تَرَىٰ كَثِیرࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ یَتَوَلَّوۡنَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ لَهُمۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَفِی ٱلۡعَذَابِ هُمۡ خَـٰلِدُونَ ٨٠
tarā kathīran min'hum yatawallawna alladhīna kafarū labi'sa mā qaddamat lahum anfusuhum an sakhiṭa l-lahu ʿalayhim wafī l-ʿadhābi hum khālidūn
You [Prophet] see many of them allying themselves with the disbelievers. How terrible is what their souls have stored up for them: God is angry with them and they will remain tormented
You see many of them; they make friends with those who disbelieved. Evil indeed is that they themselves have sent forth for them. For that reason, they have incurred the Wrath of Allah, and they will abide forever in punishment.
Thou wilt see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; vile surely is that which their souls have sent forth for them, so that Allah became incensed against them; and in torment they shall be abiders
You can see among them many allying themselves with the infidels. Vile it was what they sent ahead of them, so that God's indignation came upon them; and torment will they suffer an eternity
You will see the majority of them befriending those who deny the knowledge of the reality... How wretched is the eventuality prepared by their ego! The wrath of Allah is on them! They will be subject to suffering eternally.
You see many of them taking those who are kafir as their friends. What their lower selves have advanced for them is evil indeed, bringing Allah´s anger down upon them. They will suffer punishment timelessly, for ever.
You see many of them fraternizing with the faithless. Surely evil is what they have sent ahead for their souls, as Allah is displeased with them and they shall remain in punishment [forever]
You see many of them (the Jews) taking those who disbelieve as allies and friends (instead of allying with the Messenger and the believers). Evil indeed is what they themselves send ahead for themselves (for their future and for the life hereafter), so that God will condemn them, and they will abide in the punishment
You will find many of them allying (themselves) with those who disbelieve. Evil is that which they have sent forward for themselves (to the effect) that Allah is displeased with them and in this punishment they shall abide
Thou seest many of them making unbelievers their friends. Evil is that they have forwarded to their account, that God is angered against them, and in the chastisement they shall dwell forever
You see many of them turn (for protection/support) to those who disbelieve. What their own selves have sent ahead for them (their deeds) is certainly miserable, making God angry with them, and they will remain in punishment forever.
You would see many of them take the side of the disbelievers. It is an evil end to which their soul has guided them as they have angered God and will suffer [in the Hell] forever
You see many of them turning in friendship to the unbelievers. Wrong indeed is that which their souls have sent forward before them. God's punishment is on them, and they will live in torment
Yousg see many of them taking those who deny as allies. Truly miserable is what their (inner) selves have put forth for them, that Allah's anger fell upon them and in the punishment they abide.
Thou wilt see many of them taking those who disbelieve for their patrons; evil is that which their souls have sent before them, for God's wrath is on them, and in the torment shall they dwell for aye
You will see that many of them make friends with the disbelievers; what an evil thing they had sent ahead for themselves, for Allah’s wrath came upon them and they will remain in the punishment, forever

You see a multitude among them pick up as auliya those who have disbelieved. Indeed, evil it is what have sent forward for them their ownselves — so that Allah delivered wrath over them and in (hell-) torment they (shall be) abiders
Thou hast seen many of them turning away to those who were ungrateful. Miserable was what was put forward for them themselves so that God was displeased with them and in their punishment they are ones who will dwell in it forever.
You see many of them befriending the unbelievers. The investment their souls have made is evil indeed. Allah’s wrath is on them. They will abide in torment.
As you can see many of them are taking the side of the unbelievers. Evil is that, which their souls have sent forth for them for the Hereafter. Because they have incurred the wrath of Allah, so in punishment, they are going to live forever
And now you can see many of them taking the unbelievers (instead of the believers) for their allies. Indeed they have prepared evil for themselves. Allah is angry with them, and they shall abide in chastisement
Thou seest many of them befriending those who disbelieve. Certainly evil is that which their souls send before for them, so that Allah is displeased with them and in chastisement will they abide
You see many of them turning (in friendship) towards those who do not believe, evil is that which their souls have sent forth for them, (because of ) that Allah is displeased with them and they will stay in the punishment.
You see many of them being close to those who suppress the Truth. What their sensual selves have sent ahead for them is certainly so bad that Allah is displeased with them. And in punishment shall they abide
You will see most of them befriending the disbelievers. How evil that is which they have sent forward for their (accountability on the Last Day) and (that is) that Allah is (highly) displeased with them and they will suffer from the torment forever
You see many of them allying the rejecters. Wicked is what their souls have provided for them, for God's wrath is upon them, and in the retribution they will abide

You see many of them patronizing the ones who have disbelieved. So miserable indeed is whatever their selves have forwarded for them, that Allah has been wrathful against them, and in the torment they are eternally (abiding)
Thou seest many of them making friends with those who disbelieve. Surely ill for them is that which they themselves send on before them: that Allah will be wroth with them and in the doom they will abide
You have seen many of them establishing friendship with the unbelievers. Vile is what their souls have gained! They have invoked the wrath of God upon themselves and they will live forever in torment
You see many of them take the infidels (the pagans) for friends. Indeed, evil is what they have sent ahead for themselves, for Allah is angry with them, and they are to remain in torment for ever
You can see many of them taking those who do lack Faith (in Allâh) as their guardians. Evil indeed is that which their own selves have sent before them. For that reason the wrath of Allâh abides upon them, and they will remain in the doom forever.
(Today) you will find that most of them have taken the unbelievers as their allies. Evil indeed is what their souls have (attained and) sent ahead (for reckoning). Allah´s wrath is upon them, and they shall stay in the torment forever
You can see many of them taking those who persistently refuse to Yield to the Truth as their guardians. Evil indeed is that which their own selves have sent before them. For that reason the wrath of Allâh abides in them. And in the torment shall they live forever.
You see many of them ally themselves to the infidels who disbelieved in Allah. Evil indeed is what their inherent dominating power has determined for them that it made Allah deny them mercy on their souls and destine them to eternal suffering Hereafter
You will see many of them seeking the protection of disbelievers. How wretched is what they’ve stored for themselves, inviting Allah’s wrath and punishment forever!
You see many of them taking the disbelievers as allies. Truly wicked are their misdeeds, which have earned them Allah’s wrath. And they will be in everlasting torment.
You see many of them befriending those who reject (the truth), bad is indeed what they have sent ahead for themselves so that Allah is displeased with them and they will remain in the punishment.
You see many among them make friends with unbelievers. Evil is that to which their souls prompt them. They have incurred the wrath of God and shall endure eternal torment
You would see many of them allying themselves with those who disbelieve. Miserable indeed is what their hands have sent forth on behalf of their souls. GOD is angry with them and, consequently, they will abide forever in retribution.
