The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:110

وَتُؤْمِنُونَ watu'minūna
and believing V
بِٱللَّهِ bil-lahi

وَلَوْ walaw

ءَامَنَ āmana

أَهْلُ ahlu
(the) People Noun
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ l-kitābi
(of) the Book Noun
لَكَانَ lakāna
surely would have been V
خَيْرًا khayran
good Noun
لَّهُم lahum
for them Noun
مِّنْهُمُ min'humu
Among them Prep
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ l-mu'minūna
(are) [the] believers Noun
وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ wa-aktharuhumu
but most of them Noun
ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ l-fāsiqūna
(are) defiantly disobedient Noun

[Believers], you are the best community singled out for people: you order what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in God. If the People of the Book had also believed, it would have been better for them. For although some of them do believe, most of them are lawbreakers

كُنتُمۡ خَیۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِۗ وَلَوۡ ءَامَنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لَكَانَ خَیۡرࣰا لَّهُمۚ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمُ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقُونَ ۝١١٠

kuntum khayra ummatin ukh'rijat lilnnāsi tamurūna bil-maʿrūfi watanhawna ʿani l-munkari watu'minūna bil-lahi walaw āmana ahlu l-kitābi lakāna khayran lahum min'humu l-mu'minūna wa-aktharuhumu l-fāsiqūn
