhtiari Nejad
Then a disaster from your Lord came to it while they were sleeping,
faṭāfa ʿalayhā ṭāifun min rabbika wahum nāimūn
68:20 ›
فَأَصۡبَحَتۡ كَٱلصَّرِیمِ ۝٢٠
Bakhtiari Nejad
so it became like a totally picked field.
fa-aṣbaḥat kal-ṣarīm
68:21 ›
فَتَنَادَوۡا۟ مُصۡبِحِینَ ۝٢١
Bakhtiari Nejad
Then they called one another in the morning
fatanādaw muṣ'biḥīn
68:22 ›
أَنِ ٱغۡدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرۡثِكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰرِمِینَ ۝٢٢
Bakhtiari Nejad
(saying:) “Go to your crop early if you are pickers (of the fruits)”
ani igh'dū ʿalā ḥarthikum in kuntum ṣārimīn
68:23 ›
فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمۡ یَتَخَـٰفَتُونَ ۝٢٣
Bakhtiari Nejad
so they went on, and they were talking softly (saying:)
fa-inṭalaqū wahum yatakhāfatūn
68:24 ›
أَن لَّا یَدۡخُلَنَّهَا ٱلۡیَوۡمَ عَلَیۡكُم مِّسۡكِینࣱ ۝٢٤
Bakhtiari Nejad
“No poor shall enter it against you (your will) today.”
an lā yadkhulannahā l-yawma ʿalaykum mis'kīnu
68:25 ›
وَغَدَوۡا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرۡدࣲ قَـٰدِرِینَ ۝٢٥
Bakhtiari Nejad
And they went out early determined and capable.
waghadaw ʿalā ḥardin qādirīn
68:26 ›
فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡهَا قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّا لَضَاۤلُّونَ ۝٢٦
Bakhtiari Nejad
Then when they saw it, they said: “We are definitely lost,
falammā ra-awhā qālū innā laḍāllūn
68:27 ›
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ ۝٢٧
Bakhtiari Nejad
no, but we are deprived.”
bal naḥnu maḥrūmūn
68:28 ›
قَالَ أَوۡسَطُهُمۡ أَلَمۡ أَقُل لَّكُمۡ لَوۡلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ ۝٢٨
Bakhtiari Nejad
The fairest of them said: “Did I not tell you: “Why do you not glorify (God)?”?”
qāla awsaṭuhum alam aqul lakum lawlā tusabbiḥūn
68:29 ›
قَالُوا۟ سُبۡحَـٰنَ رَبِّنَاۤ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٢٩
Bakhtiari Nejad
They said: “Our Lord is flawless; indeed we were wrongdoers.”
qālū sub'ḥāna rabbinā innā kunnā ẓālimīn
68:30 ›
فَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ یَتَلَـٰوَمُونَ ۝٣٠
Bakhtiari Nejad
So, they turned on each other blaming one another.
fa-aqbala baʿḍuhum ʿalā baʿḍin yatalāwamūn
68:31 ›
قَالُوا۟ یَـٰوَیۡلَنَاۤ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَـٰغِینَ ۝٣١
Bakhtiari Nejad
They said: “Woe to us, indeed we were rebellious,
qālū yāwaylanā innā kunnā ṭāghīn
68:32 ›
عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَاۤ أَن یُبۡدِلَنَا خَیۡرࣰا مِّنۡهَاۤ إِنَّاۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَ ٰغِبُونَ ۝٣٢
Bakhtiari Nejad
perhaps our Lord gives us better than that in exchange, indeed we are fond of our Lord.”
kadhālika l-ʿadhābu walaʿadhābu l-ākhirati akbaru law kānū yaʿlamūn
68:33 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡعَذَابُۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ أَكۡبَرُۚ لَوۡ كَانُوا۟ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٣
Bakhtiari Nejad
That is how the punishment is, and the punishment of the Hereafter is certainly greater, if they knew.
Kathalika alAAathabu walaAAathabu al-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona
2 A Reminder for Nations
68:34 ›
إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝٣٤
Bakhtiari Nejad
Indeed, there are gardens of delight with their Lord for those who are cautious (of God).
inna lil'muttaqīna ʿinda rabbihim jannāti l-naʿīm
68:35 ›
أَفَنَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ كَٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣٥
Bakhtiari Nejad
Shall We then place/treat the submitted ones the same as the guilty ones (in the Hereafter)?
afanajʿalu l-mus'limīna kal-muj'rimīn
68:36 ›
مَا لَكُمۡ كَیۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ ۝٣٦
Bakhtiari Nejad
What is with you, how do you judge (like this)?
mā lakum kayfa taḥkumūn
68:37 ›
أَمۡ لَكُمۡ كِتَـٰبࣱ فِیهِ تَدۡرُسُونَ ۝٣٧
Bakhtiari Nejad
Do you have a book that you study from,
am lakum kitābun fīhi tadrusūn
68:38 ›
إِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِیهِ لَمَا تَخَیَّرُونَ ۝٣٨
Bakhtiari Nejad
and in it you have whatever you choose?
inna lakum fīhi lamā takhayyarūn
68:39 ›
أَمۡ لَكُمۡ أَیۡمَـٰنٌ عَلَیۡنَا بَـٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ إِنَّ لَكُمۡ لَمَا تَحۡكُمُونَ ۝٣٩
Bakhtiari Nejad
Or do you have any vows (binding) on Us, reaching to the Resurrection Day, that whatever you judge is yours?
am lakum aymānun ʿalaynā bālighatun ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati inna lakum lamā taḥkumūn
68:40 ›
سَلۡهُمۡ أَیُّهُم بِذَ ٰلِكَ زَعِیمٌ ۝٤٠
Bakhtiari Nejad
Ask them which one of them guarantees this.
salhum ayyuhum bidhālika zaʿīmu
68:41 ›
أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شُرَكَاۤءُ فَلۡیَأۡتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمۡ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٤١
Bakhtiari Nejad
Or do they have associates? Then let them bring their associates if they are truthful.
am lahum shurakāu falyatū bishurakāihim in kānū ṣādiqīn
68:42 ›
یَوۡمَ یُكۡشَفُ عَن سَاقࣲ وَیُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ۝٤٢
Bakhtiari Nejad
On a day when the leg is bared (and the deeds are exposed) and they are called to prostration but they cannot,
yawma yuk'shafu ʿan sāqin wayud'ʿawna ilā l-sujūdi falā yastaṭīʿūn
68:43 ›
خَـٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَـٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۖ وَقَدۡ كَانُوا۟ یُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمۡ سَـٰلِمُونَ ۝٤٣
Bakhtiari Nejad
lowering their eyes, humiliation overcomes them, and they had been called to show humbleness while they were sound and healthy.
khāshiʿatan abṣāruhum tarhaquhum dhillatun waqad kānū yud'ʿawna ilā l-sujūdi wahum sālimūn
68:44 ›
فَذَرۡنِی وَمَن یُكَذِّبُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِیثِۖ سَنَسۡتَدۡرِجُهُم مِّنۡ حَیۡثُ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٤٤
Bakhtiari Nejad
So, leave Me (alone) with anyone who denies this saying (Quran), We are going to gradually lure them to destruction from where they do not know.
fadharnī waman yukadhibu bihādhā l-ḥadīthi sanastadrijuhum min ḥaythu lā yaʿlamūn
68:45 ›
وَأُمۡلِی لَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ كَیۡدِی مَتِینٌ ۝٤٥
Bakhtiari Nejad
And I give them time, as My plan is solid.
wa-um'lī lahum inna kaydī matīnu
68:46 ›
أَمۡ تَسۡءَلُهُمۡ أَجۡرࣰا فَهُم مِّن مَّغۡرَمࣲ مُّثۡقَلُونَ ۝٤٦
Bakhtiari Nejad
Or do you ask them for a wage, and they are weighed down by the debt?
am tasaluhum ajran fahum min maghramin muth'qalūn
68:47 ›
أَمۡ عِندَهُمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبُ فَهُمۡ یَكۡتُبُونَ ۝٤٧
Bakhtiari Nejad
Or is the unseen with them, so they write it?
am ʿindahumu l-ghaybu fahum yaktubūn
68:48 ›
فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلۡحُوتِ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكۡظُومࣱ ۝٤٨
Bakhtiari Nejad
So, be patient for judgment of your Lord and do not be like companion of the fish (Jonah) when he called out while he was irritated.
fa-iṣ'bir liḥuk'mi rabbika walā takun kaṣāḥibi l-ḥūti idh nādā wahuwa makẓūmu
68:49 ›
لَّوۡلَاۤ أَن تَدَ ٰرَكَهُۥ نِعۡمَةࣱ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلۡعَرَاۤءِ وَهُوَ مَذۡمُومࣱ ۝٤٩
Bakhtiari Nejad
If it was not for a favor from his Lord that had reached him, he would have been thrown to the desert shore while he was condemned.
lawlā an tadārakahu niʿ'matun min rabbihi lanubidha bil-ʿarāi wahuwa madhmūmu
68:50 ›
فَٱجۡتَبَـٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝٥٠
Bakhtiari Nejad
But his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.
fa-ij'tabāhu rabbuhu fajaʿalahu mina l-ṣāliḥīn
68:51 ›
وَإِن یَكَادُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَیُزۡلِقُونَكَ بِأَبۡصَـٰرِهِمۡ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَیَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ ۝٥١
Bakhtiari Nejad
And those who disbelieve almost make you slip with their eyes (looking hatefully and sarcastically) when they hear the reminder, and they say: “He is certainly mad.”
wa-in yakādu alladhīna kafarū layuz'liqūnaka bi-abṣārihim lammā samiʿū l-dhik'ra wayaqūlūna innahu lamajnūnu
68:52 ›
وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٥٢
Bakhtiari Nejad
And it (Quran) is only a reminder for humankind.
wamā huwa illā dhik'run lil'ʿālamīn
