یُرِیدُونَ لِیُطۡفِءُوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفۡوَ ٰهِهِمۡ وَٱللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ ۝٨

yurīdūna liyuṭ'fiū nūra l-lahi bi-afwāhihim wal-lahu mutimmu nūrihi walaw kariha l-kāfirūn

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

yurīdūna an yuṭ'fiū nūra l-lahi bi-afwāhihim wayabā l-lahu illā an yutimma nūrahu walaw kariha l-kāfirūn

They try to extinguish God’s light with their mouths, but God insists on bringing His light to its fullness, even if the disbelievers hate it
