Repentance 9:65

لَيَقُولُنَّ layaqūlunna
surely they will say V
إِنَّمَا innamā

وَنَلْعَبُ wanalʿabu
and playing V
قُلْ qul
Say V
أَبِٱللَّهِ abil-lahi

وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ waāyātihi
and His Verses Noun
وَرَسُولِهِۦ warasūlihi
and His Messenger Noun
كُنتُمْ kuntum
(that) you were V
تَسْتَهْزِءُونَ tastahziūna
mocking V

yet if you were to question them, they would be sure to say, ‘We were just chatting, just amusing ourselves.’ Say, ‘Were you making jokes about God, His Revelations, and His Mes-senger

وَلَىِٕن سَأَلۡتَهُمۡ لَیَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلۡعَبُۚ قُلۡ أَبِٱللَّهِ وَءَایَـٰتِهِۦ وَرَسُولِهِۦ كُنتُمۡ تَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٦٥

wala-in sa-altahum layaqūlunna innamā kunnā nakhūḍu wanalʿabu qul abil-lahi waāyātihi warasūlihi kuntum tastahziūn
