ٱللَّهُ l-lahu

لَجَعَلَكُمْ lajaʿalakum

وَٰحِدَةً wāḥidatan

وَلَٰكِن walākin
but Prep
يُضِلُّ yuḍillu
He lets go astray V
مَن man
whom Noun
يَشَآءُ yashāu
He wills V
وَيَهْدِى wayahdī
and guides V
مَن man
whom Noun
يَشَآءُ yashāu
He wills V
وَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ walatus'alunna
And surely you will be questioned V
عَمَّا ʿammā
about what Prep
كُنتُمْ kuntum
you used (to) V
تَعْمَلُونَ taʿmalūna
do V

If God so willed, He would have made you all one people, but He leaves to stray whoever He will and guides whoever He will. You will be questioned about your deeds

وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمۡ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ وَلَـٰكِن یُضِلُّ مَن یَشَاۤءُ وَیَهۡدِی مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَلَتُسۡءَلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٣

walaw shāa l-lahu lajaʿalakum ummatan wāḥidatan walākin yuḍillu man yashāu wayahdī man yashāu walatus'alunna ʿammā kuntum taʿmalūn
